Chapter 4 His Wounds Are So Real

At home, Zoya is greeted warmly by the mother who just finished struggling in the kitchen. He knew his daughter was working hard and did not want to bring up her delay in their family event with the extended family. Zoya feels bad and apologizes, he reasoned his operating schedule was delayed so he came home late. The reason why not tell the truth is because you don't want your mother to worry.

"Yes, you must be tired, right? Just take a break to the room." exclaimed the gentle mother.

Zoya goes to the room immediately. There she cries remembering how Bryan treated her. Of the many people, he never expected that Bryan would hurt him like this just because the women in his past came back. The day he went through was very heavy, especially the day after he had a long operating schedule.

Zoya picks up her phone from the bag and checks. Usually Bryan would shower him with dozens of messages. However, at this time he did not find a single message going into his phone. Zoya tries to call her number, but only the voice of the operator greets her. He threw his cell phone and decided to take a break.

"The past always changes the present. I am only a small part of your beautiful memory replaced by the one who first filled your heart."

The next day, Zoya leaves as usual. He greeted his parents who were waiting for him at the dinner table.

"Darling, let's eat breakfast first."

"Ma, Zoya has breakfast at the hospital."

"Loh, why? We haven't had breakfast together in a long time."

"Ma, Zoya must have had a lot of busyness in the hospital. Not to mention that she has to prepare for her marriage with Bryan soon." her father explained as he winked at Zoya.

"Still Papa." whispered Zoya from afar and left immediately.

Arriving at the hospital, Zoya immediately headed to her room and placed the bag on the table. A nurse came in.

"Doctor Zoya, the patient on Donita's behalf wants to see you."

"I'll be there soon" he said.

Zoya shook her head, she should not mix personal matters with her work. With a slow breath he immediately approached Donita who was lying in her room. There was already Bryan who was always ready to accompany him and it made him very careless.

"Can I help you, Miss Donita? Are there any complaints?" ask Zoya with a smile.

Donita sees Bryan still faithfully accompany her.

"Something I want to tell you."

Zoya turned her gaze to Bryan who was currently looking at her as well.

"I can't marry you, because I still love Donita so much."

Zoya almost fell down as the sentence came out of Bryan's lips. It was so easy for that man to hurt his heart. Why from so much time, he had to destroy the morning. Zoya looked at Donita who was smiling.

"What says this has to be at a time like this?" zoya asked with a trembling voice. He tried to regulate his breath and voice so as not to waver.

"I want to end it in front of Donita so she can believe that we're no longer in a relationship."

Zoya nodded slowly and approached Donita. "May you be happy with her even if it's over another woman's wounds."

Finished with that, he immediately decided to get out of there and was about to abort himself as the doctor who would operate on Donita. However, due to the imminent time, no doctor was willing to replace him. He finally resigned.
