Then Nathan gulped, trying to calm his heart. "Zara, I totally understand how you feel. But the current situation is so difficult, we have to face reality. Mr. Pasada is the only person who wants me and dad destroyed, Mas."

Zara sighed, trying to calm herself down. "But Mas, we don't know Mr. Pasada's true intentions. What if he comes back to harm our family?"

"I'll make sure that doesn't happen, Zara. We have to trust each other. We can get through this as we have before" Nathan assured his wife.

Zara finally nodded, agreeing with Nathan's plan. "Alright, Mas. I trust you. Let's meet Mr. Pasada and tell him what really happened to his son."

 They walked towards Mr. Pasada's house, which was located on the outskirts of the city. The area is quiet and green trees. The sun sets slowly, giving the sky an orange color.

Upon arriving at Mr. Pasada's house, the two of them took a deep breath, gathering courage. Nathan pressed the bell, and soon a servant opened the door.

"Good night, Mr. Nathan and Miss Zara. Mr. Pasada is already waiting for you in the living room. Please come in" said the servant, with a salute.

Entering this spacious and elegant house, Nathan and Zara stared at each other. They were like newcomers who had first set foot in the luxurious world. 'My job is to convince him, ' Nathan thought as he grabbed Zara's trembling hand slightly.

When they walked into the living room, Mr. Pasada — a middle-aged man with white hair and a shiny suit — smiles greeted them. "Nathan, Zara! How are you doing? Please sit down."

They sit on a soft sofa, trying to feel comfortable. Nathan went straight to the point he wanted to talk about. "Sir, we would like to thank you for being allowed to come to your mansion. However, we want to tell you what your son did."

Mr. Pasada laughed a little. "To be honest, I just want Mike Ikhlas. I know you've been having a lot of trouble lately, Nathan. Mike actually loves Zara so much, but." 

"But what, sir?"

Mr. Pasada looked at Zara and finally replied, "Zara's my rival's son."

Zara clenched her hands together, the woman was so upset at the middle-aged man's reply.

"Originally you know with the cancellation of my marriage and your child, the sign that God still loves me from a man who likes to cheat." Zara smiled faintly at the middle-aged man who was looking at her sharply.

On one hand, Nathan was relieved. But on the other hand, he still had doubts. Meanwhile, Zara can only hold back and try to hide her emotions because briefly Pasada just wants to see her weakness.

"Zara, are you Zara, son?" Diana looked at Zara with tears streaming down her cheeks.

That made Zara and Nathan look at each other, while Pasada looked at his wife intently.

"Servant take Madam to her room!" decreed Pasada.

"No, I just want to see the woman Mike loves so much!" diana immediately avoided the waiter.

"What should we do as, sir?" ask the waiter finally.

Mr. Pasada sighed, looking at the two maids, After which flicked his hands to chase him away.

"My Zara as Mama Mike apologizes for what my son did to you in the heart of your marriage" Diana said softly.

"Enough Diana, because that woman our son is dead!" exclaims Pasada cynics.

Zara smiled faintly, while Nathan was silent. The man knew his wife was not a stupid woman who would be afraid of a figure who had made his family have to be away from Erlan.

"No, there's no way Mike would do that, Zara." Diana's voice was hoarse with sadness considering her son's valour to fight for his love.

Nathan who saw his wife's body tremble, the man immediately clasped Zara's hand.

"Let me explain it, dear," Nathan saw his wife trying to calm her stupefied breath before continuing, "Actually, the incident is not what you thought, Lady Diana. We just learned of Mike's involvement in Zara's mother's death a few months after the incident."

Diana let out a long sigh, trying to hold back her tears. "Please, explain to me, Nathan. My son never meant to hurt anyone, I'm sure of it."

Nathan ducked for a moment, looking for the right words to explain the complicated situation that had involved their families all. "Before, we thought that Mother Zeni had been the victim of kidnapping or other crimes. But after finding the evidence, we realized that Mike was involved and the main suspect" Nathan tried to contain his own emotions. "But then, we found out that Mike was also the one who told his men to rotate my in-laws."

"Is....is there anything I can do to improve this situation?" diana asked, her face full of despair.

Zara looked at Diana with a sad look, but also full of determination, "Even if you are willing to do anything, it will not replace the pain and destruction that has been inflicted in our lives. I never imagined that your son would snatch my mother, and create a world worse than ever."

Nathan felt his wife start crying. The man felt shackled in such difficult circumstances, but he knew that he had to stay strong for the sake of all of them. 

"I've talked to Mike before your son died" Nathan said steadily, "Your son confessed that his actions were wrong and he'll do whatever it takes to bring things back, but unfortunately whatever the son will do will not be able to restore the situation." Nathan rubbed Zara's shaky shoulders.

Diana felt like she was on the verge of collapse, "But what can I do, Nathan? How can we begin the process of being repaired, of reuniting what my son has broken?"

"That's a long process, Lady Diana. And it's not just about Mike," Nathan took a breath.

"Your husband has the heart to keep a child away and will now make the child to kill his own biological family, but unfortunately that will not happen because Elan I have secured." Nathan moved from his seat staring intently at the middle-aged man who was none other than Pasada.

Hearing what Nathan Diana said so shocked, the woman walked over to her husband and a slap landed on Pasada's wrinkled cheek."Because of your selfishness and greed I have to lose a child."

Zara Nathan was so surprised by what such a gentle woman did.

Nathan and Zara end up just walking out of nowhere because they don't want to see the drama of the couple.

Nathan opened the car door for his wife, after Nathan immediately drove his car at medium speed.

"Are we going to be quiet after this, Mom?"

"We'll see the progress, Dad and Papa won't just shut up. If you remember how Mike cheated through Maryam it was because of the son of a sneaky person too," Nathan said.

Zara was silent, she did not want to remember the man back. After forty minutes the car Nathan drove to the Mansion.

The main door opened, Dania looked at the child and her daughter-in-law anxiously." Are you guys okay?"

Zara and Nathan looked at each other, they came in. The eyes of the mother of one child were patterning seeing what was in front of her.

His father was battered and so were his in-laws. Papa Albert's wound is worse.

Zara stared at everything in the living room." Who did it, Dad?"
