8. 2 Choice

Xeron turned around and saw them return safely, without the slightest scratch. He looks really surprised.

"Wow.. A good start" said Xeron, who looked back at them from top to bottom. "You guys are really very lucky."

"Why can we come back here again?", asked Arlon puzzled while looking around.

"That's because you chose the wrong path, but believe me it's the best" Xeron said. "In there what did you find?", he continued, while still observing the two of them, still seeming to be in disbelief with what happened.

"Ga there's nothing. Just an ordinary forest road and suddenly we were already here again" replied Marvin puzzled. It feels like it was being played. "So we're either back in this forest or you're following us?"

"What good is it that I'm following you? You can see for yourself where you are now" replied Xeron ketus. And sure enough, they returned to the forest with 8 streets laid before those who were ready for their choice. It was as if their journey was just going around in circles in the forest.

"Then what does it mean to be lucky?", asked Arlon who was now quite exhausted.

"You're lucky you didn't meet anything and returned to this forest safely. Of the 7 wrong ways, only your choice is the best. The rest of you can fall into the ravine, watered by mountain larvae and yaa. later let you see for yourself lah.", replied Xeron rather annoyed. I hope they make more mistakes than this.

"That's right! Fortunately, you trusted his choice to go to the cave. The feeling of the cave is always true", replied Marvin with an arrogant expression. Arlon could only shake his head.

"Lu must also choose the path number 4 because the fit is in front of the eyes right" said Arlon relaxed. Marvin just laughed proudly without caring about Arlon's words.

"Now, you choose another path. You also must have been impatient to see another surprise hidden from this forest", said Xeron who was excited again. This time they will surely fail.

Arlon went around again looking closer at each road, as if he did not want to lose every second. This time Marvin also took care of the streets, following Arlon even though he did not know what to do. Arlon looks at the watch and unknowingly they've been stuck with Xeron for almost 3 hours. It's worth it that he feels tired. His hand that had been clutched by Xeron still felt hot and sore. His hands are still clearly visible there.

"So which one do you choose?", asked Xeron who was getting impatient. Marvin came straight to Arlon.

"Where's Ar? There is no enlightenment?", asked Marvin whose face turned into panic.

"Not yet, but remember ga said the treefather what?" said Arlon while trying to recall the instructions given. Marvin shook his head, he really didn't remember. "Everything remember?", Arlon said in disbelief.

"Religious. Why what?", asked Marvin who tried his hardest to remember. It's not a good reminder.

"We are asked to go west, and follow the herd of ants. And if the cave pays attention, it's true that we should head west" Arlon said as he took his silver compass out of his pants pocket. The compass needle is red, moving irregularly rotating. He immediately looked to the west and turned to the left, in accordance with what the compass showed.

His eyes were on the 2nd street. Arlon went straight to the street and searched for ants around the entrance, but he found nothing.

"Let's have your time up" said Xeron who now stands quietly in the middle of the forest while wagging his tail to and fro, waiting for their answer.

"Time is up" said Xeron who is now in front of the two of them. "Pick now or I'll choose a path that's definitely wrong." His face showed a sly expression with the tail already in front of Arlon and Marvin's face, ready to attack. They both had to take a step back so as not to get hit by those thorns.

"Ar?", said Marvin who hopes his best friend will give the right answer. But Arlon did not budge and still stared at the compass and the ground in turn, hoping that at least an ant would pass by.

Xeron's tail was already in front of Arlon's eyes, making his little thorns look very clear. Its silver color makes the thorns look beautiful.

"Ar!", call Marvin. Arlon soon awakens from his daydream and signals that he is unsure of his choice. Marvin replied to his gesture with a nod. Marvin doesn't know what else to do and it's better to follow wherever his best friend goes.

"2. Number 2", said Arlon doubtful. He was very unsure of his choice.

"Okay, please come in" said Xeron as he stood firmly staring at the route they were about to enter.

Arlon entered followed by Marvin behind him. Arlon was still staring at the ground, looking for an invisible ant. That's where he really felt wrong choosing the path.

"Either why the cave believes this is not the right way. So, get ready, said Arlon slowly followed by a small nod Marvin.

Set him at the turn of the great road. It still looks normal and fine. They kept going through the woods. The road is still the same as the first choice of road. So far, nothing strange has happened.

"Let's rest for a minute! Very tired of the cave" said Arlon who chose to sit under one of the shady trees. He took out a snack from his bag and offered it to Marvin.

"Udah, you're all. The cave is full" said Marvin refused subtly. He is also sitting next to her. The feeding napsu was gone for a moment. Now he took out the mineral water he had brought.

"Where can we get out of here?", asked Arlon as he continued to chew. He looks desperate. Especially considering the choice there is one more.

"That's Ar! It's just the two of us here. Who else can we ask" said Marvin as he occasionally sipped water in his hand. "Especially Xeron who always love us the right time we want to choose again, make us panic and as if the opportunity given is just a formality. We can not focus!", continued Marvin with annoyance.

"Yes too", replied Arlon who now also downed his drink. The two of them were silent for a moment, thinking about the fate of those who would either survive or even become part of this silent forest.

"Eh! The cave had an idea!", Arlon jolted suddenly, leaving Marvin completely shocked.

"What?", asked Marvin. He believes his best friend has found a brilliant idea, visible from his sparkling eyes.

However, Arlon had not yet answered him, suddenly the ground under his feet shook slowly. Over time there was a loud bang, like someone fell into the forest, making the ground shake even more violently.
