13. Last Chance

"fr.. Ar.", there's a faint voice of a man out there. Not only the sound, but his body was also shaken. "Ar, wake up Ar!", he said again. This time, he sounded more panicked.

Arlon was too tired to open his eyes. He wanted to close his eyes for a few hours. However, a ray of sunlight shone on his face, forcing himself to wake up immediately.

"andr! Comeup! Don't mess around dong!", said the voice at the end of there that again disturbed him. "Ar.", said the voice that turned out to be Marvin. Now his voice is slower. Arlon opened his eyes slowly, the light came in and forced him to adapt quickly.

"Vin.", said Arlon. Her body is in pain now. Moreover, his spine felt very stiff. Marvin helped her get up and put her in a sitting position. It took a while for Arlon to sit in the perfect position.

"Oh my goodness, you've passed" said Marvin relieved as he shook Arlon's body and hugged her tightly.

"Vin, slowly dong, sick.", said Arlon Iirih. He grimaced in pain while holding his waist.

"Hehe's sorry sorry".", replied Marvin with a shy smile. He took off his arms and checked Arlon's body condition from head to toe, which turned out to be fine. "Kok Aman Ar, nothing broken. Yes, even though it is a bit bruised the most", he continued, grimacing in horror at the back and waist of Arlon who was bruised quite badly. He re-covered Arlon's shirt that was a little wet from sweat. The air feels hotter now.

"Lu gapapa?", asked Arlon. Now he can support his body little by little.

"Father, just the hand was a bit sick, it turned out to be a wooden skewer.", replied Marvin casually. Arlon looked at Marvin's left arm that had been pierced with wood. It turned out that the wound was quite large and somewhat gaping.

"That's.. Bersihin used to wound.", said Arlon while pointing towards the blood that little by little still dripped on his arm. Marvin immediately cleaned his wound with the water left in his drinking bottle. He looked in pain but kept trying.

"How?", asked Xeron who suddenly appeared behind them. His large, well-built body shut off some of the sunlight that shone on them. Arlon and Marvin are shocked by his sudden arrival. "What did you guys find out?", continued Xeron curiously. His face looked satisfied after knowing two humans in front of him were battered.

"We met Hansel" Arlon said firmly. He wanted to see Xeron's expression when he heard this. And the guess is right. Xeron was silent. The smile and laughter that had been emanated, now faded away instantly. His gaze was empty for a split second.

"Oh.. Meteor.", said Xeron who did not want to discuss Hansel at all. He turned his face and turned his back to the two of them.

"We know all the stories. It's not your fault" said Marvin bravely.

"We're sure you wouldn't be like this if those humans hadn't destroyed your place. But that doesn't mean you should hate everyone" Arlon said. Hearing that, Xeron was annoyed and immediately looked at them again.

"Know what you guys are! You don't know anything!", snapped Xeron. His voice was blaring all over the forest. So strong and echoing. Then he hit the tree closest to him very hard. The tree trembled and many leaves fell. Fortunately, the tree did not fall.

"Oh, you're wrong to say it.", whispered Marvin who was frightened to see Xeron.

"What first discussed Hansel right you, Ar.", said Marvin did not want himself to be blamed alone.

"But you why wear smart clothes tell him what he should do?", defended Arlon slowly. They have always been like that for a long time, blaming each other but never vengeance.

"Already! Don't have much to say!", snapped Xeron who was trying to hold back his emotions. "You choose the third path!"

Arlon immediately forced himself to be able to stand, with the help of Marvin of course, although his back still feels very painful. They must use the time they have left. Arlon, followed by Marvin behind him, rushed to the 1st and 3rd streets. Because those two roads are at the very west.

"Vin, you observe road number 3. If you see 1 ant, call the cave!", cried Arlon. Marvin nodded in excitement and rushed straight to the number 3 street.

Honey, the expected ants don't show up. Arlon just remembered Hansel's remark, that he had to fish first for the ant to come out. He immediately took out the chocolate he was carrying in his backpack and cut it into small pieces. Arlon put it on street corner number 1 and 3. But he thought, it would be better if he put the chocolate in every way left. Because their choice could be wrong.

Xeron just kept silent while watching Arlon's behavior which was clearly different compared to other humans he met. So persistent and full of calculations. They waited for a while. Nothing has happened yet.

"Where's Ar? The cave has not found any signs of ants there" said Marvin who approached Arlon. He had noticed and confirmed many times that not a single ant had come. So did Arlon. He was still standing in front of road number 1 and the piece of chocolate was still intact there.

"Wait a little while longer" said Arlon who is still hopeful how right.

"So which way do you choose?", asked Xeron who was now standing right behind Marvin. This time his fangs were clearly visible, adorned with disgusting drool dripping. He always managed to make Marvin shudder in fear.

"We ask for a moment more" said Arlon who did not turn his eyes at all from the road number 1 in front of him.

"No! You have to choose now!", said Xeron annoyed. Looks like Xeron doesn't want them to make it and get out of here.

"Ar!", cried Marvin with vigor. "here! Hurry here!", call him again. Arlon looked for where Marvin was and it turned out he was across the street, in front of road number 8. Seriously staring at the streets, he did not know when Marvin left.

"Why?", asked Arlon while standing up. Seeing Marvin's face, he became convinced that they would survive. He immediately ran up to Marvin, followed by Xeron behind them with his heavy steps.

Marvin pointed down, close to the bushes where the ants carried the pieces of chocolate enthusiastically. Not a little, but a large group of ants continue to come and go.

"We chose road number 8" Arlon said with great confidence and confidence.
