"Shanum is the housekeeper in this house. Only this afternoon he came from the village."
"Where is he now?" ask Adnan.
"Maybe I'm changing clothes in my room. It was watered with water the same as Hanan."
"What was he wrong until Hanan was that angry?"
"Aunti said, Shanum was not wrong. Instead he means well by giving advice to Hanan. Hanan is easily blooded."
"I became curious as to what kind of girl Shanum was," Inner Hanan.
"He's actually nice, Mas, just a little firm."
"Is he still a child?"
"If Shanum was still a kid where maybe he was looking for a job. If you look at his face it looks like he's only about eighteen years old."
"But I'm happy. Thanks to him my room is clean and tidy." Adnan chuckles.
Compared to his two older brothers, Adnan was indeed the closest to bi Sumi. He was also the most according to the words or advice of the woman who had been his caretaker when he was little.
Not long after, the sound of a car roar from the direction of the home page. Apparently the master and the madam had just returned from out of town.
"Auntie to the kitchen used to make drinks for the ladies and gentlemen."
Bi Ami who has been working at home for more than 25 years, of course, has memorized out of his head what are the things that are liked or not liked by both employers, including drinks. Mr. Ardian or his wife Lady Elina does not like drinks that are too hot or cold. When presented at the dining table should be warm lukewarm.
"Just come home, Dad, Mom," Adnan said.
"We were supposed to be home this afternoon, but we still had a meeting back a few hours."
"Please have a drink, Mr. Madam," said bi Sumi while putting two cups of warm tea on the table along with the mistress' favorite snack of banana chips.
Madam Elina grabbed one of the cups then took a sip.
"Why do I feel like this house is different than usual? This house looks cleaner and tidier, did Auntie clean it?"
"Oh yes, Madam. The housekeeper who works at this house came this afternoon. He's the one who cleaned this living room."
Lady Elina mangosteen.
"I like the work. Where is he now?"
"I'll call you soon."
Bi Sumi moved from the living room and then towards Shanum's room which was right on the side of her room.
"Mr and madam want to see you" he said.
"Good, Bi."
The two then walked to the living room.
"What's your name?" ask the lady, Elina.
"My name is Shanum, Madam."
"Have you had any previous work experience?" Mr. Ardian chimed in.
"No, Mister. This house is my first place to work."
"Where do you know if this house is in need of a housekeeper?"
"From Mr. Wira."
"Yes, I hear that person is often looking for domestic helpers, babysitters, or elderly nurses."
Miss Elina circulated her gaze in the room.
"Your work is pretty good. Oh yeah, bi Sumi has told you what your duties are in this house 'no?"
"Yes, Madam."
"The reward you will receive every month is three million clean rupiah."
"Ti-ti-three million, ma'am?"
"Yes. Wh why? What salary offer from me is less great?"
"Ah, no, Mistress. God willing enough."
"Evening is ready, Bi?" ask Mr. Ardian.
"Here you go, sir."
"Where are your brothers?" ask Miss Elina to Adnan.
"Maybe you're asleep."
"From that moment they did not come out of the room. Maybe they're at home in their new room."
"New room?"
"The room just cleared I mean."
"Ehm .. Hanum," call Mr. Ardian.
"Shanum, sir," he said.
"Tomorrow morning clean the filing cabinet in my study. Remember, don't throw anything away" the master said.
"Good, Sir."
"One more time, clean the shed on the side of the garage. I forgot the last time the barn was cleaned."
"Good, Sir."
"You can continue your work."
Shanum moved out of the dining room and into the kitchen. He then cleaned the furniture of the former home cooking bi Sumi and the former eating the three brothers.
"Which village is Shanum from?"
Shanum gasped in shock as Adnan suddenly stood in the doorway.
"Ehm .. anu .. Sukamakmur village, Mas."
"The village became one of the places for the implementation of real work lectures for students on my campus."
"That's it."
"Shanum's sister has a brother?"
"Don't call me mbak, it looks like it's older Mas Hanan."
"That's my second brother, my name is Adnan."
"Sorry, Mas. I haven't memorized it yet. Your names are similar."
"Grandmother gave us a name. Names can be similar, but not to our faces. People say that between the three of us I'm the one who looks the most like a Korean artist."
"The hell."
"You know that famous BST band? People say I look like one of them."
"I'm sorry, I don't know."
"Yes if you don't know. You're young, why don't you go to college?"
Shanum smiled bitterly.
"Don't go to college, I don't have a place to live."
"Well, where have you been all this time?"
Shanum breathed.
"Both of my parents died when I was very young. After them there was no grandfather who took care of me until finally he died not long ago. I was evicted by my uncle and aunt who wanted to sell the late father's house that they would use to increase their business capital" he said.
"What a cruelty to your uncle and aunt. They should have invited you to stay together, not kicked you out" Adnan said.
Shanum commented a thin smile.
"God willing I am sincere. Oh yes, Mas Hanan and you are brothers, but why are your natures so different?"
"Mas Hanan is actually good, just irritable."
"Mas Adnan needs something?"
"Ah, no. I just want a cold drink." Adnan opened the refrigerator door and took out a can of soda from inside.
"Yes, I'm out first."
"Mas Adnan where are the nights going?"
"It's customary, young man."
"Are you and the lady not forbidding?"
"Where did they ever forbid. We are free to do anything as long as it does not kill or make pregnant people's children" Adnan said before he left the kitchen.
"Astaghfirullahaldzim, how to educate this model?" Shanum stroked the chest.
