Sacred Love Shanum

Sacred Love Shanum
Chapters 10

"Good day, how can I help you?" ask the nurse who happened to be in the room.

"I'd like to visit a patient named Shanum."

The sound of the holy verse of the Quran suddenly stopped.

"Mas Adnan?"

Shanum was stunned when he found Adnan in his treatment room.

"So that was your voice?" ask Adnan.

"I-i-iya, Mom. There's a Qur'an on this table, so I read it."

"Your voice is so sweet" praised Adnan.

Shanum only responded with a faint smile.

"How are you doing?"

"Thank God, it's been better, but the doctor suggested that I be treated until tomorrow."

"I brought you lunch."

Adnan put a box on the table.

"Mas Adnan doesn't have to bother."

"Not bothered. I also happen to not have lunch. You like pizza, don't you?"

"What pizza is it, Mas?"

"God. So you've never had pizza?"

"No, Mas. No one is selling."

"Pizza is a food made from flour dough sprinkled with sossis and cheese and then baked and sausage on it" explained Adnan.

"Does it taste good, Mom?"

"If you're curious, try it." Adnan handed Shanum the pizza box. The girl then took a slice of pizza from the box and took a small piece.

"It feels strange gini really Mas," his protest.

"How weird? I think it's delicious" Adnan said with a mouthful of food.

"I'm sorry, I can't eat this, in the village I used to only eat yams and cassava. Not food that tastes so weird."

"Maybe your tongue is not used yet" said Adnan.

"Just make Adnan's pizza."

"It's so big, I won't be able to spend it alone."

"Yes, share it with other patients."

"Good idea."

Adnan took a few pieces of tissue and put a few pieces of pizza and then distributed them to patients in the treatment room.

"Thank you, Num. You've taught me what it is to share" Adnan said.

"If we have money or excess food, it would be nice if we share it with others" Shanum said.

"Tonight I'll keep you here."

"No need, Mom. I'm okay with being alone."

"What if you need something? Your leg's hurting, isn't it?"

"No need to worry, I can ask the doctor or nurse for help. Besides, ladies and gentlemen won't let you stay at this clinic all night."

"They never cared what their three children did" Hanan said.

"Mas Hanan just go home, don't make trouble with the ladies and gentlemen."

"Well, if you don't want to be accompanied. If the doctor lets you go home, let me know. I'll pick you up."

"Thank you, Mas Hanan has been so kind to me" Shanum said.

"Not a problem."

"Yes, I'm home first."

Hanan left the clinic.

In the afternoon.

"Do you have no intention of visiting Shanum? If Dad didn't tell him to clean the barn, he wouldn't have been bitten by a snake" Adnan said during their dinner.

"Why do you care so much about that maid? Don't you like it." Rayhan.

"Not so, he has no relatives or relatives in this city. I just feel sorry for him. Tonight she's in the clinic alone with no one to accompany."

"Not to overdo it. I'm sure tomorrow morning he will be allowed to go home" said Mr Adrian.

"If Rayhan was not home, his life could not be helped. I'm gonna have a big problem."

Suddenly, Mr. Adrian put down his spoon.

"What happened to that girl?" ask Madame Arimbi who just appeared from inside her room.

"Shanum was bitten by a poisonous snake while cleaning the warehouse" Adnan explained.

"The real misfortune. So, how is it now?"

"Last afternoon I went to see him, things were better."

"Sumi, tonight you accompany the girl at the clinic" Ms. Arimbi said.

"What about the big lady?"

"What is how? Did you forget, I have three grandchildren. They can definitely replace your duties for a while."

"Okay, big lady."

"Let's go now before the night."

"I'll excuse you, Assalamu'alaikum."

"Wa'aalaikumsalam." Only Adnan answered his greetings.

Arriving at the clinic.

Shanum was surprised when he found that bi Sumi was suddenly in his treatment room.

"Bi Sumi? Why is Aunt here? What if the big madam gets angry?"

The middle-aged woman flashed a smile.

"The big lady won't be angry. It was precisely he who told aunt to accompany you at the clinic tonight."

"Really?"

"Make what auntie lies. Outside the big lady looks haughty, but her heart is good" said bi Sumi.

"Actually lady Arimbi is whose mother, Bi? Is his mother Mr Adrian or Mrs Elina?"

"Mrs Arimbi is Elina's real mother. The house we're in actually belongs to Elina's mistress."

"So that house doesn't belong to Mr Adrian?"

Bi Sumi threw out a breath.

"Lord Adrian was a nobody. Aunty didn't understand why Miss Elina was so crazy about him. He even dared to oppose the matchmaking that his late father wanted until he finally died of heart disease" he explained.

"Looks like Auntie knows a lot about this house."

"How can't it? Aunty worked in that house ever since aunt was your age and that's when Miss Elina was so little. So aunt knows all the ins and outs of that family."

"It's just worth it."

"But I salute you and your lady. Despite decades of marriage, their relationship is still romantic" Shanum said.

"It seems romantic, but it is not uncommon for them to argue and even fight. Aunt herself was an eyewitness."

"What made them fight?"

Their chatter was halted when the nurse entered the room.

"Excuse me, I'd like to drop off dinner and medicine for Shanum's mother" he said.

"Good, Sus."

After placing the tray on the table, the nurse left the room.

Meanwhile, in Shanum's hometown.

In a house there was a conversation between a man and a woman.

"I see our workshop is quite crowded, but why our income every day decreases," said the woman.

"Most who come to our workshop just patch the tires or change their vehicle oil. You know 'no? The pay is not much" explained the man.

"You don't try to lie to me, Mom. You're earning our workshop money?"

"What do you mean, you're talking like that?"

"What money do you use to have fun with other women?"

"Here!" watch mouth!" sentak Faisal's.

"Don't let the grapevine I've been hearing be true. You're playing with the new widow in the village next door."

"Plac!" A pretty loud slap had just landed on Dini's cheek.

"Slap again! If it makes you satisfied!" exciting Dini.

Yes, the man and woman who were arguing was none other than Faisal, Shanum's uncle and his wife, Dini. Since seizing the house owned by Shanum's late father and expelling him, the husband and wife's life is far from peaceful. They often fight even just because of a small problem. Not only that, Faisal was now light-handed and irritable, especially when Dini accused him of having an affair with another woman.

"Is this because I killed the orphan?" lirih Dini's.
