Chapter 49's

"Mas Rayhan's home or not, Bi?" ask Adnan on bi Sumi who is ironing clothes.

"Already, Mas. Shanum went straight to the hospital ."

"Loh, it's almost afternoon. Time hasn't come home yet."

"If the operation is over, you can't go straight home."

"What, Mbok? Operation?"

"Yes, Mas. Rayhan called earlier, he said Shanum's leg had to be operated on because there was a broken bone."

"Geez!"

"Where is Adnan going?" ask bi Sumi when she finds Adnan moving out of the room.

"I'm going to the hospital."

"Mbok eat first. Auntie's cooking it."

"Later on, Mbok. I'll go first" said Adnan. He also went to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital.

"What shanum, Mas?" tanyakanya. 

"Still inside. The operation's not over."

"May he be okay."

"You could say I'm late. He should have been brought here since his leg was injured."

"Of course, we pray that he is okay" said Adnan.

A few moments later the door of the room opened. A doctor came out of the action room.

"How's Shanum doing, Doctor?" ask Adnan.

"Alhamdulillah, the operation went well. But for a while the patient must use a walking aid," explained the doctor.

"Can we see Shanum now, Doc?" ask Adnan again.

"Please."

The two brothers entered the room.

"The doctor said your foot surgery went well" Rayhan said.

"Alhamdulillah. Ehm .. is Miss Elina okay if I'm treated here?" ask Shanum.

"That will be my business" Rayhan said.

Suddenly an unpleasant smell was emitted in the AC room. 

"You're going to waste gas, Nan?" 

"About!"

"If not who are you?"

"Ehm .. sorry, Mas. Release," said Shanum.

"Oh yes, he said that after the operation you can not eat or drink anything if you have not disposed of the wind."

"It's okay."

A few moments later came a distinctive voice from inside Shanum's stomach."

"You hungry, huh? Let me buy you some food in the cafeteria" said Adnan.

"Eh, no. Patients who are treated here should only eat foods called hospitals."

"Oh, so yeah."

Not long after the door of the room opened. Apparently a nurse.

"Good afternoon, Sister Naura," said Adnan.

"Do you know my name?"

"Know dong. I can know people's names without having to know them."

"Allah. Just tell me you read the name pin on the shoulder of this sister's uniform."

Adnan scratched his nape which did not feel itchy at all.

"It's time for lunch and medicine" Naura said as she placed a box of food and a glass of water on the table.

"Thank you, Sister" Shanum said.

"I'll excuse you."

The nurse left the room.

"I bribe ya," said Adnan.

"Ah, no need. I can eat by myself."

"Krucuk ... krucuk ..." Turn of the voice of Adnan's stomach.

"You hungry too?"

"I came home from college straight here, haven't had lunch yet."

"Yes, find a meal first."

"Mas Rayhan isn't hungry either?"

"Later eat it in exchange."

"Yes, I went to the cafeteria first" said Adnan. He also left the room.

"Ehm .. thank you, Mas," Shanum said a little awkwardly. This was his first time in a room with a man.

"Thank you for what?"

"Mas Rayhan picked me up and took me to this hospital."

Rayhan commented a thin smile 

"It's okay. I should be the one to thank. I owe you my life" he said.
