Chapter 31

"So, Amira is my daughter?" ask Mr. Ferry who is currently enjoying his lunch with Bu Diah.

Hearing what Mr. Ferry said did not make Bu Diah surprised in the slightest. She had obviously been preparing for this since the first time her daughter found a photo of herself with Mr. Ferry, it's just that he didn't expect that the time would be this fast Ms. Diah thought that it might happen in a few days or a while, not now.

Mr. Ferry was surprised by the attitude of Bu Diah who seemed ordinary to face the question he had just thrown. He knew that the woman before him was an extraordinary woman who had above average calmness. But Mr. Ferry did not expect that Ms. Diah would really be that calm after she said a reality that had been trying to hide from her by Ms. Diah.

"Aren't you surprised by what I asked you just now?" ask Mr. Ferry who is trying to find out what is in the heart of his interlocutor at this time.

"Why should I be surprised by this? Won't you know sooner or later about it?" said Bu Diah so casually while enjoying the dishes in front of her as if what was asked by her ex-husband was something ordinary.

Mr. Ferry is completely inexhaustible with Bu Diah's current attitude. The woman was completely calm and unshakable at all with whatever she said. Though Mr. Ferry thought if Bu Diah should be a little surprised or worried if he would take custody of his daughter.

"Are you really not surprised by what I'm asking you?" asked Mr. Ferry while looking at Bu Diah in disbelief.

"Why should I be surprised by this? When Amira finds a photo of the memories first, then at the same time I know that this is going to happen and I have to be ready for whatever will happen later."

"You still have photos of us?"

"Yes, yeah, just to remind me that I have to work hard to support my daughter and prove to you that I can still stand on my own feet that I don't need you anymore in my life and also prepare if I can when Amira asks who her father is and wants to see a picture of her father."

"So you've never told him that I'm still around? What did you say to him?"

Mr. Ferry did deliberately ask like that to Bu Diah to find out about it directly from the lips of his ex-wife After all he felt unsure of what his men said and want to make sure of it yourself.

"I told her that her father had died while she was still in the womb!"

"Why do you want to know that? Don't you know that I'm still alive?"

Ms. Diah smiled when she heard what her ex-husband said. For her, what her ex-husband said was just a joke that was perfectly natural if she laughed like now.

"Can't you respect me as his father? At the minimum you tell me about the pregnancy and I will definitely be in charge of Amira!" said Mr. Ferry who strongly objected to what was done by Bu Diah because he thought what was done by his ex-wife was the same as not appreciating it at all.

"For me, when you make that mistake then at the same time I have considered you dead and no longer need I remember you at all I don't even need to say about your existence to Amira!"

"You can't deny that I have a father, and sooner or later he's going to find me and tell me the truth!"

"You're really outrageous, Diah!"

Ms. Diah smiled when she heard her ex-husband slightly raised his voice. She was really satisfied with the mimicry of her ex-husband because how the ex-husband who always felt powerful in the end could not do anything for what was done by the mother Diah.

"You don't have to raise your voice like that because I just told Amira the truth and I'm pretty sure she's a very smart girl that she would have been able to judge what's right and what's right which is bad and he must have known how to behave!" said Ms. Diah who was really satisfied because it made her ex-husband feel not considered at all by him.

"Can't you say a little good about me to him?"

"Amira is not a child anymore so I don't have to hide what happened in the past and she also has the right to know about what happened in the past!"

Mr. Ferry was silent about what his ex-wife said because he did not know what to say about it. On the one hand he wanted to protest what his ex-wife had done, but on the other hand he also realized that if he continued to protest it then the more cornered was himself, not Miss Diah.

"You know that Amira is currently attending the school that I have and she has even seen me twice!" said Mr. Ferry, hoping to get a slightly exaggerated response from his ex-wife.

Instead of being angry and shocked by what her ex-husband said, Ms. Diah gave a very sweet smile and seemed not to be bothered at all with what her ex-husband said.

"Good dong if you have met and good also if he went to school so that at least he gets waivers in school or it could be that you free his school fees as a form of your responsibility as a father!"

"Aren't you angry and not surprised by what I just said?"

"Why should I be surprised by this? I told you that I had prepared everything for what would happen when Amira found the photo."

"You didn't ask how Amira responded when she met me?"

"I don't need to ask about it because I quite understand how my daughter and I also quite know that she can't possibly greet you with the greeting she should have told you!"

Mr. Ferry was really upset by what his ex-wife said because everything was completely beyond her expectations. Previously he hoped that the ex-wife would be surprised by what he said and even he also hoped that Bu Diah would be scared because she was worried that she would ask for Amira's affinity to sue him to court. But it seems that he got the opposite and he really did not prepare for it when all this time he knew if his ex-wife was someone who was very calm.

"If you expect me to overdo it then it is only in my mind because I will never do it and I also do not need to be afraid of something that needs to happen to remember I've educated my son so well and he even told me how to behave to a traitor!" said Bu Diah with great emphasis while staring intently at her ex-husband.

"I'll file child custody with the court even if it's been over 17 years and I'll make sure that custody falls into my hands!"

"Please do that, but I need to remind you that you'll never make it!"
