Chapter 29

"He who?" gabriella asked when Alex had just arrived home.

"What do you mean? I really don't understand the question that you just fought against me!"

"I ask you, who is he?"

"Him? Who do you mean it is? If you ask a little more clearly so I can easily answer!"

"The girl you said was your office apprentice secretary! The girl that I met a few days ago in your office with slightly swollen lips!"

"I've told you that she is Amira, the apprentice student who came from the school that Papa had and the plan was already me and Papa had planned for a long time even before I became the principal of that school!"

"Then why are his lips so swollen? What have you done to make her lips like that?"

Alex was a little surprised by what Gabriella said. He really never thought if his wife would ask about it especially the incident had happened a few days ago. In her mind if Gabriella suspects that she and Amira are in a relationship then she will ask from a few days ago not at this time.

"It seems that Amira was already disappointed about it and I think that you believed what she said!" alex said he was trying to answer what his wife was asking calmly so as not to make her suspicious of his relationship with Amira.

"You think I believe what he said? If indeed he did that before he went into the office then it should have disappeared and could not have been there until such an afternoon!"

"You should know that the apprentice comes to the office after school and I don't know what he does before he comes to the office and after he comes home from school because what matters to me is he came to the office on time and he worked well!"

Gabriella was speechless by what Alex had told her just now. On one hand she wanted to believe what her husband said, but on the other hand he does not believe much in what the husband says because after all he knows if the office is a place commonly used by people to have other women who considered much better than his legal wife.

"You should make a rule that your secretary and other employees should not enter the office under such circumstances!" said Gabriella who felt if she had to warn him and he should not let such a thing happen again especially if it could make him suspicious.

"What right do I have to regulate about it? You have to remember that what they do outside the office is their own business and I have no right to manage their lives because what matters to us is how they work together in the office and we are only obligated to give them rights as our employees!"

"Yes we can treat that rule and they inevitably have to follow it! After all, the rules were made so that there would be no misunderstanding like this!"

"You don't realize that it could make their performance decline and that in the end it will only make our company lose money!"

Alex smiled at what Gabriella said, he really did not understand what was in his wife's mind so he could be suspicious of her and Amira. He admitted that he was in a relationship with Amira, but Alex never thought if Gabriella would suspect about it because all this time he was always able to play beautiful so that his wife did not know about what he was doing behind the back with his employees.

Alex wanted to keep getting what his wife said, but he realized that it would only end in futility because there was not a solution they got but a longer debate that would eventually become something very unpleasant.

"Are you listening to what I'm saying or not?" gabriella asked as she felt that what she said did not get any response from Alex at all.

"Why keep talking about it? Wouldn't it be that we constantly talked about it and it would only make us quarrel and ultimately affect the children who are currently in his room?"

"They won't know what we're talking about if you always answer what I'm asking and you agree with what I'm asking you!"

Alex took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. She was completely inexhaustible with what was inside Gabriella's mind, how could that one woman be so suspicious of her relationship with Amira that she had never been suspicious of anything she did with her other employees. Alex felt that his relationship with the other employees was much bolder than what he is currently doing with Amira.

"I've said yes that I can't make such absurd rules and I can't interfere too much in the personal lives of the employees because they have privacy anyway which we must respect!" alex said back to explain his objection to the rules requested by Gabriella.

"Yes, you think if they come to the office in such circumstances, then they meet with clients, what will they say? Isn't it just going to make us lose money because we lost a client who was very important to us?"

Alex smiled back at what Gabriella said because he thought it was something that made no sense at all. What was said by his wife was something that was very far-fetched and so far there was never a single client who questioned the appearance of their employees.

"You're too much at home with you watching too many dramas on television that makes your thinking this way! It would be so much better if you faced the clients so that you could understand how they think and you are not too overthinking our employees!"

"I'm overthinking? I'm not overthinking, I'm just expressing what's on my mind and I'm thinking about being one of your clients and meeting your employees who look like that!"

"That's it, I'm really tired and I want to rest!"
