Replacement Ribs
42. Back Home

No matter how hard it is, in the end the breakup still happens. Kirana has to leave her hometown. Back to her husband's house as a real home now.

After spending nearly ten hours on the journey, they arrived at the Capital.

"We went to Mama's house first, yeah"

Kirana nodded. Since Tristan took a different direction from her home, Kirana had thought that they would stop at her mother-in-law's house.

They arrived at a two-story house that became a historic venue for their marriage. A magnificent and large house that looks lonely.

Kirana pressed the bell slowly. Moments later, the two-meter-high door opened.

"Sin'ana?" Madam Ratih seemed to be in disbelief when she saw Kirana standing in front of the door. Even the woman fixed her glasses.

Merka deliberately gave a surprise to Mentari and his oma. So Tristan asked Kirana to redress their arrival.

"You guys really, huh?!"welcome Mrs Ratih when she sees Tristan carrying a suitcase.

Kirana smiled at the look on her mother-in-law's face, who was shocked.

"How are you, Ma?" Kirana replied to her mother-in-law's hand.

"Alhamdulillah. You and your granddaughter are healthy, right?"

Kirana smiled nodding as her mother-in-law rubbed her stomach.

They go inside the house. The mentor who was seen just finished bathing screeched at the arrival of Kirana and also her papa.

"Mother!" the little girl scoured towards Kirana.

"Instant, Mother's stomach has her baby sister .Here's Papa's carrier!" Tristan stretched out both hands as Mentari asked to be carried by Kirana.

As if understanding Mentari no longer ask to be carried. He rubbed Kirana's distended stomach in curiosity. It even asked Kirana to sit down immediately so that she could hug kissing her sister-to-be who was still in the stomach.

Even plain questions like children are thrown from the mouth of Mentari. Until the three adults had difficulty answering and occasionally chuckled by his babbling.

"Mother's sister's a girl, huh? If the guy gets naughty, it's like Denis." he said.

Kirana also chuckles when Mentari mentions one of the friends who used to love to bully her.

"If tomorrow is her brother's boy, Sister Mentari must teach her sister to be a good child" said Kirana.

After chatting for a while, Madam Ratih asked Kirana to rest in one of the rooms. The rooms were once prepared for Tristan and Kirana.

But it seems like Kirana can't really rest because Mentari just keeps following her. His longing was not treated after 2 months apart. And Kirana did not mind at all when Mentari forced her to come into her room.

While Tristan deliberately detained his mother in the middle room. Since entering but, he seemed to be ignored by his mother. His attitude was still as cold as when he had last met.

"Follow Mama up!" tell the mama.

Tristan then went to follow the steps of his mother to the second floor and entered a room that used to be used for work space by his late father

The cold snap ambushed even though the space cooler wasn't turned on. Tristan threw himself in the chair in front of the table.

While Bu Ratih remained standing staring intensely at Tristan.

"What are you planning?" Mrs Ratih pointed at her son with a question that made Tristan frown.

"I mean Mama?".

"You deliberately reconciled with Kirana and brought her here to take Mama's heart, didn't you?"

"Ma, Kirana's my wife. Of course I'll bring him to live together" he said later.

A faint smile rose on the middle-aged woman's lips. "You think Mama doesn't know that Kirana is planning to sue you for divorce? What are you doing until he's as soon as the gospel comes back down?"

"For what? For you to hurt again? Let him in here. Have fun with women not knowing themselves!"

Tristan gave a rough sigh. "If Mama hates Silvia so much, why keep her? Didn't Mama threaten to fire her?"

"It's not that easy. Your heart that is like a helper angel for him will certainly not let him suffer for not having a job. And his life will depend entirely on you."

Tristan moved from his seat. "I will accept even the most severe consequences if that happens" he concluded.

Tristan swung a step out of the room. Leaving her mother in her place.

He entered the room that Kirana was wearing. His wife was seen chatting with her daughter.

As if nothing had happened, Tristan carved a smile on his face.

"We're going home now, huh?"bring him.

"Say we want to stay here?" sahut Kirana wonder.

Despite the question mark, Kirana shuffled out of bed as Tristan dragged their luggage. He took Mentari out of the room following Tristan's steps.

"Mas, we're not saying goodbye to Mama?" kirana asked as she saw Tristan pull the suitcase without caring about anyone.

"I've been. You are the same Mentari. Mama's in Papa's study."

Strange things are again shown by Tristan. Kirana doesn't want to ask much. At least Kirana knows, Tristan does not like to be harassed for certain problems. Moreover, he smelled the scent of a feud between Tristan and his mother.

Kiran took Mentari up to the second floor. In the room that Tristan pointed to, she found her mother-in-law pensive. Kirana is even reluctant to just say hello.

"You want to go home?" ask the woman sitting in the chair with a flat face.

"Yes, Ma. Tristan took us home. Sorry, we're not staying here tonight." Kirana regretted. She understood that her mother-in-law was very lonely. Occupying such a big house only accompanied by Bi Elis and Pak Cip.

"Mama wants to talk to you. A moment."

Kirana also nodded. "Okay, Ma" he answered. Then ask Mentari to meet Tristan first.

The silence happened again. Kirana sat in the chair opposite her mother-in-law. His heart riled up waiting for his mother-in-law to speak. But the woman remained silent. A rough gust sounded.

"Kirana, Mama is very happy if you finally change your decision and choose to remain a daughter-in-law. Mamma. Your therapist wants to know why you changed your mind. What did Tristan promise you?" That question kept Kirana quiet for a while.

"I don't want my granddaughter to grow up in a family that's not whole. Tristan also never promised anything. I decided to make peace with Mas Tristan for the sake of our son."

"That's it?"

Kirana shakes. "Mas Tristan has changed a lot."

"And you've really fallen for her?" That question made Kirana blush.

Madam Ratih smiled too. "It turns out that you're a bucin, too" her god made Kirana blush.

"Kirana, even though Tristan is Mama's son, but if he comes back to hurt you don't hesitate to tell Mama. Mama's gonna put a body up for you."

Kirana felt moved by her mother-in-law's words even more affection for her than affection for her own child. He also could not shake his admiration for the woman, his attitude was very gentle, but there were times when his decisiveness was able to make anyone feel disinclined.

Kirana says her mother-in-law's suit lets her out of the room. The figure of Tristan and Mentari was no longer found in the house. The two of them had already gotten into the car and were waiting for Kirana.

Along the way, the two did not open their mouths. Busy with their own minds. The atmosphere was increasingly quiet because Mentari had been sleeping since they started leaving the main house.

"Mas, let's buy some food first, shall we?" kirana broke the silence.

"Just be careful." That short answer made Kirana fall silent again.
