33. Syifa's Wedding

Kirana hugged Syifa who was sitting on the edge of the bed that had been decorated with flower arrangements while occasionally shrinking her tears. Tonight is the last night for Syifa to be single. It is called midodareni night. Because tomorrow morning, the wedding ceremony will be held.

I don't know what caused Syifa to shed tears. Syifa should be as happy as when she was preparing for her wedding. It is not sad as if carrying a burden of mind.

Sometimes Kirana helps wipe Syifa's tears with a tissue. Curiosity rattled her, allowing Syifa to shed her tears again.

"I can't be happy alone, Na. If I'm happy, you should feel the same way."

"What do you mean, Fa? Of course I'm happy to see you're getting married."

Syifa. "When I get married, I don't have much time left for us. You'll be alone and lonely."

Kirana laughed crisply. It turns out that Syifa has so much love for him. Even to such a ridiculous thought.

Time will keep turning. Time will change. That's a certainty. There will be a time when everything they have ever lived will be a sweet memory. They must be preoccupied with personal affairs that will certainly reduce the intensity of togetherness with friends as close as any friendship they make.

"How come you're laughing, Na? Are you not sad?"

"No. I'm happy because you're going to fall for the right guy."

Syifa. He remembered very well how often to tease Kirana first. Kirana and Baraka. Who knows in the end he will be the companion of Baraka's life.

"Don't cry anymore. It's not funny that his eyes are swollen tomorrow."

Tonight, Syifa asked Kirana to sleep with her. Because tomorrow maybe they can't do it anymore. And the bridal bed was not the first bride to occupy. But they both.

"Why smile, Na?"

"ah! Naw. I'm thinking you're the same as Baraka tomorrow night …."

"Nana! Why are you going anywhere, anyway!" pekik Syifa while hitting the bolts on Kirana.

Kirana laughed too. Then cover her body with a blanket. They should go to bed as soon as tomorrow before dawn should get up and get ready.

****

Syifa looks beautiful in a white dress. And the headscarf covered the decorated chest of a tiara on her head. Make up that looks natural makes an elegant impression.

He seemed nervous since. Even her hands felt so cold grasped by Kirana.

Both of them could not resist the feeling of haru when Baraka said the ijab qabul was loudly accompanied by the legitimate words of the witnesses. All the processions of their marriage contract are witnessed from inside the room through a glass screen.

Syifa also seemed to wipe the corner of her eyes. The taste of haru is blissfully mixed into one. A sincere hug from a friend makes him even more so. The clear point was not able to contain it

Not long after, the door of the room opened. Baraka with a white captain looks dashing to Syifa. Praying with hands placed on the head of the woman he had just married. Syifa kissed the back of her hand.

Someone patted his shoulder. Reawakening Kirana from daydreams. Kirana turned her head and found Umi Sharif smiling at her. The full-bodied woman immediately hugged him tightly. I don't know what it means. It's just that Kirana felt a love that drained her energy and made her come back strong.

Umi Syarif parses his embrace. Cupping Kirana's face while saying a prayer so that happiness always accompanies the woman who was once wanted to be a daughter-in-law. The woman's hand then moved around stroking Kirana's slightly protruding belly. Pray for the safety of Kirana and her future baby.

How lucky Syifa is to have such a loving mother-in-law. Uh! Comparing too much made Kirana deny the favors she had obtained. Didn't her mother-in-law also treat her so well? Probably as good as Umi Syarif.

Kirana nodded as Umi Sharif led her out of the room. Escorting both brides to go to the pelaminan.

The King and Queen of Sehati have been standing together at the temple. Invite attention to the invitation that is present at the wedding ceremony. Who does not like to see couples who are now sitting side by side. Nara Syifa who is a natural beauty coupled with the handsome Baraka Al Fajri, the dream daughter-in-law of the parents.

After the wedding ceremony, then continued with the wedding ceremony. Submitting the bride to the groom's family. Because the responsibility of a married daughter is no longer with her father, but has been taken over by the husband. A woman's main activity is with her husband.

Kirana who was sitting in the row of guest chairs looked teary when she heard the elder's advice about married life. Sometimes he throws a faint smile at Syifa. It was envious to see Syifa's hand as if it did not want to be released by Baraka. It turned out that the man could also be so sweet to Syifa.

"Need tissue?"

Kirana turned to the person who was thrusting a piece of tissue for her. The man in the uniform who identifies the family of the bride. Because Syifa did make all his family and Baraka family with the same dress and batik shirt.

"No. Thank you," Kirana subtly refused.

The wrinkle in the corner of the man wearing the mask signifies that he does not mind Kirana's rejection.

Kirana refocused on a couple of brides at the wedding. Fervently assures the prayer thread recited as the closing of the event.

"Want a drink?" Kirana glanced at the small bottle of mineral water extended by the same person. He refused again softly. And the unknown man kept back the drink that Kirana refused.

"It seems you have been sad since. What's your married ex-boyfriend?" That question made Kirana take a sharp glance.

"No" he answered briefly.

The man also nodded his head.

"Still single?"

Kirana was surprised by the question of the man beside her, even though her face looked flat.

"Excuse me!" Kirana moved out of her chair with a feeling of annoyance.

He circulated a look for the whereabouts of his mother and father among the guests who were taking food. But his parents were far from his sight.

Kirana felt even more uneasy because the man seemed to be tailing her. Even when Kirana picked up one of the dishes at the stand that was not in line. The distance was so close that they almost touched. With a feeling of annoyance, Kirana turned her body.

"sorry. Can you keep a little distance? Your attitude makes me uncomfortable." Kirana said firmly without covering up her feelings. He also took food immediately and met his mother who was seen sitting in conversation with a female guest.
