Remember Me, My Husband!

Remember Me, My Husband!
Today You Promised

Arlan returned with some of the drugs Maysha had prescribed. He had wanted to ask Mr. Udin for help, but finally decided to come along because he wanted to take a short walk in the housing complex where they lived.

I hope he remembers something. But in fact, everything feels foreign. Even the pharmacist where he bought the medicine was also surprised by Arlan's arrival. But, then helped explain the real incident by Mr. Udin.

Upon entering the room, Arlan finds Maysha and Laura talking. But the conversation stopped immediately. Arlan looked at Laura who was already in a reclined sitting position.

“How? Does your stomach still hurt?”

“Still, Mas.” Laura touched the stomach while grimacing occasionally as if she was feeling pain.

“Then take the medicine first.” Arlan gave some of the medicine he bought at the pharmacy earlier and asked Laura to take it. Laura refused.

“I don't want to take medicine from Ma'am Maysha's prescription. How about Mbak Maysha give me some gnawing medicine?”

Hearing the ridiculous accusation, Maysha crossed both hands. While Arlan exhaled a rough breath.

“Your thoughts are too far, Laura. Maysha is a doctor and it is impossible to give just any prescription to her patients.”

“Why are you so sure? Though you heard yourself, Ma'am Maysha told me to jump from the balcony.”

“Not that you were planning to commit suicide, huh?” connect Maysha quickly. “But it seems like you are less consistent about suicide.”

Laura immediately glared in anger. His hand squeezed the blanket with all his might. I want Laura to push Maysha from the second floor balcony. “Mbak Maysha mocked me?”

“Samely no.” Maysha refrains from being lured. He glanced at the clock on his wrist. “I have to go to the hospital. See you around.” Without heeding Laura's reaction, Maysha stepped up. It stopped when it was in the doorway. “Oh yes, before taking the medicine, it helps you browse first to find out what medicine I prescribed.”

Maysha's break was spent enjoying lunch in the hospital cafeteria. He feels a loss of appetite when remembering the state of his household. Arlan returned in a state of disremembering himself and there was Laura among them.

Maysha was about to leave the canteen when suddenly her phone rang marking an incoming call. The call came from home.

“Halo, Non Maysha, Hard, Non!” Panic sound Bik Wiwin greets ears. Make Maysha sit back in the chair.

“What's up, Bik? Slow down.”

“At home there are many journalists, Non. They asked Den Arlan.”

The information made Maysha surprised. It did not occur at all that the return of Arlan would be so quickly sniffed out by the media. Maysha herself only dared to tell some of her husband's closest colleagues.

The disappearance of Arlan 3 years ago was very shocking. At that time he was handling a murder case involving a dangerous mafia.

“Mas Arlan where, Bik?”

“Den Arlan in workspace, Non. If Non Laura is in the room.”

Maysha thought for a moment. He did not want Arlan to feel uncomfortable with the news seekers. “Bik, please come out for a while and give some understanding to the reporters. Just say for now Mas Arlan can not be found.”

“Good, Non.”

"Thank you, Bik."

Call disconnected. Maysha looked quite agitated.

Arlan stared at the news seekers waiting in front of the gate of the house since an hour ago. It looks like Mr. Udin and Bik Wiwin are talking to them. I don't know what to talk about. Arlan himself did not dare to guess what there was need until there were many journalists who came to the house.

That afternoon he spent time in his private workspace while opening several old photo albums between himself and the family, especially with Maysha. Trying to find a piece of the past that disappeared from his memory. Again, everything feels foreign. Instead of remembering something, Arlan felt his head throb.

“What are you doing alone here, Mas?” Laura is suddenly there and snatches the photo album from Arlan's hands.

“I just want to see an old photo album. Maybe I'll remember something by looking at it.”

Laura panicked not playing. Sharpen the brain to find a way to distract Arlan. “For what is alone here, Mas? We better take a walk to the back garden.”

Laura had already pulled Arlan's arm, but not the slightest bit of Arlan shifted. “You can go to the park by yourself. I'm looking to be alone here.”

“You are why, Mas? Is it that important to remember your past?” Laura's words made Arlan look at her sharply.

“Why do I feel you don't want me to recall my past?”

Laura tergugu's. “It's not so, Mas. I'm just—”

“Come out of here!” Arlan blurted out a sharp look.

“You kicked me out?”

“Out!” yelled Arlan once more.

Laura gasped at Arlan's snaps. With teary eyes, he left the room. Arlan was alone. Dropped his body on the couch. Sit with your hands up your head. All of these circumstances made his head feel like it was going to break. Not to mention Laura who was very selfish and wanted to win by herself.

Almost the whole day Arlan spent in his private study. He just went upstairs at night. As soon as she passed Maysha's room, the door was half open and the lights were brightly lit, which indicated that Maysha had already arrived home.

Arlan quietly approached the door and stared inside. Maysha was standing facing the qibla with a white face wrapped around her body.

Suddenly Arlan felt his heart beating fast. Maysha looks naturally beautiful, her skin is pure white. His face was luminous, shady, and almost without burden. I don't know why Arlan often feels like seeing this situation.

For a few minutes, Arlan froze in the doorway and dissolved in his own thoughts. He was not even aware since when Maysha finished praying and realized the existence of Arlan there.

"What's up, Mom?" Maysha's question unravels Arlan's daydream. He looked at the woman a little doubtfully. Then glanced towards Laura's room to make sure it was safe. Because Laura will find trouble if she finds out she's approaching Maysha.

"Can we talk for a second?"

"Can. But I'm gonna change my face first." Maysha was about to step up, but her wrist was immediately pulled by Arlan. Maysha almost hit her husband's chest.

Arlan froze back to look at Maysha. I don't know what feelings are lodged in the heart. One thing is certain, he was at home looking at Maysha who used mukena. It feels cold in the heart.

However, within seconds Maysha pulled out her hand that Arlan was holding. Then take a few steps back like keeping your distance.

“Don't touch me, Mas! Today you promised Laura not to touch me. Have you forgotten the appointment this afternoon?”
