You Will Not Be Brave

Laura's attention now passed to her husband who did not show any reaction to hear Maysha's sarcasm. And deep down Laura really hopes Arlan will be angry. Brazenly and brazenly, Maysha instead asked him to jump from the second floor balcony, where he now hangs. 

“You saw, didn't you, Mas? Ma'am Maysha asked me to jump. That means he really doesn't like it when I'm in this house!” Laura's shout re-echoed in the air.  

“Maysha says like that because you are too stubborn, Laura!”  

“You're defending him again, aren't you, Mas? Do I really have no price in your eyes?” 

Arlan's getting frustrated. Laura's attitude really made her almost crazy. However, keep trying not to be provoked by the words of Laura. “I'm not defending anyone here. Please come down, we can talk carefully.” 

“I don't want to talk, I want you to choose between me or Ms Maysha!” 

Not knowing what to answer, Arlan was silent. Laura positioned herself on a difficult choice. Arlan felt like he was at a crossroads and didn't know where to go. 

“I really can't choose, Laura!” 

The disappointed glow mixed with anger was clearly reflected in Laura's gaze. If she had previously believed Arlan would only submit to her, her heart hesitated and feared that Maysha would shift her position as queen in Arlan's life. Laura swore inwardly would do anything to make sure that didn't happen. 

“Good, if you can't choose. In exchange, I want you to promise me one thing!” 

“What more promise, Laura?” 

“You must promise to always put me first as a wife and not touch Ma'am Maysha without my permission. If you break, you will lose me and the child in my womb!” 

Arlan's eyelids are closed. His breathing is heavy. Over and over again Laura urged him with a difficult promise. Arlan glanced at Maysha who was still calm in her standing place. 

“Maysha, I'm sorry,” shrieked the man. However, Maysha was still dissolved in silence. It was as if she was waiting for what her husband would answer. 

“Reply answer, Mas! Or I'll jump right now!” urged Laura.  

Quiet for a moment, Arlan took a breath. Laura didn't give him time to think. 

“Alright, I promise. Now please come down!” 

Arlan was aware that his words today might cause regret one day. But, what was on his mind now was only a fetus in Laura's womb. However, Arlan did not want the innocent fetus to be a victim. 

Slowly Arlan's foot stepped towards Laura. His hands stretched out to reach the woman and help her to come down. 

“We're going to the room, yes. You should rest.” 

Arlan supported Laura's body into the room and helped her lie down. The woman grimaced several times complaining of pain in her stomach. Maysha who came to the room checked Laura's condition and made sure the fetus in the womb was fine. 

“Laura is okay, Mas.” Maysha handed a piece of paper to Arlan's hand. “You can ask Mr. Udin please redeem this prescription to the pharmacy.” 

Deep in Arlan's heart, there is a pent-up admiration for Maysha. Even the woman did not mind helping, even though Laura had already done her unfairly.  

“Thank you, Maysha.” 

Without waiting any longer, Arlan stepped out of the room leaving Maysha and Laura alone. Maysha went to the door. 

“Wait, Ms Maysha!” call Laura, stop Maysha's move. The woman turned her body and looked at Laura. 

“What's up?” 

Laura commented a smile and changed the position that was originally lying down to sit back. 

“Mbak Maysha has seen, right, Mas Arlan has chosen who? I will still be Mas Arlan's wife even though her memory has returned. And Ma'am Maysha won't be able to change that. So, from now on I will do anything to be her only wife.” 

"Are you sure?" ask Maysha.

"Very sure. I'll prove it."

If Laura thought Maysha's mentality would fall to hear her scathing remarks, then it was a big mistake. Instead of being lured, Maysha returned with a smile. It was as if Laura's words meant nothing to him. 

“I won't hinder you. Please do whatever you want, including to kill yourself like before.” 

 Maysha stepped closer to the bed and stood right in front of Laura. 

“Mbak Maysha challenged me?” 

“No. But you need to remember one thing. You didn't know anything about Mas Arlan before he lost his memory. You also do not know what Mas Arlan did to be able to get the heart of a Maysha Hadikusuma. Because if you knew, I'm sure you wouldn't dare to challenge me like you did. Understand?”
