Reincarnation of Love: Being the Guardian Angel of My Stuttering Husband

Reincarnation of Love: Being the Guardian Angel of My Stuttering Husband
Episode 16's

After the lesson was over, Emily gently folded the paper between the pages of the book, then turned her face toward Raymond while saying, "Thank you earlier."

Raymond's face was slightly blushing, and a shy smile appeared on his lips. "No, it's okay."

The future felt cold and terrifying; lord Raymond, who made people tremble with just a frown, turned out to be a shy and reserved young man.

Emily stared at her little red ears, feeling enchanted and adorable looking at those little ears.

Holding his head with his hands, he looked straight at Raymond with his eyes twinkling.

The young man's eyelashes trembled slightly in nervousness, his bangs neatly combed on his forehead, and his dark eyes flashing about it was somehow like a soft-haired dog.

Suddenly, Emily felt like grabbing the young man's head.

His fingertips trembled, but he held his desire in his heart.

The cold gusts of wind inside the classroom made people shiver unconsciously.

Raymond held the warm water bottle in his hand and felt his heart as if it was being baked back and forth

on the fire, it feels warm.

"Why does he see it that way? Is there something in her glasses or her face?" thought Raymond was nervous.

Raymond lowered his gaze, feeling nervous and happy in his heart. He wanted to stare at her, but was unable to overcome the profound hesitation that suddenly came.

Just by looking at Emily's back, her heart was beating uncontrollably. If she had to look him in the eye, she was afraid that she would get nervous and faint.

Luckily, the girl only looked at him attentively for a moment before turning away.

Raymond heaved a sigh of relief, but there was a vague sense of loss appearing in his heart.

He suddenly hated his communication problems and felt disgusted at the clumsiness and cowardice that was within him.

Those feelings of disgust and hate never happened again and again, like when Andrian Nicholas from the next class came looking for Emily, he would hide in the shadows like a despicable thief, watching the two of them talking and laughing in the hallway.

He felt envious and vengeful in his heart. But deep down, she had to admit that only the shining young man was worthy of standing next to Emily.

Because they are people from the same world.

On Thursday afternoon, as usual, Emily was accompanied by her piano teacher after lessons.

Although Emily had been practicing piano all night and had made little progress, she was still far from her peak state when she was in high school.

This time the teacher did not scold him, as his performance today was slightly better compared to yesterday.

But there is little progress.

"From now on, you have to stay an extra half hour on Wednesdays and Thursdays to practice" the teacher said before leaving.

At the end of the lesson, Emily recalls that she and Raymond were responsible for cleaning up the class today. So he said to Kaila, who came looking for him, "Can you go tell Raymond from our class that I might be a little late coming home? Let him finish his part of the work first and go home first."

Kaila nodded and, after being urged many times by Emily, she turned around and left.

Time passes quickly when playing the piano.

When Emily came out of the piano room, it was completely dark outside.

The lights in the school had already been turned off, and there were only a few street lights that lit up with dim light.

Emily walked up, climbed the stairs slowly and saw that the lights in the classroom were still on.

He walked into the classroom and saw Raymond standing next to a pile of trash, bowing his head while tidying up the trash bags.

The class looked completely different, with a clean whiteboard and a neatly arranged table. Even the floor looked clean, as if it was shining brightly.

Raymond has cleaned everything up by himself.

"Let me do it" said Emily, trying to take a garbage bag from her without putting the sheet music score.

Raymond avoided it.

There was only one light lit inside the classroom, giving it a dim glow.

Raymond lowered his head and quickly packed away the trash. "No, it's okay."

"In that case, I'll accompany you to throw away the trash" Emily said quickly.

This time he refused.

The corridor was dimly lit, and Raymond easily carried his trash bag.

Their footsteps were light, but clearly heard in the silent corridor.

It seemed that only in this not-so-bright environment could he muster up the courage to look at it blatantly.

The girl's silhouette was partially hidden by the moonlight, exuding beauty.

Only a pair of sparkling and brightly colored eyes are illuminated with the light that should see cherry blossoms on a spring night.

Raymond felt his heart tremble a little when he heard the girl whisper, "Thank you for helping me clean up the classroom. Next time, I clean up the class."

"No, no, no need," Raymond's voice sounded a little rushed.

The girl had no idea how happy Raymond could do something for her.

It was as if the unconfident and timid version of himself had finally gained a bit of confidence to stand before him.

Although it was only a little, it gave a sweet taste in his heart.

Emily sighed, knowing that she wouldn't agree, so she didn't say anything more. He secretly planned to clean up the class more than him as they performed the task together later.

They get into the classroom, tidy up their bags, and get out of the building.

The street was lit by warm yellow lights, making the cold winter night feel comfortable.

Emily's house is not far from school, just a five-minute walk away.

When they reached the school gate, he asked Raymond, "Which way are you going?"

Raymond pointed to the left.

"We're going in the same direction, so let's walk together" Emily said with a smile.

Under the moonlight, the girl's beautiful eyes curved into a bright and glittering crescent.

Raymond's heart trembled and he quickly nodded.

They walked side by side, and Emily could even smell the scent of fresh soap on Raymond.

Mixed with the winter wind, there was an unexpected chill in the air.

He looked at the silent man and after hesitating for a moment, he said, "Actually, you can talk even more. You sound good."

Raymond's feet tripped.

He recalled the note he had touched many times, with the words written in it.

That was the first time someone told her that.

Although knowing it was meant to comfort her, a warm feeling could not help but emerge from the corner of her cold heart.

"Alright," said Raymond softly.

The frustration that filled the lowered gaze melted at the sight of the girl.

The gloomy street was illuminated by yellow street lights as Emily looked at the handsome features of the man and could not help but say, "Actually, not everyone in our class is like Kenzo. Some good people, like Marvin and Kirana. They're also willing to talk to you."

Emily knew that the man was quiet and introverted, had no friends and would not talk to anyone else.

But Emily wanted to tell him that there are many people like Emily in this world, who are willing to accept their flaws and listen to them, and are willing to fight their darkness together.

The dark eyes of the man stared at the withered branches by the roadside, and for a long time, he remained silent.

Thinking that she doesn't believe him, the disappointment is felt in Emily's heart.

He kicked the pebble that was beside his feet, lowered his gaze, and fell into silence.

After a while, he heard the man's roaring voice say, "Alright."

"I'll listen to what you're saying" Raymond thought.

Emily's dim eyes instantly brightened as she looked at Raymond and nodded with a smile.

The two walked in silence along the way, and soon arrived at the entrance of Emily's housing complex.

Emily stopped and looked at Raymond, saying softly, "I'm home, see you tomorrow. Be careful on the road."

Raymond nodded, "Alright."

He watched the girl figure until it completely disappeared, then turned around and returned to school, walking through the dimly lit hallway.

There was an unusual calm at school this Friday, which is usually the most restless day for students.

All of this happens because there will be a physics exam in the afternoon.

As soon as the lesson hours ended, the students did not rush off to take a break. They sat quietly at his desk, either studying physical records or pondering about difficult problems.

Marvin is stuck on a challenging question. Although he studied hard, his grades were only average.

The class was quiet, and Marvin couldn't help but glance at his friend's desk.

This fellow, Raymond, was a very good student, always ranked first in physics and chemistry. He never took additional lessons, only his English was not good.

Marvin had been sitting with Raymond for a few months, and the number of conversations they had was very few. The group discussion during yesterday's lesson was the longest talk he had ever heard from Raymond.

Marvin usually hesitated to bother him.

Raymond was always moody and rarely paid attention to others.

Marvin lowered his gaze and looked at the blank questions on the pages of his textbook, thought of the exam this afternoon and recalled the unusual behavior of Raymond during yesterday's group discussion.

He bit his lips and tapped on his friend's desk lightly, whispering, "Raymond."

Raymond frowned and turned his head away, his eyes dark and deep.

Marvin's words disappeared in an instant as he felt doubt within his indifferent eyes.

It took him a few seconds to remember what he wanted to say.

"Uh, do you know how to solve this problem?" He carefully handed over the textbook, his tone cautious.

Raymond was somewhat surprised that almost no one in the class, except Emily, would start a conversation with him.

He lowered his gaze slightly, looked at the question in the book, and felt a strange emotion peak within him.

There was an unusual atmosphere that Raymond felt.

Marvin looked at Raymond with drooping eyes and hesitated to take back his book, saying, "It's okay, I'll find the answer myself."

He felt sorry, knew very well that Raymond would not pay attention to him—"why am I in such a hurry to find someone who would not help me?"

Listening to Marvin's somewhat embarrassed voice, Raymond narrowed his lips.

He thought of the girl who looked at him the other day. Under the dim light, his eyes sparkled with sincerity and cheerfulness.

He said that there were actually people who were willing to listen to him.

Despite the bone-chilling winter wind, Raymond felt a small part of his heart burn wildly.

A warm and gentle feeling slowly spread to every corner of his body.

Sitting beside him, Marvin looked down, contemplating a physics problem he could not solve.

Suddenly, a piece of paper was pushed towards him at the table, filled with ways to answer the question and the answer.

Marvin raised his head in surprise. He looked at Raymond whose face was cold, and hesitantly asked, "Is this for me?"

The nonchalant brat nodded his head, although his words sounded stammered and somewhat awkward, "I-this, ji-if ka-you don't get it, ta-ta-ask la-again p-p-pa-me."

"O-okay." Marvin said, surprised and delighted, "Thank you, Raymond. You're very nice."

This was the first time he realized that his countryman was a warm person with a calm appearance.

Raymond's eyes blinked slightly. He lowered his head and remained silent.

"Good guy?" He snarled in his heart. This is the first time anyone has described it that way.
