Reincarnation of Love: Being the Guardian Angel of My Stuttering Husband

Reincarnation of Love: Being the Guardian Angel of My Stuttering Husband
Episode 12's

The rosy twilight sun shone its light as a piano song that inexplicably sounded disjointed and sad rang out from the music room.

"Um .. is different from the usual piano sound" Raymond thought.

His black eyes glanced as he entered silently into the room.

The twilight wind slowly moved the curtains. Raymond looked at the girl, with his head bowed, awkward and earnestly staring at her phone before lowering his head back to suppress the tones on the piano.

He felt relieved and took a few steps back.

The yellow-coloured leaves fell to the ground, some of the leaves spinning in the air before landing on Raymond's shoulders.

Unknowingly, he stared at the nearby window with eyes as beautiful as night, emitting rays.

In the past, the last class on Wednesday and Thursday was the happiest time for him.

In the midst of a messy school life, Raymond secretly listens to a melodic piano melody outside Room 8 and it becomes his only entertainment.

Because this is where he felt so close to her.

It was so close that his dull, cold heart was alive and slightly quivering, in line with the echoing tone of the piano.

The sound of today's piano is strange, in contrast to the melody that is smooth and fun than usual.

But Raymond's heart could not help but palpitate.

He felt like a secret admirer, hiding in a corner, listening to a piano voice that did not belong to him, fantasizing about someone who did not belong to him.

As the twilight sun slowly dissipated, Raymond heard the voice of a woman from below.

"Class is almost done. I want to hear your training."

There was a momentary silence in the music room before Raymond heard Emily's soft voice, which was slightly choked up, "Mom, I haven't practiced the song yet. Can I do it next week?"

"No, I've given you enough time," the woman's voice sounded resolute.

The roadside lights on the roadside lit up, emitting a dim yellow light.

A few seconds later, the music room vibrated with the discontinuous piano.

The tones had not lasted a few seconds when a disturbance was heard.

"Stop, stop, you why? Emily, even if you don't train for a week, it shouldn't be this messy."

Raymond's heart throbbed, then he heard the girl's soft voice, "Mom, sorry, I didn't practice last week."

"You why? You are usually the most diligent. How can you be like this? If you play like this, forget about going to the Vienna University of Music. No music school will accept you."

The woman's voice was loud, sharp, and firm, making Raymond tremble slightly.

"I'm sorry." He heard the girl sniff, his voice filled with sadness.

"Is apologizing to me useful? Wait in the music room after class, practice again for an extra half hour before going home."

The door was shut hard and, seconds later, the piano returned to play in the music room.

In the distance, a bell rang, along with the sound of a piano echoing the room.

Half an hour later, Emily finally closed the piano cover.

Kaila, carrying a violin, came looking for him after class. After listening to her explanation, she said she would wait for him at the door, but Emily convinced him to go home.

When Emily came out of the music room, the sky was already dark. The dim light in the corridor emitted a yellow light, making his steps feel heavy.

Classes are empty, tables and chairs are organized, without noise.

Emily approached her desk and lazily began tidying up her backpack.

As he reached out his hand into the drawer, his hand touched a package wrapped in plastic.

There was only one light burning inside the classroom, not too bright. Emily looked down and saw a packet of strawberry-scented candy lying in a drawer.

That's his favorite brand.

Emily nagged, tore off the wrapper, and let the sweet taste of the candy melt in her mouth, as if the bitterness she had in her heart was carried away by a gentle light rain.

He sucked his nose and looked out the window, feeling that even the moonlight had become soft.

The next day, Emily bumps into Kaila on the road to school.

He hit Kaila on the shoulder and gratefully said, "Thank you for yesterday's candy."

"What?" Kaila narrowed her big, confused eyes. "What candy?"

Emily frowned, "Candy on my desk yesterday. Didn't you put it?"

Kaila shook her head, indicating that she did not know. Then mischievously, he pulled Emily's arm and said, "What candy? Hehehe, can it be the boy who secretly likes you?"

"Alright, stop your nonsense," Emily, who was half a head taller than him, said casually as she wrapped her arms around Kaila's shoulder. "Let's go, or we'll be late."

"If it's not Kaila, then who?" thought Emily.

*

Kaila is in social class and on a different floor than Emily. After parting ways, Emily goes into class alone.

There were only a few scattered people sitting inside the classroom with more than ten minutes before the lesson began.

Emily watched Raymond read a book.

The morning breeze raised its forehead, and a familiar scent filled its nose.

Raymond's eyelashes are shaking.

"Good morning, Raymond," Emily smiled at him.

Raymond tilted his gaze, a glint in his dark eyes.

He curled his lips, revealing a smile.

It was a small smile yet worth the clouds seen in the distant mountains, gone in an instant.

Emily fell silent, and excitement overflowed in her heart.

Just as the child received the gift, Emily excitedly shifted her chair back, and happily said, "Are you reading a book?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"This part, it's so hard to memorize, have you memorized it?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Well, you're great. Have you also memorized the part after that?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Every question, Emily just gets a cold "yes" answer.

He couldn't help but feel like a cop interrogating an uncooperative suspect.

For a moment, he almost felt that the brief smile was just his imagination.

Emily turned around disappointed, no longer continuing the conversation.

Some people walked into the classroom, sliding their seats violently, causing a sharp squeaking sound.

Raymond lowered his head, once again disgusted by the stuttering he suffered.

If only he could speak normally, then he could say a few more words while talking to her and have a chance to see her for longer.

He lifted his dry lips and looked at the figure of the girl, a bit bitter in his dim eyes.

A clear bird voice rang out from outside the window, and soon the class was full of people.

The first lesson should be English, but the one that comes in is a chemistry teacher.

After fixing the position of the glasses, the teacher said, "I exchanged the lesson schedule with Teacher Erysa today, so we will carry out the laboratory session. Everyone, get your books ready and come with me to the chemistry lab."

The whole class laughed with joy. Obviously, they prefer interactive laboratory sessions rather than dry lectures in the classroom.

Emily picks up the chemistry book and walks towards the lab with Kirana by her side.

"Emi, wait, aren't you in the wrong group?"

Emily was a bit confused, "Aren't her group members free?"

Kirana said, "No, groups are organized based on student numbers. For example, Student Number One pairs with Student Number Two, Student Number Three pairs with Student Number Four. Teacher says it makes it easy to record the lab's value."

"Oh? I see," Emily recently joined a regular class and is unfamiliar with the rules.

He knew that he was replacing the students who dropped out of the regular class, so he should have been Student Number Three.

Which means he will pair up with Student Number Four.

Emily pulled Kirana by the hand and asked, "Who is Student Number Four in our class?"

Kirana had a complete list of student numbers, and her finger froze as she took out a sheet from the book.

"Romez."

The autumn leaves spin and fall, creating a sense of melancholy on the ground.

However, Emily felt a blooming feeling in her heart.

This is a great opportunity to get close to Raymond!

A small sound of excitement danced in Emily's heart, and her steps became lighter as a bright beam of light appeared in her eyes.

Kirana looks at Emily with curiosity and thinks that her new schoolmate is indeed strange. After all, the person who was usually Raymond's partner always tried to avoid him.

He even saw students who paired up with Raymond would talk to chemistry teachers many times in person, just to change partners.

How could Emily be so happy to be paired with him?

Kirana scratched her head in confusion.

They were both at the back of the class, so when they got to the lab, almost everyone was already paired up and sitting together at the research site.

The chemical lab was vast, and Raymond looked blankly at the equipment in front of him.

His indifferent eyes seemed to show a blank stare trying to hide all of his complicated emotions.

In fact, Raymond had long known that his group mate was Emily.

Ever since he entered the classroom and replaced the girl who had already moved to the seed class, he had imagined this day many times in his mind.

He just didn't expect it to come so quickly.

He didn't even have time to practice speaking properly.

Effective communication is inevitable with her lab partner, and she can't just answer with one simple word like "uh," "oh," or "okay" anymore.

The bright sunlight from outside entered through the window, and Raymond felt the growing indecision in his heart like weeds.

His hands were clenched silently.

The chair beside him shifted slightly, letting out an almost inaudible sound.

Raymond's hands trembled and he lowered his eyes, as if turning away from the book.

"Hey, Raymond, didn't expect to be in the same group as you."

Emily opened her book and casually glanced at Raymond, saying, "I'm not very good at chemistry, so maybe I need your help later."

Raymond nodded silently.

Classes were extensive, and teachers did not use microphones, so they had to raise their voices to explain the experimental instructions.

But Raymond could not hear a word.

His entire focus seemed to be taken by the girl next to him, even if he was just playing around with a pen, it caught his attention.

"Alright, you can start the experiment now."
