Reincarnation of Love: Being the Guardian Angel of My Stuttering Husband
Episodes 10

The third lesson hour is English, and in the middle of that lesson, the teacher asks everyone to pair up and read to each other.

Emily could not remove the words \insulting from Kenzo in her mind.

He did not understand when Raymond began to have a speech disorder.

In his previous life, Raymond was always silent but never had any problems speaking.

The chatter filled the classroom, and Kirana, her desk friend, was looking through the pages in the book.

Emily pushed him with her elbow and pointed at the blank page with a finger, gesturing with her eyes.

Kirana shifted a little and saw the neat writing of Emily —

"Did Kenzo just call Raymond into a speech disorder? Is that true?"

Kirana nodded and whispered in her ear, "It seems so, I heard it from others as well. But I've been in the same class as him for over two months and almost never heard him speak complete sentences. Most are just 'uh', 'oh', 'okay', a word or two like that."

Emily lowered her gaze, her delicate eyelashes shaking slightly.

She remembers first meeting Raymond when he said two words to her.

"You, pretty." He said it very slowly, with a small pause between the words, as if he was holding something back.

And over the weekend in the hospital, it seems he just said "no" and "uh".

All answers can be solved with one word.

Emily thinks she's quiet and doesn't like to talk, but she doesn't think that stuttering is an excuse.

He wanted to ask more, but the English teacher was slowly approaching.

The classroom is filled with a lot of sounds.

Emily focused on lowering her head, listening to Kirana read, unknowingly to the silence at her back desk.

Marvin and Raymond have been table buddies for over two months now. Marvin was not a talker much, so he had adapted well to Raymond's silence.

But now, if the teacher knew that there were people who did not read then it would be a problem.

He had to move his book closer to Raymond's side and whispered, "Teacher is here, let me read first."

After saying that, he focused on reading the words.

Meanwhile, Raymond lowered his head. His deep eyes were fixed on the book. He looks very serious.

But in truth, ever since Kenzo made fun of him, his mind has become uncontrollably chaotic.

Many group tasks had been completed, and the crowded classrooms had become much quieter.

Raymond glanced, looking at the slender figure of the girl. While anxiety grew like weeds in his heart.

His agitated heart slowly felt a hint of anger. He was eager to beat Kenzo hard and firmly reprimanded him.

But he can't. He could not even utter a complete sentence.

Raymond was embarrassed.

If he spoke, it must have been spoken in a stammer, not only unable to reprimand Kenzo but also becoming the laughingstock of the entire class.

Emily would have looked down on him too.

Raymond closed his lips, holding the pen so firmly that his fingers looked somewhat pale.

His mind wandered involuntarily, and he thought about how he had returned to his seat without saying a word. "Will Emily think I'm being disrespectful?" thought Raymond.

Dropped someone's book and dropped their drinking place, not even saying a word of apology.

Raymond weakly closed his eyes, some signs of helplessness were seen between his eyebrows and his handsome eyes.

The English teacher again started the lesson, and the classroom became quiet.

Raymond kept his eyes open, forcing himself to listen to the teacher attentively. He had already taken a day off last week and was left out of subject matter and a lot of assignments. He should not be left behind any more material.

His heart was calm before the English lesson ended.

But Kenzo seems determined not to let it slip away. As soon as the teacher left, he stood up and walked casually towards Raymond's desk.

He lifted his leg and kicked Raymond's desk hard.

The sound of a loud bang like lightning instantly silenced the entire class.

Raymond's books in the corner of the table were shaken and fell on the floor.

“Hei stutters, don't you want to apologize?” shout Kenzo.

Emily pursed her lips, turned her face away, and coldly said, “Hready done?”

“It's done? He bumped into me first and still dared not apologize,” Kenzo turned around and arrogantly continued his words while looking at Raymond, “I apologize!”

Raymond stood up, the veins on his forehead protruding, and his normally calm eyes revealed anger.

Although his body was slim, he exuded the confidence of a young man.

Kenzo stepped back hesitantly, but after a moment, he forced himself to step forward.

The surrounding atmosphere feels filled with tension about conflict.

At that moment, the resolute voice of the classroom teacher sounded from the door: “What are you guys crowding about? Huh?”

The audience scattered.

Kenzo looked at Raymond sharply and again obediently sat in his chair.

The teacher walks to the front of the class, holds the textbook, and unplugs the attached USB. After taking a look inside the classroom then speaking in a serious voice, “What is this commotion? Previously there was a fight that ended in the principal's room, and I feel embarrassed by your actions.”

His eyes flashed a cold look, like a piercing sword.

“Especially you, Kenzo, don't try to lie to me again.”

Emily glanced at his face and laughed.

It doesn't seem like Kenzo's first time doing something like this. It was possible that he had intentionally done all the things that were happening right now.

After the teacher finished speaking, the bell rang.

The class immediately prepares with their book and the lesson begins.

Maybe because of the teacher's words, Kenzo didn't make trouble after this lesson.

Emily felt a little relief.

The lesson ended quickly.

During the break, Emily tried to talk to Raymond, but the answers were always vague, like “Hmm” and “OK”, showing her disinterest.

He didn't know if Raymond didn't want to talk to him or if he was afraid of being stammered and made fun of.

But Emily is not the kind of person to give up easily. They still have plenty of time.

*

Emily thinks this problem has been solved by teacher intervention.

However, during a long break that day, as Emily returned to the classroom with drinking water, she heard Kenzo's loud and noisy voice, like the sound of a broken gong.

"Marvin, have you heard Raymond speak?" He grabbed my colleague Raymond and looked around, asking loudly.

Marvin was unable to break away from Kenzo's grasp and could only shake his head.

"Let me tell you, he's a good friend of mine. We were in the same class in the first year, and on his first day, this is how he spoke: 'H-h-halo, s-s-everything, a-a-I am Raymond.'"

He laughed excessively, his expressive face did not hide any feelings of guilt, to the point that he looked out of breath and even hit the table.

A small number of people around him laughed.

Kenzo continued with satisfaction, "This stutterer, really makes me laugh, haha."

The autumn day in Vienna was not cold, but Emily felt her coldness from the soles of her feet.

He narrowed his lips, stood up suddenly, and looked coldly at Kenzo. "Funny huh?"

"Gt." Kenzo turned his head, threw a glance at Emily, his tone cynical. "The angel of vengeance has come again."

Emily had ignored him for the past few days, but now she could not bear to face him after hearing some bad words about Raymond.

Kenzo was envious and angry.

He held back his anger, casually he turned his head back and moved the water bottle on the edge of the table. In giggling, he said, "False courage. Let me just say one thing, that guy is disrespectful. He dropped my water bottle and didn't even apologize. Do you think defending him will make you get gratitude from him?"

The classroom was filled with students, but Raymond was nowhere to be seen.

Kenzo glanced at the door. Outside the corridor, people were busy, and the teacher had just taken Raymond away. It might take some time for Raymond to come back.

So, Kenzo continued his mockery more boldly, "That's why I advise you to stop defending him. Such an ungrateful person might not even say thank you."

Emily closed her lips, her beautiful eyes lit up in anger.

Kirana who was sitting next to him quickly pulled him back, giving him a signal not to interfere.

Kenzo had made trouble in school before, and there were consequences if dealing with him.

Moreover, he made a mistake towards something that had nothing to do with it.

But Emily doesn't care about any of that. Although she was considered a kind-hearted girl, she was not the type of person who would tolerate ill-treatment. If one were to surpass his limits, he would not hesitate to retaliate loudly.

He slightly turned his head to look at the water bottle on Kenzo's desk.

It was a black flask, with some paint peeling off the edges of the lid. Perhaps it was because the bottle had fallen to the ground accidentally on that day.

"Is the bottle considered broken?"

Emily smiled cynically, walked quickly to Kenzo's desk, lifted the bottle, and with all her strength, threw it on the floor.

A blotting sound is heard.

Kenzo glanced down, only to find his black kettle with a scratch from the impact and then the bottle rolled.

"What are you doing?!" Kenzo's face flushed with anger. He yelled at Emily without control.

Emily looked at him with a disrespectful look, not completely satisfied as she ran towards the podium, kicking the water bottle as if it were a soccer ball.

The glass slammed on the floor, making a loud noise.

The black paint rubbed, leaving a messy surface, with a hard thump on the bottom.

Emily then casually picked up the kettle, put it lightly back on Kenzo's desk, and whispered, "This is called slamming a water bottle. Understood?"

Kenzo, his neck reddened with anger, speechless.

Emily smiled sweetly and in a voice that only the two of them could hear, she said, "Don't think that I don't know. The reason he fell earlier was because you were backing him up."

Kenzo's face froze for a moment.

Emily smiled, took out a few hundred-dollar bills from her pocket and put them in Kenzo's desk, saying, "Take this as compensation. Buy a new one and don't spread rumors that I slammed your water bottle without replacing it."

The class fell silent, everyone was silent by Emily's actions.

Emily turned her head away, giving a gentle smile to Kirana. "Let's go, we'll eat, right?"

"Ah, oh, yes." Kirana was surprised and pulled up Emily's sleeve, rushing towards the exit. He grumbled, "Waw, that's so cool. You're not mad because I told you that Kenzo deliberately made Raymond fall yesterday, are you?"

Emily steps up, pulled by Kirana.

The corridor was filled with bright morning light. Raymond stood in the sun, holding a pile of errands, his hair bangs draped in a gentle gust of wind. His eyes hidden behind black-framed glasses were glued to him, without blinking.
