Chapter 12: I love her

Ethan walks back and forth in his study. For a few days he was sleep deprived. These few days his mind was too full. Full of Malvia. Yes, after Malvia left, she was so agitated, so missed him. She's in love with him. The feeling he never thought he would feel again, now he felt it. There was a sense of excitement inside him. He was so worried about her. Is he safe? Is she okay? He continues to blame himself for what happened.

The sound of knocking on the door sounded.

"This is me sir, Esther." said Esther from behind the door.

"Come in, Esther."

Esther opens the door and enters Ethan's office.

"Your mother's carriage has reached master" said Esther.

"I'll be there soon, thanks Esther."

Esther bowed respectfully then came out. Ethan took his suit and came out.

Outside, he stopped his mother's horse-drawn carriage. An elegant-looking middle-aged woman had already stepped out of the horse carriage along with one man.

"Mother." call Ethan and hug the middle-aged woman.

"How are you doing, son?" ask Sarah, her mother.

"Good ma'am."

Ethan greets and hugs the man who is also his brother.

"Hi bro" said Aiden.

"Hey. Come on in." take Ethan.

"So, how are you doing here, son?" ask Sarah. Sarah looked around the house, looking for something.

"I'm fine ma'am. What are you looking for?" ask Ethan.

"The woman, of course!" Aiden laughing.

"Women? What woman?" ethan is confused. Sarah pulls Ethan's hand to sit down.

"Tell me son, what happened?" ask Sarah who seems worried.

"What does mother mean?"

"Don't pretend you don't know, my sister."

Ethan frowned. She really did not understand what her mother and sister were talking about.

"Say your aunt, you have a woman here."

"Women? Ahh that woman..." Ethan just realized that what they're talking about is Malvia.

"Is he a vampire? What's wrong with you? Why bring a vampire?!" squeal Sarah.

"Let's remember, Mom, Ethan will explain, won't Ethan?"

Ethan breathed out and massaged his temple.

"Well? Why just shut up?" Sarah and Aiden look at Ethan, waiting for an answer from him.

"I'm just tired of talking about this, Mom. I even discussed it with the king."

"Because of that! You've been summoned by King Ellard. Why are you being so crazy?!"

"Mother mash asks why did I go crazy?" Ethan asked back.

"Ethan, honey.. Sofia's dead, for Christ's sake! Continue your life! Not just getting involved with this madness!" squeal Sarah. He doesn't think about his youngest son.

"Mom, I'm fine. It's all over, okay?" ethan Strictly.

"So, what did the government do?" ask Aiden.

"I think you already know, why not just ask him?"

"Your father is angry with you! So he won't come here" Sarah said.

"Let it be my father, my sister. He always has been. Self-esteem and demeanor are more important than her child."

"Aiden!"

"Okay, stop. Mom, I'm fine. Obviously I did not betray our people. I've tried my best but I'm not the one who foiled my plan. But now it's all done. His Majesty has also punished me for not following the hunt for six months. So I'll be fine." explains Ethan.

"alright. Then marry."

Both Aiden and Ethan were shocked by the words Sarah had just said.

"What's? Why get married all of a sudden?" ask Ethan.

"That's better, isn't it. So your thoughts are only with your wife and someone is taking care of you" Sarah said casually.

"My mind's fine ma'am. There's Esther taking care of me and for God's sake! Aiden is not married!" Ethan protested loudly.

"Mom doesn't care about Aiden anymore. I'm tired of him." Sarah shook. Aiden just chuckled at his mother's words. Aiden is twenty-eight years old but he doesn't want to get married, at all. He is famous as a womanizer.

"Forget Sofia. Marry Ethan. Please." ask Sarah again. Ethan breathed. I don't know when he'll hear his mother's request.

Ethan was in the greenhouse. In the greenhouse there is a hidden room. Only Ethan knows the place. He built the hidden room after Sofia died. He dug the ground and made a special room underground.

Ethan walks into the back room of the greenhouse. He shifted the small closet so that the entrance was visible. The entrance is on a floor made of wood. There's a padlock and a rope to lift the lid. Etahn opened the padlock and lifted the lid. There was a small staircase that was quite the size of his body, descending down. Not to forget Ethan brought a torch to light his way. Below, Ethan must walk down the road a few meters ahead and then arrive at the front of the wooden door. Ethan opens the lock and goes inside. He lit the candles in the small room and stuck his torch on the wall.

Ethan looked at the room for a moment. The room was full of stuff and looked messy. In the middle of the room was a wooden table. On the table were all sorts of weapons. There were swords, crossbows, knives, pegs and all sorts of more.

After Sofia's hookup, she dedicates herself to making weapons that can be used to kill vampires. All vampires, even the royal family. He manages to make it, which is why now vampires are wiped out, why Ethan was only given a ban on vampire hunting for only six months. Because his contribution made that weapon. So indirectly, it was he who destroyed the Malvian family. Even though he wasn't involved that night, he didn't kill vampires, but he was still guilty.

That's why, this is Ethan. Standing still in a narrow room, staring at his work and regretting it. His encounter with Malvia made him have feelings he did not expect, which he should not have. But the more he rejected and denied those feelings, the greater they got. Moreover, now he does not know where and how Malvia is. Because he's been suspended from hunting, so he doesn't know anything about vampires.

Ethan took one gun. A silver sword that was different from the other swords. A sword that has a unique engraving on its hilt. Of all the swords he created, that sword was the deadliest. That sword that killed the vampire king. He lent it to Rouglas' prime minister.

"Ethan, are you sure you're not coming?" ask Rouglas. He's preparing to attack tonight.

"I don't think so, sir. It's better not." said Ethan. Actually he wanted to come along, but if he saw a vampire in person, his emotions would instantly explode and he did not want to destroy the plan.

"alright. We are truly grateful for the weapons you gave us" Rouglas said.

"No problem, sir. At least that's what I can do. And.. It's." Ethan handed over his sword in particular.

"Sword?"

"really. This sword is different from the one I gave you before. This sword could kill a vampire king in a single slash. Can I trust this to you?"

"Kill the vampire king? In one slash? Wait, how did you make this?" rouglas asked in surprise and confusion.

"Not without difficulty of course. My whole life I've devoted to making this sword. If you're sure you want to kill an entire vampire, you can use this."

"Are you not sure?" ask Rouglas.

"Master, all I need is to kill one vampire who killed my future wife, not the whole thing. But this is our mission from the beginning."

Rouglas sighed. "Well, I'll use it well."

"Can I ask one thing sir?" ethan Pinta.

"Sure, anything."

"After use, please return it to me. Just this sword and please don't tell anyone about the existence of this sword."

"Of course, of course. But... What's wrong? If the vampire king dies, this sword will no longer be used."

"But the sword can not only kill vampires but all the people."

"What's? Whatchu mean? W-how did you make this sword?"

"You don't need to know. Can I hold your word, sir? About my request?" ask Ethan.

"All right, I promise."

"Thank you, sir."

Ethan breathed. He killed Malvia's family and now he loves her. I don't know what he's gonna do.
