Chapter 20 Feeling Annoyed

After treating Aurel, now they were talking to introduce themselves so as not to be awkward.

“So, Aurel and Alex are still in college, huh?” vanesa asked after a long chat with them.

Aurel and Alex welcome all questions from Vanesa. According to them, Vanesa was a gentle and kind mother. 

Seeing Vanesa's gentle demeanor and treatment, Aurel envied Nafa's life. Even though Nafa doesn't have much money or lives with all his flaws, at least he still has a Mother with a lot of affection. 

And himself? Aurel had a mother, but she lost the role and love of a mother. Aurel begins to compare his life with Nafa, he is eager to have a caring mother like Vanesa.

Alex clasped Aurel's hand on his thigh, as if knowing that Aurel was fragile. He understood very well what was on Aurel's mind at this moment.

Aurel turned towards Alex as his hand was grasped. Alex smiled at him, as if knowing his thoughts. Aurel replied to him with a smile and a nod.

"Yes, Mom. I'm majoring in International Relations and Aurel is majoring in Fashion Planning" Alex replied on behalf of Aurel.

Vanesa looked at the two of them in amazement. If he could finance his children's college, they would be as successful as Alex and Aurel.

"So, if you need a kebaya shirt or other clothing model. I can help Mom," Aurel said in a soft tone.

Nafa there just quietly listened to their conversation well. He is jealous of the lives of those who are able to do what they want, without having to work hard for days.

To be honest, after Nafa graduated from High School, he was eager to continue his education to college. However, after his father died, he and his family had to work hard to finance their lives.

Let alone to go to college, to buy a difficult need. Department of Fashion Planning, Nafa is eager to take that major. She loves designing and sewing. 

In the past, Nafa had a sewing machine. But it has to be sold because it needs money. Not willing, but what else?

Vanesa was stunned to hear the majors chosen by Aurel. Because, Nafa told him a long time ago. That Nafa really wants to study in the department of Fashion Planning, his daughter is very smart in making clothes.

Once Vanesa made clothes by Nafa, until now he kept the clothes well.

"Alright, I'll tell you later if need be," Vanesa replied jokingly.

There was no way he would use Aurel's services. It will definitely be very expensive, considering Aurel and Alex are studying at the famous and best campus in the province. Vanesa would not be able to afford it, to make or buy good food for his son alone he could not afford.

The conversation ended, after which it was quiet. 

No one opened the chat again, making them back awkward.

However, Aurel's stomach voice distracted them. Aurel showed his neat teeth, he felt hungry because he had not eaten since leaving with Alex.

Alex chuckles, Aurel's nature is so ridiculous. And according to him, it's adorable. Alex was too panicked earlier because Aurel's arm was bleeding, to forget that while with him Aurel had not eaten anything.

Alex scrambles Aurel's wavy hair. "I'm sorry, I forgot to feed you."

There was regret on Alex's face. Aurel smiled broadly, "It's okay, Alex. Can I eat something now?" aurel asked Alex.

Because the groceries were Alex who brought it, do not know where put by Alex.

"of course. I'll be out for a while to pick it up" Alex said.

Before Alex gets out of the chair, Vanesa stops Alex.

"Wait, Alex. I forgot I had food,"

"Ah no need, Mom. Later Mom will be bothered, besides I had bought it while at the Supermarket. I'll be right back," Alex replied.

Vanesa sighed, the boy was really very stubborn. Even though just preparing the food that is there will not make it a hassle, but the man still went to take his food in the car that he had bought.

Alex returned with a large piece of plastic paper, putting the plastic under the table.

"Mom, can I have some hot water? To make porridge and milk,"

Actually Alex is not good at asking for help at the house of people they just knew. He was afraid of inconveniencing the homeowner, but how else?

"Of course, let's come with me to the kitchen."

Alex goes to the kitchen to follow Vanesa with a pack of porridge and milk.

"With that Aurel will be full?" asked Vanesa to see that the porridge was not much. He was not sure when Aurel ate it would be full.

"This is enough with Aurel, ma'am. Just to prop up the stomach so as not to get hungry" Alex replied gently. 

There's no way Alex would talk about what it is without good language? He was afraid that Vanesa would be offended if he spoke softly.

"If you're done, you go ahead first. I'll catch up later" Vanesa said.

Hearing that, Alex nodded his head in accordance. Alex said, after finishing pouring hot water, he said goodbye to go back to the front.

Vanesa took them a plate containing a cake made by himself and his daughter. He brought the plate forward.

There, Alex was feeding Aurel painstakingly. Vanesa put it on the table plate containing the cake, then sat back down.

After he finished, Alex put the bowl and glass he had borrowed and cleaned it at once. Seeing Alex again sitting next to him, Aurel returned to play Alex's big hand.

Nafa who saw it was hot. He took a plate with the cake and handed it to Aurel.

"Aurel, try. This is our cake" Nafa said with a smile.

Aurel returned that smile. He had tasted the cake when Nafa's cake fell, wanting him to refuse because he could not eat anything hard, but not delicious.

If Aurel did not refuse him, he would also not normally eat cakes like this.

Aurel smiled, he slowly shook his head. "Sorry, Nafa. I'm not used to eating something like this" Aurel replied regretfully.

Can Aurel see the look on Nafa's face that had been smiling widely began to disappear, replacing the look of an upset face. Aurel became even more guilty of seeing that.

Aurel is not comfortable refusing Nafa's offer, it's not nice to Vanesa who has been kind to him. But he doesn't even appreciate them.

While Vanesa just smiled, he understood Aurel because he knew that Aurel from the people.
