Chapter 31 - The Change of Sherena

In the office, Darren is struggling with his work. He focused on the laptop that lit up on the table, occasionally seen him frowning when the reports that there are different files and maps, indeed only a little. If it's not observant, no one will realize it. 

"Nothing three percent, why is the report any different?" Darren muttered, he also checked the data provided by the financial manager. Still, there is a reduction. 

Shortly after, Sarah as her secretary entered Darren's room without knocking on the door first. The woman walked downhill in her flirtatious style which made Darren cluck in annoyance. He was dizzy, even faced with this kind of thing, making his brain just hot.

"Sir.."

"Hmmm.."

"This is a revised financial manager's report." Sarah said as she placed the blue map on the table. 

"Revision?"

"Yes, Sir. Before that, there was a typing error on the map I gave you yesterday." Sarah answered, making Darren's forehead wrinkle. It doesn't make sense, does it?

"Do not check twice before giving the results of the report to superiors?"

"For that, I don't know, sir. But just now, the finance manager left this to me." Sarah, obviously, makes Darren even more convinced that there's cheating here. The smell of traitors is clear since the financial manager was replaced, because the financial manager who before him, was forced to resign because he was pregnant.

"Hmmm, okay. Thanks."

"Together, sir." Sarah answered, the woman smiled seductively. Even though Darren felt that there was nothing more to talk about, then why was this woman still in his room?

"Why is it still here?"

"I see, you're exhausted sir. Need service?" Bargain Sarah with her spoiled style, making Darren exhale her violently. 

"You need some money, Sarah?"

"Yes, Sir. Make me buy my son's milk." Answer Sarah lirih. 

"Where's your husband?"

"I'm not married yet." Sarah's reply left Darren stunned. 

"So?"

"Really, sir. I got pregnant out of wedlock, because my lover wouldn't take responsibility." Clearly the woman was without the slightest trace of sadness. Although binaal, but Sarah is a woman who is quite strong and tough facing her harsh life. 

Darren pulls the drawer on his oversized desk and takes a few pieces of money and gives it to Sarah.

"Take this, I think this money will be enough to buy your son's milk for the next two or three months, Sarah."

"But, normally you'll give me money if I serve." Said Sarah.

"No need, now I don't need your service anymore." Darren replied that somehow made Sarah's heart hot. Hot because of what? Obviously, he's jealous.

"I mean, Mister?"

"I've got a boyfriend and I don't want to let him down, do you understand? So, you better go now and change your clothes." Darren said without looking at Sarah. He focused on his laptop, rechecking the data provided by the new financial manager. 

Sarah came out of Darren's room with a burning hot heart, what did she say? That guy already has a lover? So what were they all this time? Sarah already brings feelings in the relationship, even though Darren does not consider her special. He just needs an outlet and Sarah needs money. It's like a symbiotic relationship mutualism or mutual benefit, should it be enough right?

"No, Mr. Darren should be mine. He can't be with anyone but me!" Sarah murmured, the woman clenched her hands furiously, then went inside her own room. 

During the day, finally after a few hours struggling with his work, Darren can take a break to enjoy lunch. The man stretched his muscles that felt sore, Darren moved from his seat then took his cellphone and contacted the lover.

It took a while for the girl to pick up her phone. He was eventually adopted by Sherena.

'Hallo, sweetheart..' Sapa's soft voice came from Sherena, making Darren's heart feel calm for a moment.

"What's up, baby?"

'Lunch in the cafeteria is the same, baby has lunch not?' Ask Sherena.

"Not yet, still waiting to send her food." 

'Ohhh, good. Do not eat late. Work can be done later.' advice Sherena who makes Darren smile sweetly. Pleased? Of course, he was very happy because he felt noticed by his lover. 

"Yes yes, my dear. How cute is my girlfriend."

'Unfortunately, I love to forget the time when I am working. So I'm nervous, I'm chatty because I love.' Sherena replied making Darren chuckle softly.

"All right, sweetheart. Then I'll see you later in the afternoon."

'Yes, honey. Don't come home, yeah.' 

"Okay, on the next meal yeah." Darren said, Sherena agreed. The call ended, Darren smiled as he looked at the dead phone.

Sherena really made Darren's days more colorful, she was happy because that day she was being chased by the girl. At first, he felt uncomfortable because the girl continued to terrorize him with messages and also his behavior that according to him nyeleneh. But now, all that Sherena has to do, Darren likes her. 

At school, Sherena's condition is not much different from Darren's. He smiled as he looked at his mobile phone which was long dead. 

"Udah, don't look glaring." Meysa said while chuckling.

"Yes, the phone calls ran out the same way, so smiley so. Lo's behavior is very nervous, njir." Say April while pinching Sherena's cheek.

"Elahh, Pril's sick." 

"Maclum, he's in the bucin stage. Si om duren palm has also started bucin it, until call everything."

"Yes, tumben. In fact, most also send a message doang. But now he's calling." Sherena said with a small smile, she put her phone on the table and refocused on her food.

"He must be tired, Sher. So call Lo let's get tired of it less." Arina said, making Sherena frown.

"What is his relationship? Phone calls can make you tired of missing, right?" Sherena asked with her bodooh face. Make his friends compact patting their forehead because of wonder with their friend who is less sensitive so women.

"Gini, if we are tired again. Keep talking to the loved one, so he's tired of missing."

"Ohh, yes I did too. Must be excited again." Sherena.

"Hmm, yeah. Surely he's tired of his work, work in the office must be tired." Sherena muttered while looking down. He really didn't expect that Darren was exhausted at the moment.

"Here you go, let's eat. Then later you have to have fun, you want to shop together."

"Cieee, you guys learn to be good wives later." Chirps Meysa while chuckling.

"Issshh, what the hell. I'm gonna be embarrassed, hehe." Sherena's face flushed red upon hearing Meysa's words. A good wife? It was a wish he had to fulfill later. 

"His face hollers dong.." Arina pokes Sherena's cheeks that are completely flushed like tomatoes.

"Have it been, don't tease Sheren. His face will explode." April's chirps that make Sherena slowly clap her best friend's arm. The four laughed together. The girl was happy because they were in a good environment, they could immediately get along even though Sheren had not moved to this school for a month.

After eating, the four returned to class. Sherena was on the bench with Arina, Meysa was with April. Shortly, the bell rang. The teacher who was about to teach entered with his flat face, he carried many books in his hands. 

In short, the afternoon came. Sherena was delivered by April today, the girl happily drove Sherena home, because their house was in the same direction only different housing blocks. 

"Thank you, Pril."

"Together, bestie. Then I go home first."

"Okay, be careful on her path." April nodded, she honked her motor horn and left. Sherena also goes straight into her house, she still has not seen Darren's car in the garage of the man's house. That means he hasn't come home yet, has he?

'Tumben, he's not home at this hour. Is it so busy, huh?' Inner Sherena.

"Home home, baby." Sapa Arumi in the doorway, it is common that she always welcomes the arrival of her daughter in the doorway. 

"Heem, so tired."

"Please, you're still in school, not yet at work." Replied Arumi while gently rubbing the peak of the princess's hair. 

"Yes, Ma."

"Yes, let's go in. Shower, keep eating huh?" 

"OK, Ma. Ohh yeah, Sheren's gonna go with Om Darren, Ma."

"Where?" Ask Arumi. 

"You want to spend monthly, he said, because at home there is nothing, he said all of you learn, hehe." Sherena replied, making Arumi smile. There's-there's this girl's daughter.

"Yes, are you Mama nitip? At home with oil. But if the monthly shopping, the others are still a lot." 

"OK, Ma. If so, Sheren's gonna take a shower." 

"Yes, baby." Sherena went straight to her room. Arumi who saw that again gave her a sweet smile. She was happy because her daughter completely changed after she liked the adult male neighbor of her house. 

"Like her, Darren has a positive impact on Sherena." Arumi muttered with a small smile.

Sherena opens her phone, she sends Darren a message, is her call to monthly shopping so today or not?

"Dear, where? We're gonna be doing her monthly shopping?" Fill in the message Sherena sent to Darren. The two cheques were blue, but seconds later Darren responded with a phone call.

'Hallo, honey.." Darren said with his breath out.

"Yes, where are you?" Sherena asked with a smile. He was standing on the balcony at the moment. 

'It's home, baby. Just got there.' 

"H-aahh, seriously? But I can't see your car in the garage."

'And I told you, I just arrived, baby.' Darren's reply made Sherena chuckle.

"We're so her monthly shopping?"

'So dong, we all eat outside?' bring Darren.

"Okay, I took a shower for that."

'Yes, baby.' Answer Darren. The man ended his call. Sherena smiled then went straight into the bathroom to clean her body from the sweat that made her body sticky.
