Pentathrones
3. The Village of Amethyst [3]

Kaylis clearly suspected it as a disease and tried several methods of treatment, but people who had recovered most of them fell ill again. So far, Kaylis's clothes have been vomited three times by them.

Horrifically. Long ago it became like an invisible plague. He couldn't stop thinking until it felt like something was shackling his legs to stay there and remain worried.

Kaylis took a heavy breath and carried a small rattan basket in her hand. It was better to go harvesting into the Zelicia Forest while calming his mind there.

Zelicia Forest is located east of Amethyst Village, nine to ten kilometers from Kaylis house. The forest is full of wild plants. For a Kaylis who understood medicine, the Zelicia Forest was like a conjured storage warehouse that would never run out of stock. An hour crossing this forest from Amethyst Village would come to a small town called Idaris.

On the edge of the forest, many fruits grow among the shrubs and low weeds. More inwardly a little, began the many plump-robed trees that were old and towering. More into more, it is likely that wildlife dwellings are better off not meeting humans. Kaylis came to collect a little sweet root and yellow cherries.

She lacks those two ingredients to make a vitamin concoction of pregnant women. Isabelle, the village flower in Amethyst Village and Kaylis' beautiful and fun companion, holds a birthday party tomorrow. She was eight months pregnant.

When Kaylis started squatting while plucking out some small plants on the edge of the forest, she heard grass gravels behind her. Kaylis turned her head back and almost fell from the pedestal of both knees when she saw the figure that caused the sound of the grass.

The golden long-haired man, who was called Lukario by a horde of palace soldiers back then, was not far behind him. He fell to his knees and held his head. At first glance, everyone would agree that he was not doing well.

Lukario looked surprised when seen by Kaylis, like someone who had just been caught off guard. Kaylis suddenly shuddered in horror. They stare in awkwardness.

There was no reason for Lukario, who appeared to be a courtier, to come here alone, under such circumstances. This forest has no way to get to the capital. It was getting even stranger, for some reason he was still in the Amethyst Village at the moment. Kaylis glanced around and confirmed that the two of them were only there. The greatest possibility is just one.

He's stalking Kaylis.

Lukario slowly found his balance and tried to stand up. He looked straight at Kaylis and walked over like a sleepy snail.

Kaylis re-imagined the bright yellow shining eyes that were staring horribly at her back then.

With his heart racing irregularly, he snatched his basket, then ran away from the man. When he turned his head, Lukario came running to follow him. Suddenly Kaylis regretted choosing the wrong direction to run. He went deeper into the forest. Time and again Kaylis arbitrarily chose the gap between the trees and passed between them.

After feeling quite safe, Kaylis hid behind one of the trees, and peered back. His chest is up and down. In the belief that the sickly man could not catch up with him, he rested for a while.

Kaylis wished that the person had already been sprawled somewhere this time - as a healer, it was a terrible prayer. In the midst of that hope, Kaylis realized that a man with such a weak condition might not be able to hurt her. Funny thing is, he himself even ran away so far.

Kaylis was well aware that she was lost in the wild after seeing a monkey jumping on the branch above her head.

He came to an unfamiliar river. The river extends along the Zelicia Forest. Kaylis caught the figure of a man by the river. The man was focusing on the water while swinging his hands in the air. The ripples of water followed the movements of his hands, as if they were communicating.

"Em, excuse me...." Kaylis.

The man glanced slightly at Kaylis. He was a little taller than Kaylis. Her hair is brown. His expression was flat, and his blue-eyed gaze was also as flat as his expression. Kaylis knew this person was not a citizen of Amethyst Village. He is most likely a resident of Idaris City.

"Can you help me?" ask Kaylis timidly. "I.m lost."

"A moment" the man replied without turning his head, in a tone as if to say "Then what should I do?". "I'm fixing something." He was seen trying hard to disturb the river water which was clearly being calm - making it emit noisy ripples - to the point that the veins of his hands were raised to the surface of his porcelain-like skin.

He's not at all friendly. Kaylis quietly waited until the water-disturbing man finished with his business.

In the midst of that wait, suddenly there was the sound of bushes moving behind them. After an unpleasant experience with the rustling of the bush, Kaylis stiffened and was immediately alarmed. He noticed one of the bushes swaying not far from behind them.

Hop!

A ferret approached them at high speed. Kaylis screamed loudly. The weasel jumped almost pouncing on Kaylis. The water controlling man deftly moved position, so that even he was exposed to the scratches. Bleeding arms.

The weasel looks furious because it failed, then back to jump quickly towards Kaylis.

The cold-faced man quickly swung his hand. In a blow, a whip of water floated in the air and flushed the ferret until it slammed slightly backward.

Kaylis followed the direction the man was running. Her hair was flying in the air. Kaylis's thoughts raged about how much she shouldn't have come to the Zelicia Forest today. He could buy anything at the Greamtory convenience store as a gift for Isabelle-juice blender because it had withered for example.

Kaylis stopped running when her face hit the man's back. Sudden brake. "Why did he attack me?" kaylis Protest.

"Schiver, a kind of ferret, they can detect shiny objects up close."

Kaylis noticed the blood on the man's arm, and immediately hurriedly approached. He put his palm over the wound. A green light enveloped Kaylis palm.

He could flow this healing light whenever he wanted. It's a natural talent. It's just that, excessive use can greatly deplete Kaylis' stamina. About thirty seconds later, the wound was gone.

"You brought a sparkling thing?" The man asked Kaylis. "If so, the weasel will be back soon."

Kaylis frowned, digging through the contents of her bag and basket in memory, and she finally recalled something. He rummaged through his backpack and pulled out a red gem, a gift from Agrio.

When Kaylis was about to hand it over to the man, the sounds of noisy bushes were heard again, and the ferret reappeared with excitement.

"Can I borrow it for a minute? Wait here, I'll return it later."

The man ran away behind the trees, and the cunning ferret chased him behind. Kaylis spread her gaze around him. He returned to a place he knew. He could have gone home by now.

But the man told her to wait. After all Kaylis could not let the man take the gift gemstone from Agrio for granted.

Kaylis sat quietly for a moment to catch her breath. He's still bored. However, he seemed not allowed to rest for a moment.

The shadow of a man appeared behind the tree, and after a pair of burly hands split the leaves blocking his way, the golden-haired man's face appeared again.

Lukario.

Kaylis sculpts. He was nodding to his own thoughts about whether he needed to run again this time and whether this man was indeed that dangerous.

"Don't run away again." Lukario suddenly spoke to Kaylis. "Kaylis Gronora, I need to talk to you. I can't go any further" he said in a hurry. Then when he saw Kaylis about to leave, he shouted, "PLEASE!"

The veils of despair were painted so clearly on his face. A bit of pity grew in the corners of Kaylis' heart. He began to think it would not hurt to try to hear first.

Kaylis paused her intention to run away. With the condition of Kaylis to keep a distance of three meters, they sat face to face on the edge of the forest. What a strange position.

Lukario sighing miris. "Include me, I'm Lukario Flux, the palace envoy." He pressed the "messenger of the palace" section with a riled face.

It seemed that he felt humiliated because Kaylis had dared to run away from him instead. Kaylis understood that and remained annoyed. "I understand you have a strange yellow-eye-power-but if you carelessly take it out on people, wouldn't it be natural for them to run around like me? And you even followed me here. That's right."

"Alright, sorry. I should have introduced myself at that time." In order to shorten the time, Lukario immediately ended the topic of the opening discussion.

"All right, so it's like this. I came to pick you up. You'll be the heir to the throne of the Gamara Kingdom." Lukario stared fixedly at Kaylis who started tilting her head. "Come with me, and be a member of the next king's team."

The words echoed in Kaylis' head like empty space and bounced back sounds - when at least there was a brain in there. For a moment he thought his ears had misheard because of the three-meter barrier he had made himself.

But mishearing is also not so outrageous, right.
