Pentathrones
10. The City of Idaris [4]

Although actually already seeing each other, Raido really passed Kaylis troupe just like that. For him, there is no need to waste time if there is no interest in greeting.

Meeting three times with the man did not get Kaylis used to his nature. He frowned until he knew both hands were clenched.

"Wait!" Kaylis slid in and turned to Raido who had already passed a few steps behind her. "Say wait a minute!" reworked.

Raido stopped for a moment, and looked back. "What?" he asked, not interested in a single thing. Kaylis approached and looked straight at Raido. "Right now, I'm in dire need of clean water to make medicinal herbs" Kaylis replied.

"Then?" Raido did not understand why things were not important so it had to be announced to his ears in the middle of this forest.

Kaylis was actually planning to talk to Raido as soon as possible. Because they have met, even in the middle of the forest, he will convey it now. He advanced again until he had to look up further to stare at the high Raido.

"I need a lot of clean water while I'm in town. I have to make medicinal herbs for the sick," Kaylis said. In the process of making the medicinal herbs earlier this morning, Kaylis had to boil and filter the water many times.

The water condition he found in the inn was actually non-toxic and still safe to consume even though it was polluted. But Kaylis, who used to ensure the purity of water before being used for drugs, inevitably became disturbed. Based on his examination at several fountains in the middle of the city, it turns out that this problem is not only in the inn.

Raido thought for a while. He seemed to understand the direction of this conversation. "So, how's your work done so far?" tanyakanya. The work he was referring to was a "court mission to fix the water problem in Idaris City".

He hoped that these people would at least have something planned, as they had obviously not done anything to the Covendale River so far.

"Not yet," Kaylis replied, somehow being able to answer frankly without a burden when she should have been a little embarrassed. "Makanya, I beg of you once again. Let us help you solve this problem," he continued out loud.

"In fact, if I tell you what we need to do, you still won't be able to help me. It's hard" replied Raido slowly.

Kaylis glared in disbelief. It turns out that this guy in addition to liking mute snobs is also a great pretentious. "If you yourself are unable to solve it, when will the pretentious fight alone? There is no result! You hear me, right, I'm talking about drugs? It's important, you want to see people die because of your behavior?" Unaware, Kaylis' hand had reached Raido's shoulder and shook both shoulders.

In an invisible rapid movement, Raido leapt back, breaking away from Kaylis, with one hand lightly raised in the air. Water tendrils extended out from the bottle tied around his waist. Kaylis was pecking at where she stood, stunned to see the water tendrils sharpening right towards her neck.

At almost the same moment, suddenly Arius and Scato were already in front of Raido, with each sword drawing down his neck, staring threateningly at him. On Raido's face appeared a straight line wound, spurting blood. Arius' fast-moving sword had accidentally scratched it.

"Don't touch me. You piss me off" Raido told Kaylis. Actually Raido was still wanting to continue his words with words like "Although so, let's try first" because seeing the persistence and good intention of Kaylis to concoct medicine. However, the girl interrupted all out by snapping, even shaking her body. Raido's patience has its limits too.

After exhaling a long breath once, Raido lowered his hand so that the water tendril was back in the bottle. Arius and Scato also lowered their swords. The tense atmosphere began to dissipate, but sharp gazes were still thrown at each other.

Kaylis seems to have regained control of herself. He came back closer without any hesitation to Raido. This time he looked down grimly. He grabbed Raido's face and held his cheekbones gently.

Raido felt there was a cold stream of something on his right cheek that Kaylis was holding. A green light enveloped the girl's hand. The cut on his cheek disappeared a few seconds later. Raido remembered this light. When they met for the first time, Kaylis also healed the schiver's scratch wound on Raido's hand with this light.

Half of Raido's feelings were exasperated because the girl was too stupid to bother healing trivial injuries. However, he could not deny the warm feeling that had run through his chest because there was apparently also someone who cared about this little pain.

"That's it. I'll check the river myself" Kaylis said. He lowered his hand and looked sadly at Raido. "Let's go," he asked Arius and Scato.

Raido closed his eyes for a moment, pondering what he wanted to say before his mouth moved open. "You won't be able to find him. I accept your invitation, let's do it together." He had already tried to speak well, but it seemed like he had failed because the one coming out of his mouth sounded a bit annoying.

Kaylis stopped her steps and turned to face Raido. Both of his eyes twinkled. His lips curled, smiling happily. "Ah, finally! I know you're actually good" he said with excitement. He ran to Raido again, about to hug, but Raido hurriedly stepped aside.

They finally sat in a circle in the middle of the Zelicia Forest. Raido tells her everything she needs to say, including the plans she has already thought of and maybe they can do together. Arius, Scato, and Kaylis listened carefully, ensuring that they could retell to Lukario well later.

"Why not from the beginning. Until it has to be as tense as before" snorted Scato.

Arius patted Raido's shoulder sitting beside him. "Forget over that. Even though we are not in uniform, we are still soldiers, we must be alert," he said with a grin, despite knowing that Raido would not respond.

Raido has no plans to hold a grudge. He realized the tense incident happened because of his nature and the nature of Kaylis who could not produce a good communication. He often had trouble putting words together and talking too briefly at all times, whereas Kaylis seemed to get used to arguing and lacking patience. They are both completely misunderstood.

At nine in the night, Raido gathered in front of the inn with Kaylis and her people. The man named Lukario performed better tonight. From the way Arius, Scato, and Kaylis spoke to him, it seemed like that man was some kind of leader of this group of theirs. Looking around again, he actually looked quite intimidating.

His golden hair was tied low neatly. His white clothes look heavy with iron ornaments in some parts. On his back, he carried four unique long blunt iron blades.

Since it had not been used for a long time, Lukario checked the condition one by one of his spears carefully as soon as he got out of the inn. He opened a blunt lid at one end, and a long knife poked at the end.

Kaylis shuddered at Lukario swinging the blade into the empty air. Lukario removed the other lid at the end of the handle of the knife's spear, making the long iron chain drop out.

He twirled the iron chain with the tip of the blade in the air, and threw it a little far away, then pulled it back, and pointed the blade in front of Kaylis abruptly.

Kaylis let out a startled cry, and Lukario chuckled. He only intended to show off a large black insect that was stuck at the tip of his thin blade the moment he threw it.

"Mister Lukario's weapon is strange, as if it were designed for himself," whispered Arius to Kaylis' ear who could not take his eyes off Lukario who now repeated the same thing on the other three spears. The four spears were identical, but in fact the blade was different, some were shaped like thick needles, to those like small swords.

Raido awaits Lukario's warm-up calmly. It seemed that the man was actually preparing for the worst possibility. Arius and Scato also wore full uniforms, and were busy trying to swing their swords. He himself just carried a bottle of water casually. Whoever the enemy will be, Raido will benefit the most if fighting on the river bank.

Raido devises a plan to ambush the perpetrator behind a mysterious pile of black rocks piled up in the river. He had checked many times at different times, almost every day all this time.

The conclusion is, the pile is always getting higher every morning. If they waited all night, there was a chance they could find the culprit. That's what they're going to try to do right now.

"All is ready? Let's go" said Raido when all was done with each other's preparations.

They walked quietly into the Forest of Zelicia. Scato was at the front, carrying a lighting device, and Arius was at the very back. The aura of this forest was rather terrifying in the middle of the darkness of the night. The faintly falling moonlight illuminated the branches of the tree adding to the creepy impression.

Kaylis walked in fear beside Raido. The deeper into the forest, the more mysterious animal sounds were heard, and Kaylis gradually clung to Raido. He let out a small scream as a frog jumped beside his feet, and gripped Raido's arm tightly.

"Sorry, I'm surprised" whispered Kaylis. Raido stared flatly at Kaylis who was fluttering in his arms. He was afraid that Raido would be angry again like that time. But unexpectedly, Raido let Kaylis hold it all the way.

Raido focused on the figure of the bird flying from one branch to another branch from earlier. For some reason, the behavior of the bird was a bit strange. Instead of flying freely in the air, he was instead flying low behind them slowly, like. When Raido peered up a little, the bird shifted, like trying to blend in with the foliage.

Kaylis was aware of Raido's direction of view and his uneasiness. "The raven, I saw it several times" whispered Kaylis, without a sound, trying to make the only one who heard it. "You're suspicious too?"

"I hope he's just an ordinary bird" replied Raido. He then pointed at Lukario who was walking in front of them, hinting at the question "He knows not?" and hope Kaylis manages to understand it.

Kaylis was confused, but finally answered with a slit. "No, I haven't asked him. However, if we are aware, he must also be aware, right? He's not a beginner" Kaylis replied with the smallest volume possible.

Raido agreed with Kaylis. If Lukario had known and let it go all this time, he might have had other plans, or he knew that the bird was harmless. Raido tried to get rid of all his worries.

They arrived unhindered at the destination point. The place was a small grass field in the middle of the forest, which on one side was the Covendale River. It was there that Kaylis first met Raido when she got lost first.

Since it was a field, it was a bit difficult to find a place to hide. Lukario climbed into one of the tall trees with dense leaves, while Scato and Kaylis hid behind the Lukario tree. On the other side of the vast field, Raido and Arius lay behind the grass that made their necks itch.

Fifteen minutes passed without anything happening. Kaylis started to get bored. He looked up at Lukario who was on standby above the tree. Lukario holds the spear with the tip of the blade open and the chain extends in a position ready to throw.

"Hey if he threw his spear straight away, it means he wants to directly stab whoever will appear later huh?" kaylis whispered to Scato. "If you die how?"

"Well, as much as I can aim at the neck, why?" It was not Scato, but instead Lukario himself who answered from the top of the tree. "I've met criminals who like to cut their heads straight from behind. It's nothing."

Kaylis shuddered in horror. "He is so the man. I who always train for battle cannot be that hard" whispered Scato, trying to speak without being heard by Lukario.

Three hours passed, and there was still no sign of someone about to appear. Lukario repeatedly reminded Scato to resuscitate Kaylis who many times almost overslept.

Raido yawned many times. Arius who was beside him was still on standby even though while scratching his itchy nape due to the grass. A while later, there was the sound of grass being stepped on quickly, like the steps of people running.

"Look?" raido asked Arius in a whisper. Arius nodded.

Raido sharpened his vision. Before long, the voice drew closer, and the figure of three strangers stopped in the middle of the field. The three of them had pure white silver hair, two women and one man. A woman whose long hair was tied up one used a white veil that covered her entire face.

Raido squatted in place, and slowly raised his hand. He made a large lump of river water rise, formed sharp spears from the water, then threw them one by one. The three silver-haired people nimbly avoided the fast-moving water spear.

"Hey, wait." Arius held Raido in doubt, but Raido did not listen. Raido again raised another lump of water, and this time directed it all at once at the veiled woman.

When the water strike came close to touching the woman, she casually raised her long, sharp-toed finger. Then, the wisp of water Raido controlled instantly froze in the blink of an eye, then fell to the ground and broke into pieces.

The other two accompanying the woman created a sharp ice with their pale hands, and struck it towards Raido and Arius in hiding. Luckily, they avoided.

"Hey, this ice.don't-don't..," murmured Arius worriedly and moved to avoid the next barrage of attacks.

"Stop! Stop that!" Amidst the chaos that had just begun, Lukario shouted, but no one listened to him amidst this commotion. He leaped down from the top of the tree, dashed into their midst, and pushed Raido's emotional chest once as all of his water attacks were frozen easily with this silver-haired entourage.

Lukario's appearance in the middle of the field made them all silent for a moment. The veiled woman lowered her lopsided fingers for a moment. In front of him, Lukario dropped one knee, and bowed to salute him.

"Good night, Your Highness Celia. Sorry for the mess" Lukario said. A moment later, Arius and Scato were lined up to pay their respects beside Lukario.

The woman took the veil off her face. The figure of King Celia, one of the current serving members of King Unus Team, looked flat at them.
