53. End of all night nightmares

Such beautiful cold eyes, which once fascinated Hanaya, now looked so terrible. The beautiful blue pupils manifested into a deep sea that he could not dive into.

The feeling of regret for going too far ripped, like an invisible hand that was suffocating his heart. His body trembled uncontrollably, something as if it was squeezing his lungs, about to smash them into pieces. Such a strong feeling of fear under Xavier's blue-blind intimidation, swallowed him whole. It was like drowning in the vast sea and being dragged deeper and deeper.

The grin was like a black hand pulling him to the dark sea.

Then one sentence that came out hit Hanaya hard. He falls helplessly beside Javier, like a desperate wanderer looking for a way out.

"You look pale! Tell me something!" Javier's worried voice was silent in Hanaya's ears. His whole mind rewired Xavier's lips.

So, how many surprises will he receive? How many horrible things will he experience?

It was like an invitation to enter his nightmare.

All this time Hanaya thought she had gone through bad things and she deserved a mistake, more than just deserving of a happy ending. That was why when Xavier came as a hindrance, Hanaya justified everything. All those victories are just camouflage. Hanaya never, not even a fingernail tip was really touching, Xavier.

Why did he realize this ?

Even with his status, he was unable to denounce Xavier.

The man's eyes seemed to scorn him. As if to say that Viviana with all her hatred is no match. That he would never be able to get rid of Xavier. The man's presence will continue to exist. The only person who will lose is Viviana de Lances. That he would never reach his deepest desires.
