Odd Eye's

Odd Eye's
Part 50's. Ambition that failed

... ⁇ OODIE...

Hanaya took a nervous breath, looking around her. Crowds of nobles and people sat on both sides of the court in groups.

Before long, Xavier's figure in the sleigh entered with both hands chained in iron. The man had no expression, as was usually cold.

The eyes of the two collided triggering a strange thump. Fear and something Hanaya cannot define.

Hanaya and Javier themselves have the top spot, on the right where Javier has a table where the judge is, then opposite the place for witnesses. Xavier himself as a suspect took a middle position making every pair of eyes hit his figure.

The sound of a gong roaring signifies the start of the trial.

"General Xavier in his state duties was appointed as a rhetorical part of the abuse of authorship rights, and changed the facts and truth of one's life history. Attachment evidence in the form of an original manuscript found in a hidden place is given the official stamp of the main general and the printed book that is circulated. As well as living witnesses Lady Penelope and daughter Earl Noir are expected to testify." Hanaya was surprised to hear that. How not ? The core of the trial was missed just like that. Xavier should have been in a verbal investigation, for clarity before entering the testimony section.

However seeing how they looked at the man was very possible to hasten this trial. Hanaya forgets that Xavier is not only a threat to her, but also a threat to the entire castles.

This is a good opportunity to get rid of Xavier who is in the position of a suspect. Popular support certainly makes the judge freely encourage public turmoil that can lead Xavier to the position of a permanent suspect easily.

Hanaya's eyes glanced at Javier. The man has no expression. Could it be that Javier was so shocked that he didn't realize this little misappropriation? Or is the man still leaping into feelings of betrayal? Wherever it is this negligence can Hanaya consider luck.

But seeing how the fluctuations of calm still remained on Xavier's face aroused his hidden anxiety.

The man looks ready.

As if this had been planned.

What a ridiculous thought! Why would Xavier put himself in such a disadvantageous position instead of taking advantage of the fact of the accidental meeting of the two in Vilanc to tear down Viviana with him?

The enslaving dose of fear made Hanaya hallucinate thus far. Planning entirely nonsensical assumptions.

Who knows if it's a mask?

Relax, Hanaya. No one can escape after being trapped. There aren't. And Xavier has been trapped. If this was his own plan, he dug up Hanaya's own grave.

"Earl Noir is just an ordinary man. He didn't even have any scandals, but the stories made up contained atrocities that were clearly not his. Just the background of the exact same place and features, the rest was viciously changed. Please seek justice, Your Majesty! How could a major general make such a terrible thing? When I read it my heart was like a whip. Everyone knows what Earl is like. And the worst thing is the general loading something inappropriate. That-that the Earl harassed his own daughter "

Room in full of slurs. Obviously the sentence reaped sympathy for the victim, while a slur for the perpetrator. Body language, tone of speech and proper expression made Penelope reap more sympathy.

"Even his sick daughter was used as story material. So painful! I beg for the proper punishment, Your Majesty! This trial should not be needed, all the evidence has been gathered why the perpetrator is not directly sentenced to death? Just because royal blood doesn't mean his crime isn't it? This is the same as faking everything! Justice does not belong to truth but to the powerful ! " Penelope is getting hot, her tears are sparking more people's approval. The nobles whispered to each other.

Xavier just stayed there.

Not giving a rebuttal not even flinching.

Hanaya should be happy, happy because Xavier looks cornered but why is her heart pounding in fear and her eyes become so watchful?

A noisy gush filled the court room. More approval to execute the figure of Xavier drifting. There was a sharp smile on the faces of the judges, signifying absolute victory.

So this is the end of Xavier ?

Hanaya tries to convince herself that this will be the end of the man. But the emotionless cold eyes, untouchable demeanor and unseen agitation turned around to grip Hanaya, making her feel depressed. It should be Xavier who feels depressed and threatened instead of Hanaya.

He wasn't in the villain position to feel this crazy atmosphere.

"The judge ruled that General Xavier was found guilty and sentenced to hang"

Javier smiling ?

Did Hanaya just see Javier smile earlier? The woman sharpened her eyes. There was not the slightest change in the look on Javier's face but why did Hanaya feel like she was smiling earlier?

Last night was busy taking care of her delusions making Hanaya forget about Javier who was much more depressed than her. They had just met earlier when they entered the trial room together. And the man's appearance really showed his feelings. Blackened eye bags and reddened neutrals and lethargic faces seemed to lose hope. It was impossible for Javier to smile whereas he was the one who protected Xavier the most. Hanaya probably hallucinated earlier.

"Did?" Xavier grinned, for the first time looking at the judge with a twitch.

"What is this called in adili?" Xavier's cold tone made Hanaya shudder. It was incredible to witness how the man intimidated through just growling as well as dissatisfaction in his tone.

The atmosphere in the trial room was in a silent instant, as if everyone had simply disappeared.

"I reject this punishment."

"You have no right to refuse the general!" The decitan of the chair and the voice of Hanaya's hatred attracted everyone's attention. Hanaya was sculpting, braking so consciously that she was provoked by her own desires. Neutralizing the expression, Hanaya drew a smile.

Xavier grinned.

He showed his fangs.

"Why not? I have the right to refuse because the trial was not conducted in accordance with the procedure. I'm sure the queen knows that. You may have deliberately kept quiet so that I could disappear sooner, right?" Hanaya. Can't believe Xavier intimidated her blatantly.

"General, don't dribble opinions!" As the chief judge.

"Cherding opinions? Isn't that the truth. I was not even given a chance to defend myself. As judges you not only ignore the truth but also miss the procedures that exist"

"Justice is only for the powerful. What about the injustice that is happening now? Everyone turns a blind eye only to get rid of the person they perceive as a threat, turning a blind eye to the truth, are we not all the same

? "

"General please follow orders!"

As the chief judge again.

"direction. Means orders and I'm in forced silence. Is the judge trying to shut my mouth?" The judge froze.

"I'm not forcing you, I just want the trial to be conducted according to procedure"

Xavier smiled a little

"If so don't I have time for self-defense? What if it wasn't me ? What if I'm in a trap ? If I give one proof that the manuscript is fake can I be released?"

Xavier, that guy!

Instead of just making use of his intimidation, Xavier now used the carelessness of the judge to save himself?

Hanaya's fear was realized.

He has to do something !

But what can he do ?

Hanaya is in a position where he can't do anything. His passion had been exposed once, if he were to clean hard then he would only show his obsession.

Now her only last hope is Lady Penelope. But the 35-year-old looks pale. The sad face disappeared, the satisfied expression after pressing Xavier's figure vanished.

"Your Majesty?" Hanaya stared at Javier hoping for the rejection that Xavier got. But given the fact that Javier was so eager to save Xavier it was certainly this, was an opportunity for him.

"Please" extinct is Hanaya's hope. The grin that Xavier showed him was a winning grin.

The obsession to eliminate Xavier completely failed.

"But His Majesty

"Stop! Not only did it skip the procedures of the Chief Justice even commit an offence by defaming the high status of Utopia law by abusing its power"

"Your Majesty this is a misunderstanding"

"There's no misunderstanding whatsoever. Everything that happened in this trial was proof of that! I see and hear everything. The chief judge in dishonorably dismissed all his property as belonging to the kingdom" Javier's final verdict was heard.

The judge's apology and confession are no longer heard.

Hanaya lost. He really lost.

That carelessness ruined everything. And Javier's inertia is not luck. That negligence did not affect any results at all.

Hanaya and his passionate obsession were definitely defeated.

Amidst the despair that filled his net was painted in a puddle of tears, Xavier's slanted smile was caught.

You like her ?
