"So, you're asleep, too," said Melody, putting her voice close to the phone attached to her ear.
It's late at night, calling and saying I'm just coming home. Daniel had even eaten and taken medicine, Jamie had already given a message to go home late.
Melody gave Daniel her cooking so that Daniel could monitor the cooking process. Although the taste does not match the human tongue, because the results of recipes from the internet.
"Just come home with me, and I have a need at the grocery store" said her phone partner, Jamie.
"Oh, okay! Come to the grocery store as well, Melody wants to buy something," agreed Melody.
The raincoat that Melody broke has not been replaced, because she doesn't have much time. It just so happens that Jamie's going to the store, he's going to look for her there.
Down a bespectacled man from his private car, hanging a suit on his folded arm, and two buttons over his shirt had already been removed . In the vast parking lot of luxury apartments, he chose to put the car almost in the corner.
Jamie George Gray smelled cigarette smoke around him as he breathed fresh air outside the car, he spread his gaze, finding the woman whose hair and long clothes blend with the darkness of the night. The man believed that what he saw was not a ghost, because ghosts did not smoke.
Hearing someone's footsteps approaching her, Melody glanced towards the person. He could see the shoes approaching him familiarly, Melody snuffed her tobacco rod, then raised her head.
Oh, those pair of eyes ....
Melody let out a sudden sigh, while the smoke she had just emitted was still in the area around her face, the smoke pierced her olfactory organs, even her breathing was interrupted so she coughed. Jamie opened the door again, reaching for the mineral bottle on the back seat of the car. Poured a bottle of mineral water the remaining half of it on Melody.
Picked up the bottle rough in Jamie's grasp while still coughing, Melody gulped down the half-bottle mineral water until it ran out.
"I'm sorry, my ex" Jamie worried.
Melody pulled the bottle, "Fwahh!!" Swiping his mouth with the end of his jacket sleeve. "Thank you!"
Jamie smiled and was still standing, Melody got up with the back-to-back question, "want to leave now brother? let Melody turn off the cigarette, or do you want to take a shower?"
Sure, the body was sticky after working all day wanting to touch the water, but then Jamie's eyeballs turned down looking at the smoky thing tucked in Melody's fingers. The woman silently watched.
"Yes, we're leaving now" said Jamie, as he moved toward the apartment building.
Behind Jamie's back, Melody smiled faintly. The smoking area in the building was full of men apparently, both walking and passing the elevator without speaking, not awkward but each thinking about the internal problems in his head.
Jamie ruffled his well-groomed hair all day upon arrival at the apartment. He walked to his room, then looked over for a moment.
"Wait here, I'll just take a shower for a while" Jamie said.
For some reason his gaze felt sharp to Melody, he nodded obediently. Jamie went into his room at the hour hand showing the number eight, twenty minutes, then came back out at the forty minute. Ready to go.
Melody only needed to put the bag on her back, and they immediately left for the grocery store first. Jamie did not put much stuff in his basket, Melody had got a raincoat she needed, she approached Jamie who was also in front of the umbrella and raincoat.
"Sister Jamie bought a raincoat too, anyway?" He took a thick object in Jamie's basket, "oh little, for Daniel? I have a car," he said.
Jamie looked the other way. "I was going to buy for you, you choose first, yes I have paid that one," he explained.
Melody was stunned, her brows rising next to her. Then followed Jamie who was going to the cashier. He asked curiously, "Why?" emphatically.
At first Melody was surprised because Jamie said he would buy it without any sense of prestige, even thinking Jamie was different from Daniel. Now he understands.
"High level self-worth!!! far beyond her son!" peekkik Melody in heart.
Speechless, Melody did not resist. But he still denied not wanting to be bought, because the suit is not for himself, but to replace the property of others, it feels unfortunate if the gift of people is given again to others.
"Then two? So that you can also get a gift from me?" Jamie thickened the word of his gift, with a face that was still flat.
Melody was quite annoyed with Daniel's duplicate in front of her, from her hair and eyes that were almost the same, to her annoying behavior just because of prestige.
Without waiting for an answer from him, Jamie asked to bring a raincoat with better quality to the cashier. The cashier brought another raincoat, when put into payment, the price was much higher than Melody chose.
Although the effect sounds like a very destitute person, when heading to the parking lot of women who lined the crackle containing two raincoats, he thanked sincerely because he also realized the true intentions of Jamie.
"It's not a problem" Jamie replies, he has trouble opening the car door because of the two paper bags in his hand.
Melody chuckled withstanding her laughter like a child, she stretched out her hand helping open the door. Put the paper bags in Jamie's hand into the back seat of the car. Melody sat in the front passenger seat.
"Oh yeah, you don't smoke?" melody broke the silence.
Actually, he had heard from Glenn in the past, his ex was often proud of himself and his brother because of their habit of never smoking. Because the upbringing of parents is actually, quite strict, but it is of great benefit to the lives of their children.
Jamie didn't filter his words. "No. It's ridiculous to see people investing in death."
Jamba! Melody held onto her chest that was like being pierced by a spear.
Jamie goes straight to the point without warning. Not only the upbringing of parents, Jamie does hate cigarettes. Melody turned her eyes to the still bustling streets at night, smiling bitterly.
Up ahead are street vendors. Once again Jamie stopped and ordered some food in one of the carts.
He didn't cook today, so he bought food for him and Melody at the merchant who was often visited. Dinner was a benefit that Jamie offered to put up on the deal, so he felt responsible and couldn't just miss it.
"Who will you eat with?" ask Melody while cleaning up so much food in the backseat.
"With Emily. If he happened to be struck by lightning and was already home when I arrived," Jamie said as he commented with a forced smile.
"Ohh ..." Melody nodded.
The mood becomes gloomy, Melody instead looks more moody than Jamie because it occurred to think back to the affair, which his wife did behind Jamie.
Jamie glanced at the middle glass, he switched the conversation right then and there, "just not for your family?"
"Very enough! thank you!" Melody is back.
The car stopped in front of Melody's house. The journey ended just like that, Melody got out of her car with two crackles in one hand. He was still holding the end of the car door after a few seconds, but Jamie had given his greetings. Melody started looking at him seriously.
Jamie's astonished, he wants to make sure, "what's up?"
