Displayed in a room, the wedding photos of two people on their happiest day. The two of them smiled at each other in the photo. Clad in a sacred white dress, the woman was once the main highlight of her time.
The foot of a little child on tiptoes raised his tiny hand as high as possible, pulling the blanket from the closet of the father and his mother's room, never an item even though this room was bedded by him.
The blanket was obtained, the closet door he left open. Daniel walked towards the sofa, using a blanket he covered the entire body of his caretaker except the head.
Just as Daniel was swept away in his dream, the main door opened. It's still noon, Jamie's back. His clothes were casual, neat only informal. Ruffled hair and a disheveled face, Jamie shifted the left right of her eyeballs.
The man muttered, "so quiet, did I just go to sleep ...."
His jaw went up and down to see a transparent pot of drinking water on a low round table, faced with a television. The drops of water that condense on the wall of the glass teapot are tantalizing. Jamie's in the kitchen with a tall, slender glass.
Jamie poured the clear liquid in his glass to the brim, he gulped down water as he glanced at the sofa. The water was not as cold as he thought. However, all over his body even his mind felt a chill looking at his little son asleep piled up with Melody on the sofa. Her caregiver protected the child from the cold air using a blanket, but her own body was freely open on top of that blanket.
"No, I'd better cook," he continued.
Jamie tidied up the picture book on the table with the watermark "Daniel" on the front of the picture book, Jamie never remembered buying it. Carrying Daniel by his father to his room, he realized for a moment and went back to sleep as soon as he landed on the bed.
Melody forcefully opened her close eyes and found that the sun had set, she was aghast to get up. It is worth sleeping comfortably in the cold weather because of the rain, thanks to this warm and soft blanket.
"Medicine, Daniel's medicine is gone!" melody quietly chuckled as she approached Jamie and Daniel who were sitting in the dining chair.
The two of them turned their heads, at this moment Daniel almost swallowed all the medicinal pills, only by himself. His father was just looking after and accompanying him.
"No, I've been eating the medicine, Natasya took the medicine on the shelf, got a chair" Daniel said.
The caregiver breathes a sigh of relief, his negligence covered by Daniel's independence. He sat down at Daniel's side and looked at him with a look of wonder.
"What?" timpal Daniel, after swallowing all the drugs.
"Tumben, normally Dany would prank me." Melody's fist held up her chin.
"Dany's done it before, Melody's disappointed because of it. Dany won't let Melody down again, just so Melody doesn't leave like you."
As surprised as Melody was, Jamie pecked for a moment in front of the medicine storage rack. Melody wanted to discuss it right then and there, these moments of honesty that she had always been waiting for. But her father was right there, Melody's curiosity would sound like scraping through their household kitchen.
"I may be angry or disappointed, but I always come back?" Melody took a breath once. "As long as your father's salary keeps flowing, hehe" he continued.
As much as possible I can't compare or act like I'm better than her mother.
A smile formed an arch in Daniel's lip line, though his hopes were slightly dropped. Melody replied as warmly as that smile, while on the other side Jamie massaged her nose.
"Melody stayed over again yeah," Daniel said suddenly, his eyeballs dropping down.
Those words again, Melody thought for a moment. He could not resist, but it was inappropriate for him to stay at the house of a married man whose wife was not at home. After all, Melody is a mature woman who is ready to get married.
"All right," said Melody, her heart still lying.
Being a challenge in itself, is it true that Melody will come home after Daniel falls asleep or will she be stuck again and go home again in the morning?
Unfortunately Daniel had to be fooled, Melody's cell phone battery did not last long after twenty minutes of her playing. Daniel took his foot off the high bed, but Melody grabbed him by the hand.
"Don't, we'll just sleep. Why am I here when Dany keeps playing?" refute Melody.
"Melody, I want a personal commercial" Daniel said, his eyes heavy.
"Computers? Commercial from where," corrects Melody.
"Hu-um," the boy murmured, then he washed himself away in his sleep.
The more days his insights became more extensive thanks to the information technology he learned over time, his curiosity became more unstoppable. Luckily, Daniel's openness leaves room for Melody to keep her in a safe distance.
Little felt guilty for breaking that sizable rule, but he was sure it would be useful for him in the future. Daniel feels the same tension, his biggest fear being that Melody will be fired if her father finds out.
It wasn't too late, Melody came out of Daniel's room. Jamie was waiting for him in the living room, with pillows and a blanket stacked on the sofa. Maybe he was worried about falling asleep again.
Melody was tidy with a bag on her back, Jamie promised to take her so Melody approached.
"Sister, come on," Melody asked, her two hands pulling the bag strap around her waist.
Jamie nodded, the man got up and prepared. It doesn't take long, just put on some pretty long casual pants. His clothes were as if he was going to sleep. They go to the parking lot, Jamie opens the front door for Melody.
"Thank you" said Melody.
The man went to his seat and immediately drove his car to where Melody was staying. Light conversations flowed to fill the void on their journey, Jamie was surprised Daniel wanted to play with the neighbor's son named Natasya. Unknowingly the entrance gate of the Melody housing was already in sight.
Rem had already stepped on him, Melody thanked the man. Melody pulled the doorknob, her left foot just stepped on the ground. Jamie's delicate grip held his hand, Melody turned awkwardly.
"Wait a minute." Jamie's grip slipped.
The woman raised her legs and closed the open door again, she put her ears wide ready to listen.
"You know, don't you, what it's like in my house," he said, staring at the dark, empty streets in front of him, "you think Daniel's ready for his parents' divorce?"
Melody was stunned to hear the divorce speech coming out of Jamie's mouth, something she didn't want to hear. The decision was appropriate to address Emily's outrageous actions, but she clearly did not want to be a provocateur in this fragile household.
Brother and sister are the same. If you want a divorce, don't ask me! Am I who are you guys?
Melody stuttered, "Me-melody doesn't know, sister, but isn't it that a child always wants a whole family, not to mention a custody battle. Is it okay for Daniel to be with Emily's sister?"
Jamie put on a confused face, "he's his mother."
Of course I know. That excessive disgust of hers doesn't bother you?
Not knowing what else to say, this complicated relationship was exhausting for her. If you can, Melody doesn't want to get involved with their bickering.
"I intend to retain custody, Emily's absence in Daniel's time with illness will be one of the reasons I divorced her" Jamie said.
"Daniel without a mother?" timpal Melody, show her disapproval.
Looking at Melody's pair of eyes, Jamie revealed the gist of the conversation, "I think, with you by her side, Daniel will be able to deal with her."
He paused and closed the conversation right then and there, "that's it, thank you for listening to my complaint, Melody, good night."
The smile on Jamie's face did not show any relief, Melody gave a greeting and then got out of her car immediately. This afternoon, she was just taking care of a divorce.
