NADIRS
Nadir ~ Friends

The initial week of our work in RPB2TB was full of caci-maki. We who have absolutely no experience in the field of making-of building materials this creates a new model brick, instead of shaped beams, arguably more like a parallelogram, in fact, in certain parts there must be a cleft. The luckiest shape is like an omelet, soft how it is.

“Oi Uti! How many times have I told you, that cement dough, sand, and water, should be balanced. Can't be too wet, can't be too dry!” nagel Mr Juanda, “Terus why this mixture is too much? How much did you make?”

“Six, one, Sir. Six argos of sand, one sack of cement!” reply Hero.

“Haiss... really you guys are... where is there a hardiness brick if the dose is like that?!” Mr. Juanda shook his head, “Then this can continue to bankrupt me later!”

Wira and I looked down silently, like children who thought Inanya was playing with mud. It seems that the parents are starting to despair about our behavior. Many times his views alternated between me and Wira who continued to duck and rows of our artificial brick that cleft no desire.

“Haiss... really dead I really want to fire you guys,”.

“We beg you, don't Sir!” cut Hero.

“But, I also pity to see your bum-like faces!”

“Give us one more chance, Sir!” Memelas.

Mr. Juanda looked back at our faces. I seek my face water as sad as possible, like human remains of the colonial era.

“Haiss. I give you one day of opportunity, with a note, your work for a week I don't pay!”

What a cruel rule. I thought the colonialists had exhausted everything from my beloved country.

“Good, Sir!” wira.

Tomorrow we start working again. We watch ourselves to work carefully and meticulously, if we want to not lose our jobs. Thanks to the direct guidance of the owner of the resilient brick, finally I and Wira can also make a brick with a perfect shape. Beams. Not a parallelogram, or a cleft cone.

Slowly Mr. Juanda began to praise the results of our work that satisfied him. Adding to his admiration, we are thin-looking teenagers like being hit by this hungry bush, it was able to produce 150 pieces of brick per half day. What an amazing achievement, said Mr. Juanda. No employee has ever been able to produce that much brick per day. He salutes employees like us, despite being young but dedicated.

For months of work at RPB2TB, still upholding the philosophical meaning that is glorified by Mr. Juanda, we reap countless compliments. Because the quality of the resilient brick is guaranteed so much in demand by building contractors, it is not uncommon for Mr. Juanda to give us more wages. We love working at RPB2TB not only because it gets a lot of praise, but because we already love the process. From starting to stir the dough until the printing process. Mr. Juanda was happy with our work because the turnover rose sharply.

Once we were offered a salary twice or even tripled by the Quality Assured Brick Production House or RPBMT owned by Pak Anam, a rival of Pak Juanda, where we had registered to work the other day. But we refused.

“Sorry Sir, we can't!”

“Why? How about your salary I triple?”

“Sorry, sir, would pay whatever we would not betray Mr Juanda, unless he himself stopped us!”

“What's special about that Juanda?!”

“The problem, Mr. Juanda and his bricks we have considered like family themselves!”

Finally, Anam spoke.

Hearing that story from Mr. Juanda's people met us at the boarding house, one night.

“Why did you reject Mr Anam's offer, it?” ask Mr. Juanda.

“Sorry, sir, we refused it not because we don't need more wages. We need.. but, for us this layman, work is not just a search, but love and comfort!”

Haiss. Mr. Juanda was moved, tears in his eyes.

“Oh, you guys are!” his sigh, “I've never found a young hearted boy like you!” said.

“Thanks, Sir!”

“Start tomorrow, your salary will be raised.” The Light of Mr. Juanda.

“Oi, it doesn't have to be, sir!” He pretended to refuse, but needed.

“Don't you refuse, for this is the result of a long deliberation between me, my wife and my two children!”

Wira looked at me for a moment, “Alright Sir, because you are forcing, we accept this decision of Mr!”

“Thanks, Nak.”

“Sama-sama, Sir.”

Because our salaries have been raised, we work more and more passionately. If yesterday-yesterday we worked just a piece of the day, this time we asked to work overtime. The production of Pak Juanda bricks is also increasing.

Until that fateful night came. RPB2TB burned, as a result of subsidized gas canisters that had cut our eyes on our work in Ko A Kiong's charcoal production kitchen, exploded. Mr. Juanda's entire property was licked by fire. No need to ask about RPB2TB, only the printing plate and some shovels are left. Lucky for this incident, Mr. Juanda and his family did not get burned along with his property.

One trait that we should be grateful for as an Indonesian citizen who aspires to prosper, although there are not many losses for the events he experienced, there are still benefits behind it!

Unable to see Mr. Juanda and his hysterical family lamenting the severe ordeal that swallowed up his property as well as his efforts, I and Wira took a stand.

Tomorrow, we meet Hanin and his entire OSIS board. We propose that OSIS High School of the Great Generation this time do a noble breakthrough, coordinate with O SMAS district to take to the streets, do humanitarian action, raise assistance for the family of Mr. Juanda, fire victim.

“But we have to ask the school for approval first. In this case, Mr. Suyyuti as Wakasek Studentship!” cetus Hanin's.

“Agree!”

Who would have thought, through the great action born from the long thought of a Hero and I, received a positive response in the eyes of the government, the community, and ORMAWA in Tolitoli district. Countless letters of commendation received by the High School of the Great Generation, because it became the main driving force in this activity.

Thanks to good cooperation, in just 3 days, we managed to raise funds of 30,000,000 rupiah, and used clothes for Mr. Juanda's family. Imagine how much concern the people in my district have for each other.

The eyes of Mr. Juanda and his family received the money directly from Hanin's hands. Our breastplate that has triggered this great buzz. Oi, not play. Not only that, the Regional Government who moved his heart, through social services, provided assistance in the form of funds to rebuild the burning Mr. Juanda's house. Yes, although the government assistance was not enough to build a house the size of his home first, Mr. Juanda and his family are very grateful.

For a while, during the construction of his house, Pak Juanda and his family lived in a rented house in the Kampung Buol area, not far from our boarding place in Kampung Kuda. Me and Wira, come to see Mr. Juanda in his rented house. We brought some fried bags.

“Oi, why do you bother again, Uti!” said Mr. Juanda's wife, while offering us coffee.

“Ah, it's okay, Mom!”

Mr. Juanda came back from his room, carrying a black crackle bag. He showed a pocket of crackle that turned out to contain aid funds yesterday.

“According to you guys what should I do this money?” ask Mr. Juanda.

“Ah, why did you ask us? We have absolutely no right to that money! that money is the right of the family!”

“Do not do so, Son. I also need your advice, because without you, these funds would never exist, no one really knows the fateful incident other than the two of you.” Said Mr. Juanda.

Our nostrils are blooming. Not strong enough to hold the pride.

“So, if you don't mind.my wife and I have decided, use this money as the initial capital to rebuild RPB2TB. How?”

“I agree!” answer directly.

“Nak Wira, how?”

“If that is the intention, Father of the family, I agree. But, once again I reiterate, the money is the right of the Father, whatever you want to use it for what!”

Mr. Juanda smiled at his wife, “Then, if you have no objections, I would like to ask for your help to rebuild RPB2TB!”

I looked at the Hero.

“God willing, we are ready to help, Father, as we can!”

Based on the results of the kongko-kongko that night, we also helped Pak Juanda restart his Batako Tahan Bantingnya business. Weight indeed. It took a whole month for us to produce the bricks according to the orders of the contractors. Because our intention is sincere, just to help Mr. Juanda, during the month we did not ask for a salary. Just eat and drink.

After going through a long process; falling out and then getting back up. Mr. Juanda the family returned to their yard. New home. Beside the house, just above the warehouse ground where I and Wira played sand and cement first, has also stood a new brick making warehouse.

Mr. Juanda, the family is not satisfied to thank us. Likewise, we thank him for believing and want to consider us who are nothing more than children of this village like his own family.

That afternoon, when I came back from school, I heard from Bang Akiat that Ama was sick. Lately, Ama has been getting sick a lot. Perhaps because age had been eating away at his strength slowly.

After saying goodbye to Mr. Juanda, and I asked Wira to convey my permission to Hanin to proceed to Mr. Zainuddin. With Bang Akiat, I went back to the village to see Ama. The real hero, wanted to come home with me, but I told him to stay in school, after all I think Ama's pain is not severe, just like the pain that yesterday-yesterday.

“Maybe Amaku just misses me, man!” i smile.

The smiling reply. Waving hands, letting go with Bang Akiat.
