Amaku happy when I showed you the book BIS Rp. 300,000 mine. In the back and forth of the thing many times, he noticed it full of astonishment. I smile and look at him, proud.

“How is the story, this thing can save money, Uti? I did not find one side that contains the meaning of money, except the number three hundred thousand.”

I was stifled when Ama asked that, never expecting such a question to come out of her mind. I answer them accordingly, as I understand. It could be said that most of my answers contain free wreath elements.

“Begini Ama, this savings book is just proof that we have become customers at Bank BIS. Our money is not stored in this bankbook, but in a super-sophisticated electronic thing called a computer. Do you know how powerful the computer is?” mylm.

Ama mangosteen, “Oh, so you mean we can take our savings, if we put this book into the computer, so, Uti?”

“Can be!” my answer.

“Oi, great right this savings book!” his praise. I'm proud. Finally Amaku who only graduated from Primary School can understand as well.

“Then, if later you go to the city, you also bring all this Ama savings money, you put it on the bank's sophisticated computer, Uti!” Ama handed two bamboo slats of stone as big as thighs to me. I remember, Ama always put some of her money in the bamboo.

“Good Ama, later I enter!”

As we had agreed together, Wira and I began to work hard to find money in Pak Kades's Copra Warehouse every school and holiday, of course. Not only there, when the corn harvest arrived, I and Wira did not hesitate to eat a salary as a corn tree slayer. When we harvest rice, we do not hesitate to book a hectare of rice fields for us and then in the milled, and when the growing season arrives, i and the Hero are the first people to bend over in the fields of rice fields or the gardens of the citizens. The wages that we get from those jobs though varied, arguably quite decent. And in this Buga Village, we became famous. Not a few residents admired our persistence. To them, we are two children, friends, who are tireless. Not to be outdone by circumstances, as Wira always told me.

However, all the work that produces it is only at harvest time. Outside of harvest time, I and Wira could do nothing, for months we did not get a job. Especially when the coconut, corn, rice, cassava, and all other crops failed due to pest attacks, I and Wira could not do much.

I opened my savings book, after including all the wages from my work so far plus Ama savings, I could only collect as much as Rp. 2,000,000.00 there. Yes, although my savings number is still more than 500,000 compared to Wira, for me it will not be enough for our ideals of studying to the capital of Jakarta.

“How about, Uti, soon we will finish from SMP, meaning we will enter SMA, it must cost a lot, I'm not sure everything is enough, especially when it comes to college!” I said, to Wira, at her house, as we were practicing on the National Examination grid which was only a month away.

The hero just smiled hearing me, I didn't think he could be that calm after all this.

‘No need for you to make up, man. Let our current savings, we use first to enter High School, later if we have been to school in the city, I'm sure there must be more work we can do and make money on our savings later to college!”

Oi, Wira is indeed a Hero, a great friend who is not as desperate as me. Not to be defeated just like that by relaitas. I was a little more calm to hear his explanation. Heard his plan when we went to high school in town later.

“So, what do you think we should do now?” my many.

“Alright, Friend.”

For a whole month until the day UN (National Examination) and UAS (School End) arrived, not least, at the request of Wira and Mangge Raden, every night I and Ama spent the night at Wira's house. Incidentally, in the garden we did not plant any more corn, after being attacked by pests yesterday. Just some cassava and mustard beds. It's nothing, as the Hero requests, he wants me to help him understand the subjects of UN and UAS. As his friend, I'm very happy that my stupid friend is starting to care about the lesson. I know, all that Wira did for her promise that afternoon, when we burned corn with the melody. Yes, all of that is for the promise of the ideals that he cried out to the heavens and the earth. To nature all.

Seeing Wira began to diligently learn, my spirit was also pumped. If Wira instills in him so that later he can graduate with satisfactory grades as a great ticket to enter the topnotch High School in the city, I tell myself, I told him, that I should be able to sit Ama on bench number one on graduation day later.

Saban afternoon, I invited Wira to meet Kak Cantika, vice principal of Junior High School for Children of All Nations, to ask for his guidance so that we can pass through UN and UAS later. Wira was hesitant at first, but I convinced her for our graduation.

We are happy, to be able to get guidance from Kak Cantika who has indirectly grown noble ideals in our hearts. From Kak Cantika anyway, we get a grid book about UN and UAS “jitu”. And at night, in honor of Cantika's rest, we worked on the problems she had given us over and over again in the house of Wira.

True said great people; ‘Hard work and perseverance will not cheat results!’

After going through a long learning process, I and Wira finally managed to graduate from Children of All Nations Junior High with satisfactory results. Not to play our parents happy. Moreover, Amaku, although I can not sit him on the bench number one, but number two like the time of graduating elementary school three years ago, he was very happy, all day after the announcement of graduation, Ama, he was very happy, in his camp cowboy suit he lifted me to his shoulders, lifting me high, high. I walked around the village tirelessly. Tell everyone that his son has graduated Junior High and will soon enter High School.

I love Ama. I want this happiness to not be cut off from his face.

However, of all the configurations of this story, which makes me happy not to play, is Wira. Yeah, my crazy but magical friend. If from the first grade of Elementary School to the IX grade of Junior High semester odd he becomes the caretaker in the class, aka the ultimate rank, on our graduation day, Mr. Anwar, Mr. Cantika, the entire staff of teachers, all staff, uninterruptedly praising his achievements. How not, who would have ever guessed that a student of Wira could enter the top fifteen on graduation day, out of a total of forty students. Imagine a friend! We should have believed; Man Jadda Wa Jadda. If you mean it, you will reap the rewards. Whatever it is. Although a hero, the stupid one is not that stupid. If you really study, you'll be smart.

Keep that in mind!
