Mystery of Raven's Love Breaker

Mystery of Raven's Love Breaker
Raven's Marriage Failed, Vanessa's Third Victim

Chapters 17.

The engagement party between Raven and Vanessa will be held today. Party taking place in the back garden of the luxurious Hotel “Harrington”. The party is referred to as the Garden Party, because guests do not have to sit around the table, but are free to wander here and there around the park.

Various dishes have been prepared in special booths that each provide its own special food. Guests are free to choose any food they like.

Claire sat alone in a rather solitary chair. His eyes continued to look at the figure of Raven in the distance who was busy welcoming the guests who had come. The smile on his face was as if it was not a happy smile, but rather a forced smile to please the guests.

Claire recalled her conversation with Raven a week ago.

“I decided to stay married to Vanessa, although not anytime soon. But I have prepared plans to hold an engagement party first, as Vanessa.” suggested

“Then means, you will move out of this house after you get engaged to her?”

“Iya. I already have a villa near the mountains that I bought two years ago. I thought we could stay there after we got married. Even now Vanessa is already living there while waiting for our engagement day.”

“Villa near the mountains?” re-collars trying to remember.

“True, I took a look there a year ago, didn't I? Have you forgotten?”

Instead of answering, Claire asked back. “Is it true that Vanessa lives there now?”

“Betul,” Reply Raven.

“Do you think the villa will suit you and Vanessa later? Don't you think it's too far from your city and work?”

“What can I do, Claire,” said Raven while shrugging. “Kukira for a while only, until we get a new home in urban.”

“I don't think anyone knows where the villa you bought and now lives in Vanessa, because you never used it before.”

“Indeed no,” Raven confirmed. “When I bought the villa, your father and Caroline also accompanied me there, meeting the previous owner. We at the same time review the mountainous area there, to find out if it is suitable if made hotel.”

“Good then,” Claire said.

“If it is your decision to get engaged to Vanessa first, I accept it. May you have happy days with him.”

“Thank you, Claire, you finally understand too,” said Raven.

And today, Claire has to let Raven belong to someone else, not hers anymore.

“Claire,” somehow since when Raven was already nearby. Standing up he said with a sigh. “Eth why until now Vanessa hasn't come too huh? He said he'd come alone, I didn't have to pick him up. I was told to welcome the guests first, because he had to make up first as beautifully as possible.”

“Someday he'll be here too. Wait, isn't that villa far away from here? In mountainous areas anyway,” said Claire pitched strangely.

The cell phone in Raven's pocket rang. Raven swiftly grabbed him and looked at the number of the caller. “Yes, Vanessa? Have you come or not? Quickly a little, the guests have been coming since earlier, and they keep asking because they did not see your presence.”

“Raven, Raven, you need to come here right now. Something's going on with me. My body, my face, me.., I...,” Vanessa's voice rang out and hunted.

“Vanessa, what's wrong with you?!” ask Raven quickly. His heart suddenly felt anxious. “What happened to you? You're still in the villa?”

“Click!” the cell phone connection was also cut off.

“Vanessa!” exciting Raven, “Vanessa, Vanessa! You still there?” Raven looked worried.

“Why, Raven?” ask Claire who is still sitting in the chair. He was astonished to see Raven's nervous face after receiving a call from Vanessa.

“Something happened to Vanessa, Claire. I have to get there now.”

“What? You going there now? Then, who welcomes your guests?” ask Claire. “You don't tell me to welcome them! I don't want to have to be sweet-faced and smile at them while my heart is sad.”

“But Vanessa told me to get there right away, Claire!”

“Truth Caroline!” said Claire quickly. “Don't Caroline know where the villa is? If it's someone else, it might not know.”

“Already, you just listen to my proposal,” Claire said lightly. “You can have Caroline call you later on her mobile phone when she gets there. Nothing happened to Vanessa. He's just spoiled and wants you to come pick him up.” Claire tried to convince Raven.

“Alright then,” Raven said after thinking for a moment. He looked up Caroline's phone number, told her to come see him immediately.

After Caroline arrives, Raven tells her to go to the villa in the mountains, see Vanessa and pick her up for their engagement party.

Caroline nodded, a sign that Raven was going to carry out the orders that were given to her.

After that Raven returned to serve the guests who came, while Claire just sat on the chair. On his lips was a smile that was hard to guess, I don't know what it meant.

“Ohh...., what happened to me?” Vanessa sat down in front of the dresser. He was unceasingly watching his skin as it blistered.

His hands, feet, neck, even his face also blistered. Here and there blisters to make people who when they see it will definitely feel disgusted.

“No. This is impossible,” Vanessa constantly mutters herself.

No one was accompanying him. He was stubborn, unwilling to let others groom him like Raven suggested. Everything he wants to do by himself.

After taking a shower, she had just gotten dressed and was about to start putting on her own makeup. But the image reflected on the vanity mirror was as if it wasn't her. Because the shadow was so disgusting, his entire skin blistered, including his face as well. It can't be that his face is like that. Because the face of a famous singer like Vanessa, must be very beautiful. Why does it turn so disgusting?

“Ah, no, this is definitely not me,” Vanessa is like crazy paying attention to the reflection of her own face in the mirror that is no longer what it used to be.

He called Raven to tell her this. But he disconnected his phone immediately because he was nervous.

Soon Raven will come, he thought. In a moment, because it's been an hour and a half since he called earlier.

The doorbell of the villa rang. Vanessa grabbed a piece of cloth that was on her bed. He covered his face with the cloth, from under the eyes to the chin. After that he walked out of his room and down the stairs and ran to the main door.

Vanessa's hand turned the key and held the door handle and opened it quickly. “Raven, finally you...”.

His words did not continue. His eyes looked wide open at the person standing in front of him. Turns out that guy was….

“Why haven't you heard from Caroline yet?” Raven continued to grumble long short, because the phone she had been waiting for since had not entered yet. It's been almost three hours since Caroline left for the villa.

Unable to be patient again, Raven decides she's the one who called Caroline. But like being electrocuted, Caroline's phone turned out to be inactive. Raven tried it many times, but still couldn't. He remembered to call Vanessa. It turns out Vanessa's phone is the same, not active!

What's the matter? Thought jumpy. What the hell's going on? Raven suddenly remembered when Vanessa called her, about three hours ago. Vanessa's words are, “Raven, Raven, you have to come here right now. Something's going on with me. My body..., my face.., I..., I....,” Raven gasped in shock.

Something terrible must have happened to Vanessa! He feels so sure. Yes, Vanessa is in danger!

Raven hurriedly approached Claire. “Claire, help me just this once yes, have a chat with the guests. I need to see Vanessa right now, because she needs me..”.

Raven's words stopped. Mobile sounded. An SMS is in. From Caroline.

Claire stood beside Raven, looking at the contents of the incoming message. They both read it, though,

“Mr Raven, sorry, Miss Vanessa is dead. He hanged himself with a piece of cloth. Come here soon!”

Raven was stunned to read the SMS, as was Claire.

Raven tries to call Caroline again, but she can't. There may be something that is happening or has happened, so Caroline quickly turns off her phone after sending an SMS.

“Can't be this...,” hiss Raven. The whole joint felt weak.

“We just cancel this engagement event!” claire Proposes. “Until now Vanessa hasn't arrived yet. Do you think Caroline lied? Is Vanessa really dead?” Claire wonders on and on, increasingly confusing Raven.

Raven took the initiative quickly. He walked to the podium and through the mic he announced to attendees and guests that the engagement between him and Vanessa today was cancelled. And Raven apologized profusely.

The guests disperse with low boisterous voices and huge question marks. What exactly happened?

 * * *

The ambulance came carrying Vanessa's body. The sound of his siren roaring as if signifying something bad has happened. That's right, because a famous singer was found dead by suicide. A piece of cloth hanging from the ceiling of her room is a witness to Vanessa's departure.

Raven drooped lethargic staring at the departure of the ambulance car. Two hours ago he and Claire arrived at the place, in a villa located near the mountains. The villa he bought two years ago is now a witness to the death of a famous singer who almost became his fiancee.

Vanessa was found with blistered facial and body skin. Could that be why he killed himself? Because he was unable to accept his situation which suddenly turned so scary? She couldn't even afford to attend any engagement party with a face like that.

“Since I haven't seen Caroline,” Claire said suddenly. “Where is he? Didn't he send you an SMS? Where is he now?”

“Caroline?” Raven is conscious. Indeed, since arriving at the villa earlier, they had not seen Caroline at all. “What? Caroline isn't there? Where the hell is he? Could Caroline suddenly disappear?” Raven looked puzzled and she spoke her own words.

Raven tried to call Caroline again, but there was still no result. He disappeared, his phone was not active. What's the matter? Where did Caroline go?

Caroline suddenly disappeared. Because since Vanessa died in a villa near the mountains, Caroline never showed her face again, even once.

For days they waited for Caroline to arrive, but she never came to testify, even the Harrington Hotel seemed to have lost a manager who had led its employees for dozens of years.
