Chapters 14.
It's been almost a week Vanessa was at Hotel “Harrington”. During that time, Vanessa always filled every singing event in the hotel. Even during the day he and Raven reviewed branch hotels and several times Raven invited him to meet and party for high-class people.
They often leave during the day and only come home by nightfall. If there is no singing at night in the hotel, usually Raven invites Vanessa to go to the party of the superiors.
Claire is not unaware that during the week Raven and Vanessa are always together and they seem to be getting closer. But Claire could not say anything, because she thought the relationship between Raven and Vanessa was not a special relationship, but a partner relationship in order to work.
Vanessa's presence at every event was even able to boost the popularity of her company Claire.
But most of all, Claire lets Raven stay with Vanessa, because she thinks Vanessa is only going to be at their hotel for a week, because she's contracted for a week. After her contract expires, Vanessa will leave the hotel by herself, and her relationship with Raven will automatically end. So naive of a Claire's thought isn't it?
This is the last night Vanessa stayed at Hotel “Harrington”. Vanessa's room is a vip room, which is intended for special people. The atmosphere around the corridor of the vip room room always seemed quiet, because it was located on the top floor.
Vanessa walked out of the elevator after reaching the intended floor. Beside her, Raven followed her steps while putting both of her hands into her pants pocket.
“The event was really interesting, huh?” vanessa said as she glanced at Raven who was walking by her side. “I'm always happy whenever I come with you everywhere. It never felt like I was this happy before,” Vanessa laughed out loud.
“You drink too much, look now you get drunk,” Raven responds to Vanessa who looks a bit staggered.
“You too, who constantly bludgeoned me with glasses of beer to the point that I felt dizzy now,” Vanessa tapped her head.
“Hurry back to your room and sleep, Vanessa. You have to check out this hotel tomorrow. Your contract is over, right?” Raven reminded.
Vanessa grumbling. “Ah, actually I'm already at home in this hotel, Raven. I feel like this week is too short for me. I just felt like I was getting close to you, but well, I finally had to go too,” Vanessa heaved a heavy sigh.
They reached Vanessa's doorstep. There was no one in the corridor of the floor because the atmosphere was already very late. The guests had already slept asleep in their beautiful dreams in their respective rooms.
Vanessa swiped the card into her bedroom door, and it opened. He stepped in and pressed the light switch to illuminate the room.
“Now I say goodbye to go home, yes,” said Raven after seeing Vanessa already getting inside. “If you have time, tomorrow I will take you to the airport.”
“Raven, wait!” Vanessa blocks Raven from getting ready to leave.
Vanessa hesitated to answer. “Raven, will you just leave? Don't you want to congratulate me on parting?”
“Oh yes,” Raven thought for a moment and said with a funny mimic. “Welcome to continue the journey of Miss Vanessa, from tomorrow onwards hopefully the beautiful days will continue to accompany your every step. I will never forget you, because you are my best friend, and we can always contact each other by phone. That's enough, right?” Raven waved her hand and was about to turn away.
But this time, before Raven could turn around, Vanessa suddenly grabbed his hand and pulled him in.
“Eh, Vanessa, what the hell is this?” tanyanya surprised. “You can't be like this!” Raven felt uneasy because Vanessa instead of letting go of her pull, but now she bravely hugged Raven's waist with both hands.
“I won't let you go,” said Vanessa. “Not the words I wanted as a farewell,” Vanessa's voice sounded strange, like begging.
“Vanessa, don't do this. I have to leave now, I don't want to ruin our friendship with the slightest thing,” Raven tried to let go of Vanessa's hand that hugged her waist.
But Vanessa seemed to know that Raven would reject her, so she tightened her arms with all her might, so that Raven could do nothing. There's no way he'd be rude to a girl as gentle as Vanessa.
All the women he knew were the same, Raven thought. It's Rachel, it's Claire, it's Tracy, and now it's Vanessa! Raven felt her heart disappointed.
“Raven, hug me,” hiss Vanessa while landing a kiss on Raven's cheek.
Although his heart was worried, but carefully, Raven returned Vanessa's embrace.
He let the girl enjoy every curve on her manly face. He let the girl do what she wanted.
His chest felt rumbling. His head was dizzy thinking about this and that. Moreover, the fear, dear, that was mixed with the annoyance and disappointment in Claire's attitude lately, made her not want to think more. He wants his mind empty. Totally empty! So when his mind is empty, it is the feelings that come in his place.
A person often does not think long when he is about to make a mistake. Because feelings and desires have defeated common sense! The biggest enemy for us is ourselves!
Raven never thought that if the mistake she made with Vanessa tonight, it would cause a calamity that would surely make her regret! But regret often comes too late.
