Mystery of Raven's Love Breaker

Mystery of Raven's Love Breaker
Tracy the Second Victim

Chapters 10.

Next morning...

“Nona Claire, are you okay?” Kyle welcomes Claire to his study. His face showed a sense of worry and also concern.

Claire shook her head. “I'm fine, Kyle,” he said. “I was intercepted overnight on my way to the hospital. Three people wanted to hurt me, but fortunately Raven came to my aid just in time. He got into a fight with them,” Claire said as she walked to her desk, while Kyle followed in her footsteps.

Arriving at the table, Claire sat down on the chair, and Kyle took a spot in front of her.

“Thank God,” said Kyle was relieved.

“Then how is Mr Raven doing, is he okay?”

“Raven is fine,” Claire replied.

“Even this early in the morning he told me he wanted to go out for a while before entering the office. It seems that now he has not come,” Claire glanced at his watch. “Oh yes, have you seen Tracy?” ask Claire.

“No,” replied Kyle. “You said last night, Tracy told you I was in an accident? Is that why you went to the hospital? Want to see me?” Kyle was moved.

Claire nodded. “It turns out I was framed, Kyle,” he said telling. “Tracy deliberately claimed to be a nurse at Hospital Y, reported that you were in an accident and were being treated at the hospital. He told me to come right away, but he actually told some people to harm me in the middle of the road. I wonder why Tracy did that ? Does he hate me? I never hurt him.”

Kyle clenched his hands on the table, seemingly furious. “I don't think Tracy really wants to harm you. I'll make a calculation with him as soon as he comes later.”

Claire shakes. “I don't think Tracy would dare to come again,” he said. “Soalnya man has failed to carry out the task. He must have heard from them that Raven came to my aid. My own fault, why not see clearly the incoming phone number, and did not think to contact you to ask the truth, because I think your condition must be so severe that it is unconscious.”

Kyle ventured into clutching Claire's hand lying on the table. With a face full of regret he said, “I'm sorry, Miss Claire. Because of me, you almost got hurt.”

Claire smiled a little. “Nothing, Kyle. I remember, you always did everything for me and always stood up for me at all times. So I think I should know your condition, right? Back then, I had not thought of myself at all,” Claire pulled her hand from Kyle's grasp. Then he picked up the phone on his desk and stomped on a number. “Halo,” said. “What Miss Tracy has come?” ask her at one of the receptionists in the lobby.

Momentary silence. Then heard the receptionist reply, “Not yet, Miss,” told him after checking the attendance cards of the employees.

Claire hung up. Again he looked at his watch. “Down, Tracy did not dare to come until now. It's already past an hour from the office entry.”

Claire's door opened. Kyle and Claire looked there at the same time.

Apparently Raven's coming. He stepped in and walked closer to them. Her facial features were different from usual, like hiding something.

“Finally you came too, Raven,” Claire said in relief. “Me and Kyle just talked about last night. Did you finish your business? Oh yeah, Tracy hasn't come yet. It seems certain he was the culprit of last night's incident,” Claire said.

Kyle got up from his seat and gave Raven a chance to sit down in front of Claire.

“What's up, Raven?” claire asked suspiciously, because she saw Raven was just silent, not immediately making a sound.

After a while, Raven spoke up. Her tone sounded heavy, “Something has happened, Claire,” said, “Something no one expected. It's about Tracy, she...,” Raven shaking her head, as if bearing the burden.

Seeing Raven shake her head, Claire urged impatiently, “Tracy why? What's wrong with Tracy, Raven? You just came from his house? Apparently you went looking for him earlier. You met her? What did he say to you? Did he confess his deeds?”

Raven shook her head again, listless. His mind seemed to drift out of nowhere. He was stunned for a moment before answering, “Tracy is dead, Claire. It seems he was killed. I saw him lying in the living room,” Raven looked down.

“Whataa?!” Claire jerks. He nodded in disbelief. “No way, no way Tracy was killed. Was he the one who wanted to hurt me last night? Then why was he killed? Who did? You see it clearly? Is it true that it is Tracy?” claire asked as if she doubted Raven's words.

“I'm not lying, Claire,” explains Raven. “In the morning I came out. I can no longer resist the wrath and anger in this heart. I was going to Tracy's house, asking her for an explanation about last night. But as soon as I got in front of his house, I saw that the door of his house was unlocked. When I entered with a suspicious feeling, I found him already lying lifeless in the living room. Someone has preceded me,” he said bitterly.

“What do you mean, Raven?” claire asked suspiciously. “Someone preceded you? Did you really mean to kill Tracy because of last night? Or, maybe because of your picture he found and gave Kyle? Is this really what I think, Raven?” Claire stared hard.

“I never kill, Claire,” replied Raven restrained. “Never once! Why don't you think the three men took him down because they failed to do the job and weren't paid. Could it be that they feel annoyed and instead turn to attack Tracy?” reason Raven.

Claire was speechless at Raven's words. Even Kyle gave his opinion, “It could be so too, Miss Claire,” he said while nodding.

The phone on Claire's desk rang. Claire picked it up and replied, “Halo?”

There was the sound of the operator across there. “Miss Claire, is Mr Raven in Miss's room? This is a phone call for him, from the police. Is accepted?”

Claire thrust the handle of the phone at Raven who was sitting in front of her. “From the Police,” told him while shrugging.

Raven took the call. “Here Raven,” she replied after pressing one of the flickering number buttons.

“Mr Raven, nice to meet you again,” a voice sounded across there. “I am Inspector Jason of the Police. Can you come to the police station now? This is related to Miss Tracy's death this morning. Someone saw you coming out of Miss Tracy's house just now. Okay, I'm waiting for your arrival.” Inspector Jason hung up.

“Sial!” Raven slammed the phone. His face looked irritated after receiving a call from Inspector Jason.

“I don't have to answer your question, Claire,” said Raven in a disappointed tone. “Toh you don't believe me, whatever I say later. Come on, I'm going to the police station first,” Raven got up from her seat and with long footsteps, she came out of Claire's room, left them both, and, Kyle and Claire were looking at him with curiosity.

"Mr Raven, did you know that Miss Tracy, your secretary who replaced Miss Rachel, was killed this morning?” Superintendent Jason asked as he watched Raven's face sitting in front of him. Both of his eyes were staring hard.

“Ya, I know,” answered Raven short.

“Where do you know?” tanyakanya.

Raven fell silent, her heart feeling hesitant to answer. But finally he said also, “I know for myself, because this morning I went to his house and saw he was dead.”

“Do you know how he was killed?” luring Inspector Jason.

Raven shook her head, “No idea!”

Inspector Jason replied to himself, “Nona Tracy was killed in a very subtle way. The culprit broke the veins of the victim in a very vital part. He must have mastered martial arts.which is quite high. Therefore, he does not need any weapons to carry out his intentions.”

Raven remained silent.

Inspector Jason asked further, “So you told Miss Tracy's house this morning. What are you going there for?”

“I went there to ask her for an explanation, what does it mean to tell people to harm Miss Claire last night.”

“Ohya? Is that really what you say?” Inspector Jason made sure.

“You can call Miss Claire. Now he is in the office,” replied Raven.

Inspector Jason nodded. “I believe your word,” he said as he clapped twice as a gesture.

Hearing the gesture given by Inspector Jason, several officers brought three men in the Inspector's room.

“What are these three people who want to harm Miss Claire?” ask the Inspector as soon as they enter and stand near Raven.

Raven noticed them and spontaneously nodded. “Yes right, how can you catch them?”

“You're sure, they're the ones?” Inspector Jason made sure.

Raven stared once more and said for sure, “Tak is wrong again, they are the ones! I remember very well because I had a fight with them to save Miss Claire.”

Inspector Jason gestured for his subordinates to take the three men away. After they were taken away, Inspector Jason said again, “They were caught this morning due to a car theft report.”

“Oh, so that jeep car is a stolen car?” Raven reaction.

“Betul,” Reply Inspector. “Initially the three of us were arrested for stealing a car. But after Miss Tracy was killed this morning, we linked her to the car theft. They stole a car to commit a crime. I thought they were going to finish off Miss Tracy. But from their confession earlier, even Miss Tracy who told them to harm Miss Claire.”

Instantly Raven smiled, thankfully the three people were the other suspects, she thought in relief.

“Now you know that Miss Tracy may have been terminated by them, because they failed to perform their duties and were not paid?”

“Not so, Mr. Raven,” Inspector Jason rebuffed. “After being forced to speak, they admitted to visiting Miss Tracy's house shortly after they failed to carry out their duties. They asked for payment, but Miss Tracy insisted on not paying. Because they realized they had failed, they left. When they left, Miss Tracy was alive. So Miss Tracy must have been killed by the man who came after their departure. Could have been last night, could have been early last day.”

“Well, right. I went to his house only when the sun was up, almost seven in the morning. So you should have found out who it was that came after the departure of the three of them and before my arrival. That's all I can suggest to you, Inspector,” Raven said with a cold nose.

Inspector Jason pondered. He did not have any solid evidence to hold Raven. Because witnesses said Raven came out of Tracy's house at about eight in the morning. But no eyewitnesses saw when Raven came. They say that Raven seems to be rushing out of Tracy's house, and that her face is confused about hiding something.

“Alright, Inspector, if there is nothing you want to ask again, I'm sorry to go home, because my work in the office is still piling up,” Raven said.

With a heavy heart, Inspector Jason shook his hand, allowing Raven to leave. But before Raven got to the door, the Inspector asked again, “Master Raven, this is the last question, why don't you call the police as soon as you see Miss Tracy killed? Instead you just left in a hurry? Doesn't that raise people's suspicions when someone sees you?”

“It feels like I don't need to call the police, Mr. Inspector,” replied Raven quickly. “Because the locals will know by themselves soon. If I call the police, I'll be the one who's suspected and thought I was pretending . I don't want to deal with the police. I better just go, right?”

Superintendent Jason seemed dumbstruck at the thought of Raven's answer. Seeing that Inspector Jason was silent, Raven continued to step out of the room.

Now Raven can breathe with relief, for once again she was freed from all the Inspector's wishes, for the murder of two women who were both his secretaries, he said, rachel and Tracy are not too far away.
