Prologue-Claire Abandoned Her Papa

 

“Stop your heart, Claire!” Raven hugged Claire's shoulder with one of her burly hands, while her fingers gently rubbed the girl's hair that had decomposed undulated all the way to her back, toyed with the cool breeze.

Claire, the only daughter of the late Derby Harrington, the owner of a prominent five-star hotel chain, is only able to look down with a pale face. Her tears depicted a great sadness, and it was as if there was something heavy burden borne by the beautiful girl.

There, was the final resting place of his dearly loved one, his Papa, where he had been leaning all this time. The place is spoiled and gets everything he wants without ever lacking. Because of Derby Harrington, the Papa loved the one\ only daughter so much, giving her all the luxurious life that was in conflict without ever feeling any distress.

“You are not a kara in this world, Claire,” Raven tightened her embrace, so now the girl's shoulder rests on her chest that field. “I am with you, and I will forever remain with you. I'll take care of you like your papa's message all along. After all, I promised your father to take care of you always. I won't let anyone hurt you, Claire.”

“Miss Claire is not feeling well!” said the nanny who's been looking after the girl for the past dozen years, ever since the girl's mom died.

“Oh yes?” Raven seemed anxious to hear the news that greeted her as her steps reached the main door of the magnificent mansion like the palace. “Raven...,” he said small in a hoarse voice. “Finally you came…. I've been waiting for you for a long time..”.

“I'm sorry, Claire,” Raven immediately put yourself on the side of the bed. He crouched there and grabbed the girl's hand in his.
