ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE

In a hurry Cladia came out of her room.

Tomorrow is the day of her graduation, and that means the man will come to her house today, meet with all her family members and talk about their marriage, the thing Cladia fears the most.

Cladia glanced at the watch in her hand, it was still 4pm, there was still time, 1 hour for her to escape before meeting the man.

"Hi, it's been a while Ad?" A voice made Cladia turn her face again. With Jeremy's big smile, Cladia's only brother walked with wide strides, his right hand greeting the handsome man he called "Ad", while his left hand hugged the man warmly.

Hah, seeing them was already like seeing older sister brother not meet.

Cladia said inwardly while taking a deep breath.

"Eh, Cladia, come sit here, why stand there? Can't you wait to marry your prince until you're alone in there?" Cladia's eyes were a little bought by Jeremy's jokes, while Ornado Xanderson, the man called Ad, just smiled.

And it must be admitted that the man's smile was actually charming, but not for Cladia.

With a lazy step Cladia walked towards the empty seat in front of Ornado, to the right of Jeremy who had already sat first.

"Hey, how's James doing?" Jeremy greets the man sitting next to Ornado, the cousin and right-hand man of Ornado Xanderson, the CEO of the Xanderson group who is in charge of manufacturing, property and fashion.

Jeremy just laughed at the scene in front of him. But not with Cladia, her face remained expressionless flat, hoping to escape from the place as soon as possible.

Their conversation was dominated by the three men, Ornado, James and Jeremy.

Cladia daydreams more and tries not to listen to their conversation which makes her uncomfortable and wants to run away.

Cladia knew she wouldn't be able to avoid the marriage, but still she kept trying to find a way out.

If it wasn't for the will of her late parents, Cladia wouldn't have married Ornado.

Both of Cladia's parents were friends with Ornado's parents, even far away when the Xanderson Group wasn't as great as it is now, even in hard times, they helped each other, they helped each other, until a deal happens that for Cladia really doesn't make any sense.

They agreed to betroth their son, so that the rope of their brotherhood would be stronger. It was really a command from the parents that Cladia could not refuse.

Ornado's real mother, a beautiful woman from Indonesia, 15 years ago died of heart disease and lung cancer. Ornado used to live with his mother in Indonesia, his father who was Italian once a month for a week definitely came to visit his wife and son.

But as soon as Ornado's mother died, Ornado's biological father took Ornado to Italy. Cladia's parents died 6 years ago in a car accident.

Cladia stole a glance at Ornado, and she took a deep breath. The man in front of him, with his native Italian and Indonesian blood combined, really had to be recognized as making him the most handsome man he had ever seen.

True if anyone ever said the combination of two different races will produce a handsome and beautiful child, it is evident by the presence of Ornado, the peranakan of Europe and Asia.
