CHAPTER 5 - My Choice

The clock showed at 4pm. Realizing I've been asleep for so long, I wake up immediately. Since I haven't eaten in the morning, maybe I'll cook something simple. Walking towards the kitchen I chose to cook instant noodles only. My laziness is still attached but the worms in the stomach have thrashed asking for intake.

After eating, I went out of the house and sat on the terrace. Seen some children are playing on the streets, because my house is in a residential area so it is not too crowded vehicles pass. I remember what happened this morning. If Mas Adnan decides to choose that woman, I can only give her a hand, rather than continue with me but many do not accept it. Maybe for now only his parents refused, what if his extended family finally found out?

It doesn't feel like it's dark. I went in and locked the door and decided to take a shower and go to sleep. There was nothing I wanted to do, so it was better to go to bed early.

As I was getting ready to go to sleep, I heard someone knocking on my door. I wondered and feared who would knock on the door continuously. No one has ever visited at night.

I walked out by sniffing. Trying to see from the window. I was again made surprised, on the outside look Mas Adnan with a messy appearance still keeps knocking on the door. I immediately walked to the door and opened it.

"Mas," call me.

"Finally you open it too" he replied with a relieved look.

"What's wrong, she said, so you're not going home today?" my many.

"I'm really worried because you turned off the phone. I chat also you do not bales, let alone you read," his tone sounded lethargic.

"Sorry, Mas, I fell asleep so not spit bales," I said. I intentionally avoided it.

"I'm afraid you're doing something, so I broke up to go home. You rarely want to call me first, but when you call suddenly you die."

"It was then that I forgot the stove, so I was shocked, not intentionally to push his cellphone," I replied. I don't know why I chose to lie. I'm not gonna ask what really happened, let him explain it to himself if he really intends to tell a story. "Sit down, Mas, I'll get you a drink, you're such a mess." I invited him to sit on the porch.

I went inside and got him a glass of water. After he finished the glass of water he spoke again.

"My sudden arrival really wants to talk about important things with you," he said. After a few seconds of silence he continued. "Well, I thought you'd be watching for a week, or you'd want to be able to accept."

Bad thoughts came back, would he accept the woman he was betrothed to? I tried to neutralize my expression. "What's important?" my many.

"I also talked to my parents, and they agreed. I'll marry you next week" she replied.

I glared at her reply, "Crazy ya you," my tone rose. "Your parents are still not happy, not that you tell me to think about this first, why suddenly change like this," my eyes glazed over and my tone weakened.

"I'm really sorry this time," she clenched her hands together and knelt down. "I couldn't wait any longer.My parents also have accepted you with open arms."

"How can your parents get me in such a short time. This morning your mother came to say she wished you were married to that woman."

"Mother was here?" tanyanya.

I was still in shock accidentally slipped. "Yes, he came here this morning" I replied slowly. Yes, how do you already want to be closed again.

"Ngapain Mommy's here. Mom doesn't mind you, does she? Mom said what to you. He didn't say anything weird, did he not tell you to leave me, did he?" tanyanya fear.

"He said you didn't come home because you met a woman who wanted to be betrothed to you." It has also been revealed, I have discussed.

"Stand up first, don't believe it," I led him to sit down. "We're talking all right with a cold head."

"That disappointed me why I had to hear the news from someone else. Even if you speak honestly, I also will not forbid you to meet the woman," I continued.

"Do you remember if I wanted to talk to my parents again? After I talked to them, they gave me the condition that I meet the woman first. They said after that I could marry you if I wasn't interested in him. They also say they will accept you with open arms" he explained.

Silence struck, he did not speak anymore. I don't know what kind of reaction I'm going to react to either. After fighting with my thoughts I ventured to ask, "why didn't you talk from the beginning?"

"I'm afraid you'll get angry. This is also my form of struggle for you in front of my parents. So let me know, I should" he replied.

"How do you feel about that woman after meeting and talking? If I'm being selfish, I'm actually afraid you're more picky than me."

"You don't think badly of me, you know how much my love is with you?" he asked and started to hold my right hand and bring it to his chest. "My heart beats hard just right with you" he continued.

I looked into his eyes, there was no trace of lies from there. His heart was beating fast. Why does it seem like I'm the wrong side? I don't seem to appreciate how she fought for me in front of her parents.

This time I want to be selfish. I'm tired of this, I'm going to fight with it too. I don't care about the response of both parents, because the next one is the two of us.

"You want to get married next week, yes we are married" I said with a smile.

"Surely, you're not lying. I'm not dreaming anymore, am I?" tanyanya while patting both cheeks.

"No. You are no longer a dream, I really want to marry you."

"Thank you, thank you very much" he stood up and took me into his arms. "But...you won't leave me at the wedding, right? Like in those dramas?" she's staring.

"Ha ha ha, yes. Your mind is random."

"At first you refused and cheered for the blessing of my parents. Can't believe they actually received you, but this is suddenly you want, I'll be thinking until there."

"Oh, don't think anything weird. I am now convinced that you are the one who will make me happy forever. I'm sorry that I was angry with you because of this."

"Sir papa. The past let it pass" he answered and took me back into his arms.

I hope my choice is not wrong and hopefully it can be a new and better start for both of us.
