"WHAT IS THIS?" Shouting Mother. Mother approached Mas Ardi who was still sitting on the floor.
My hand is still in Mas Adnan's grasp, he is still breathing to stabilize. I remained silent, not intending to explain, because if I were to explain maybe no one would believe.
There were 6 pairs of heads covering us, including Father and Mother, I bowed my head, Mas Adnan took me to stand behind his body.
"Nan, explain what's going on? Is this you?" Mom asked looking at Mas Adnan but her index finger pointed at Mas Ardi.
"Regularly male," Mas Adnan replied casually.
Mas Ardi chuckled, "we're used to this, right Tan? We used to fight a lot because of something, right?"
"That was when you were little, now you are big," said Mother in a high tone.
"Let's talk in the living room" said Dad and stepped into the living room.
It seemed like many pairs of eyes were staring at me, but none of them let out their voices. From my lowered position I could slightly see a pair of legs approaching Mas Ardi, helping him to stand up.
Now that it was just me and Mas Adnan, everything was back in the living room. I turned her body to face me. I looked up to look into his eyes, "learn to hold your emotions, yes" I said gently and stroked his jaw.
He closed his eyes enjoying my hand. "I don't like it the most if it's mine to be taken," he said slowly.
"No one wants to take it."
"You. He wants to take you away from me" he replied loudly and opened his eyes.
"I cupped her face in my hands, "Mas, I belong to you completely, don't be afraid."
"I know that you belong to me completely, but I know his nature. If he likes something, he will try to make it until dapetin it. From childhood I was always with him so I already knew how he was inside" he explained.
"Calm down, now you go to the living room first, it's clear that the problem was just a misunderstanding" I said.
"Just like you are, too" he asked with a glare.
"Yes." Yeah." Inevitably I must be ready to meet them, even though they had seen me with an unpleasant atmosphere, but I had not properly introduced myself. But they also seem to know who I am.
We walked together with hands clasping each other, in the living room everyone was already sitting in his place. Mother was seen treating the face of Mas Ardi who was blisters due to a blow from Mas Adnan earlier.
Mas Adnan did not seem to intend to sit on the sofa, since he arrived in the living room he just stood beside the single sofa where Dad sat. I also stood beside him.
"Can you explain why you got to hit Ardi" said Dad who has now turned to me and Mas Adnan.
"It's nothing, it's just a misunderstanding" Mas Adnan replied. Dad raised his eyebrows up, apparently refusing to believe.
"Why hit me if I just misunderstood," asked Dad again.
"Male." Mas Adnan replied.
"Nan," call Mom. Mas Adnan did not reply, only turning his attention towards Mother.
"Mother who has been worrying about you, so I know that you are lying," said Mother staring hard at Mas Adnan.
"It says just misunderstand, the problem is also finished," said Mas Adnan. "I want to go home first" continued Mas Adnan.
"You have no intention of knowing your wife to your other family?" Chirps Mas Ardi.
I looked back at the words made by Mas Ardi, nervousness attacked again, I squeezed the clothes worn by Mas Adnan. Mas Adnan turned his head towards me and looked at me as if he was saying sorry.
"This is Raline my wife, when we got married, no one came" said Mas Adnan a little sarcasm.
Mother looked at me with a look of dislike, Mas Ardi smiled cunningly, Dad just stared straight ahead, while some other pairs of eyes looked at me with a gaze judging them.
I ventured to look into people's eyes one by one, "hello, greetings to everyone," I said with a sense of nervousness.
"If from the physical he is quite offset Adnan, but if the matter of treasure mah like heaven and earth," replied one of the women with a little menor makeup. After saying this he started laughing and was followed by others.
It was commonplace, if it could not compare physically, then people would start comparing in terms of treasures. I smiled at the answer.
"Yes aunty, I'm sorry that I'm not the woman you like to be." I kept a sweet smile on my face.
"When he used to say you did not dare to say, now it's fitting to be his wife Adnan has dared to answer yes," cynical the other woman.
"Yes Tan, time must be afraid anyway."
"How dare you too" he replied. I gave back my best smile.
"Yes that way, already poor do not know themselves anymore," Mother said.
"Please if you want to blaspheme or berate me, I'm immune to it all" I said solemnly. "And once again I apologize to all who are here and also to the entire extended family of Mas Adnan who are not here. I'm sorry if I don't match your expectations, I'm just a poor woman but I still have my pride" I added.
"How much is your self-esteem, not more than the price of the clothes I wear," said the woman ner make up menor earlier.
Mas Adnan had clenched his hands tightly, his face flushed with anger, from the moment I spoke, I always stroked his arm, so that he would not fall like that.
"Sorry before, want as expensive as any clothes Aunty wears, will not be able to buy my self-esteem, and also what if I am poor is indeed the soul mate Mas Adnan?" After saying that I looked into everyone's eyes, I lifted my chin a sign that I was no longer afraid of them.
"Enough," said Father. "Mending you with your wife just go home," he continued.
Without saying a word Mas Adnan pulled my hand hard towards the exit, but I stopped my steps and Mas Adnan stopped.
"This poor man paid his respects to all the rich people who were here. If you don't know when we meet in a public place, just relax. I will not rebuke or greet you, than I was humiliated in a public place back, we better pretend not to know each other, right?" I said calmly, and looked at Mom with a smile.
Mother seemed to flinch, she seemed to feel that if I insinuated her, her hands were also clenched on the side of her body that was sitting.
After saying that, I took Mas Adnan away, "let's go Mas, it doesn't seem like this is the right place for me" I said a little loudly. I did it on purpose, so they could hear it.
Mas Adnan immediately pulled his car out of the yard and immediately drove it fast. "Slow down Mas, emotions can only make you wretched," I said softly.
"After this we don't have to go to Dad's house anymore" he said loudly.
"It may be so, they are your parents, Mas" I said slowly so as not to offend him.
"A parent who does not support his child at all is happy" he replied.
I clasped his left hand, "Mas would have promised them, if the holidays would play there."
"I don't like Mom's treatment with you, how many times have I negur her, no change at all." He was still staring at the streets. "And also said that he had told other families to come," he continued.
"Next week you go to Dad's house, yes, I don't want to come if you're afraid" I said trying to calm him down. I can be blamed again on Mom if her son does not want to go to her house again.
As if remembering something, when it arrived at the red light Mas Adnan immediately turned to me, "Which, I just want if you haven't had lunch," he said in a panic.
I chuckled at him, "let's eat anter I'm looking for food first mumpung not yet home."
"I'm sorry, sorry, because my emotions have forgotten," her eyes implied worry.
"Ga papa, next time you have to be able to withstand emotions yes," persuaded me.
He nodded obediently, "sir I tried slowly."
