Ch 08 – Where's That Baby?
“Sial, why should the old woman use Death Seal!!” ayala's face was flushed red, trying to hold back the anger that was in her mind.
“It seems Anna knows, that Ayala is in your army sir?” Argus lowered his voice to talk to Carl.
“Iya, not only that, but Anna knew that I was the mastermind behind all these pursuits” Carl let out a sigh of relief.
Carl is relieved that now Anna has died, bringing all the information related to her actions, Carl is also relieved that at the end of his death Anna used the Death Seal so that Anna would be freed from being used by power-wizards like Ayala.
“Sorry to interrupt sir, but I think there is something strange with this all” Mia one of the commanders spoke
“Say” Carl gives Mia permission to speak.
“I saw Grand Wizard Anna die here, but I found no trace of the baby she was carrying, did I,? Even in the picture Makani was not seen the existence of the baby”
“Ah You are right, I also saw when Anna chanted her Magic Anna like carrying a baby, but when she lay down and ended her life, the baby did not look” Argus confirmed Mia's remark.
Carl was silent for a moment, pondering the words of his two subordinates.
“Thank you for reminding me” Carl finally realized that his main goal was to get rid of the baby, but Anna's presence had disrupted his focus.
“Ayala,!!” carl called Ayala.
Ayala turned around and looked at Carl, her face still holding in anger, as a result of her unfulfilled expectations.
Ya Ayala is a Necromancer with the Early Grand Master realm, her ability is almost the same as Makani, Ayala can awaken someone who is 2 levels above her realm namely Advanced Grand Master.
With the presence of Anna who is seriously injured, plus the recent fact that Anna has died further makes Ayala excited because she will get a powerful new toy.
But because the Death Seal that Anna had activated prevented Ayala from taking Anna's life energy, Ayala was filled with disappointment and anger.
“Control your emotions Ayala” Carl reminds Ayala with his heavy voice.

Ayala then walked in the direction of the baby's aura, along with Carl and the others behind Ayala, walking towards a large tree with lush shrubs covering the ground
As soon as she reached the tree, Ayala frowned.
“I'm sure the baby's aura leads to this tree, but why now her aura just disappears” Ayala does not understand her current state.
Carl believes in Ayala's navigation, therefore Carl does not speak what – what, Carl just pulled out his sword and then slashed the sword towards the thicket beside the tree.

Arrived – arrived the sound of a magical barrier that cracked was heard in everyone's ears.
Attention was all drawn to the thickets that began to show signs of a broken barrier, but when seen again nothing was found in the barrier.
“Yes, this is the baby's aura, I'm sure that the baby was here” Ayala is now confident in her assessment.
“Now go where the baby is,?” Argus asked Ayala to remain with her ferocious appearance.
“I don't know, her aura just disappeared in this bush” Ayala replied Argus with her indifference.
“I didn't say like that” Ayala dodged

“Argus silent !!” Carl interrupts Argus “Are you really unable to trace his whereabouts” Carl asks Ayala back.
“I can't” Ayala shook her head.
Carl was speechless thinking about some of the possibilities that were happening, things became quiet in an instant, everyone was waiting for an order from Carl.
a few moments later “We will go to Behemoth City, if it is not wrong Richard who manages the city” Carl decided to go to Behemoth City.
Because after thinking for a moment Carl could not find any other reason than that the baby had been carried by someone, and that someone should be stronger than Ayala, so Ayala's ability could not work.
Coupled with the fact that Richard was the one who supported the previous emperor, and was a close relative of the baby, and Carl could not find someone stronger than Ayala around this area other than Richard, either, so Carl's assumption is that Richard has taken the baby and taken refuge in Behemoth City.
Under the moonlight that was about to disappear Carl and his followers rushed towards Behemoth City.
The dawn soon dawned, the sun was ready to rise to the surface in place of the moon to shine the earth again turning night into day.
While the residents were doing their morning routine, the soldiers who were on standby at the defensive wall looked exhausted, as well as the adventurers who had been on guard last night for no rest.
Seeing this, Coda and Warren equal – equally set their respective troops – to take turns in charge of guarding the gate while others can rest.
In the middle of the middle – Coda arranged his troops, arrived – arrived one of his soldiers shouted.
“There are some people out of the forest !!!”

Hearing the soldiers shouting, those who were resting would not want to get back awake, while Coda and Warren focused their attention on the few who came.
“Who are you, please explain your origin !!” after the – people approached Coda shouting from the top of the wall asking for an explanation.
“Grand General Carl of the empire comes to visit and you dare to block a path like this, where your respect, immediately kneel down and call your city lord” Argus answered Coda's question.
Coda was stunned for a moment, if it was true what that person had said then for what business an imperial Great General came to a suburban town like this, but if they were just fraudsters then a big problem would be facing Coda.
The problem was that Coda could not recognize even one of them, please understand that a small-town army chief like himself had never seen either the Great Generals or the Great Commanders, either, Coda had only heard their name.
“Ayala can you scan the whole city, try to find traces of the baby's presence in this city” while Coda is thinking, Carl whispered to Ayala.
“I'll try” Ayala moves behind the line, and closes her eyes concentrating on finding a baby.
“What are you doing, quickly call the nobles of this city, our patience is limited !!” Argus is back.
Hearing Argus' words, Coda immediately contacted Sir Richard through the sound stone at his residence.
“What's Coda?” there was Richard's quiet voice across the street.
“Sorry to disturb master, but at the east gate there is now a group of people claiming to be emissaries from the empire, and one of them claiming to be Grand General Carl” Coda reported his discovery at the east gate.
“You hold them, I'll be there soon!” hearing Coda's report, Richard immediately changed his leisure attitude, and rushed towards the east gate.
“My master is coming soon, please gentlemen can be patient” Coda gave his explanation to Carl's entourage.
“Great ... very great ... Your master told us to wait, how brave the city's nobility is !!” Argus is back.

Seeing Richard's actions, Carl hardens his face, the look in his eyes becomes sharp, with high emphasis Carl asks “Where is the baby?”
