Chapter XLVII

"Dad!" Mariana's hand hung in the air.

He looked towards the direction of the voice. There stood Daniel who was astonished at his ferocity. There was also Mother Dita and Om Luke, the father of Daniel.

"Whore! You want to kill my son-in-law?" Dita's mother looks angry. He ran over to Mariana. However, the girl clutched her hand that was about to slap Mariana's cheek.

He rejects Novi's body towards Mother Dita, making the middle-aged woman forced to capture the body of her son-in-law.

His footsteps approached Luke and Daniel. "Sorry, I slap Om's son-in-law." Guilt looks at the soul, when staring in the eyes of son Om Luke. Only that man was always nice to her.

"He came making a fuss here and hit Dance." He stretched out his hands towards Om Luke, like a criminal who turned himself in to the authorities.

"We have no power to defend. Whatever Om, do what to me."

Everyone who was there was stunned to see his actions. Hysterical dance saw her brother turn himself in.

"Why should we give up? The one to blame, the lioness!" Dari pointed to Novi who was standing next to Ibu Dita.

"He came to see my sister. What harm?" His voice was getting hoarse, his chest felt tight.

"My brother was wrong, because he had feelings for Kak Dan, but their relationship ended two years ago. Why can't you let her go? Whywhy?" Dance hugged Mariana, crying in her brother's arms. His heart ached to see that beloved brother being treated unfairly.

"He is guilty. The actor!" Novi yelled from next to Dita's mother. "Capture of men's husbands. Spacer ...!"

"Novi! Shut up!" suddenly Daniel. His eyes glared furiously at his wife.

"Why? Are you mad I called your affair a whore?" Novi stood in front of Daniel, grinning his waist against her husband.

The presence of his father and mother-in-law seemed to give an injection of spirit to him. He tried to throw the blame on Daniel and Mariana.

Luke only saw their quarrel. His face was flushed red withstanding anger and shame. The two turned to look at Mariana.

"Om know, Novi's guilty. Om won't do anything to you." He stroked Mariana's head. "Om know, you're a good girl." She smiled at Mariana. The girl then looked down. His eyes began to tear full of water.

"Don't just talk! Who's cheating?"

"You want to deny? I have proof, you can't deny it anymore." The situation is back boisterous. Neighbors are increasingly coming to watch live shows.

"And are you still in touch with that woman?" ask Mother Dita.

"No."

"Yes, Mother" replied Novi and Daniel simultaneously.

"Don't you go recklessly, yeah, Novi!"

"I have proof."

"Proof your affair."

"You ...." Daniel is getting inflamed being accused by his wife. He raised his hand about to slap his wife's already swollen face. However, the loud voice of my father stopped him.

"And!"

Fendi who just came home from school was surprised to see their home page crowded with residents around their residence.

Wanted to ask the residents there, but his eyes caught the figure of his wife's body in Mariana's arms.

He was about to approach them, but his steps were blocked by Andreas and Nathan. Andreas hands Noel over to him, without a word the man leaves them.

Andreas set the pace of approaching Mariana, Dance and Om Luke.

"Sir, sorry! We'd better talk inside. Today's uproar has attracted the attention of the public" Andreas said after standing beside Mariana.

"Yes, right."

Andreas turned to look at Novi, Daniel and Ibu Dita.

"Sister Novi!" Novi who heard his name called, kept looking over.

"I want to tell Sister that Mariana is not a prostitute. She's a singer, and she's not a snatch for people's husbands either" Andreas continued.

"You who? You don't know anything about him. Don't you interfere! You're just an outsider contracted to a whore house!" angry Novi.

"I know all about Mariana. Naturally I interfered because I was Mariana's fiance."

All who heard were stunned. Unbelieving Andreas' confessions, including Mariana, Tari and Fendi.

However, Mariana's face was glowing cheerfully. He looked as if the angel Gabriel was the bearer of glad tidings.

"Ha-ha-ha! You think we believe?" Novi laughed heartily. His hatred for Mariana grew even more stirring within, penetrating into the soul.

Andreas snuck his trouser pocket. He took out a plain white ring and showed it to everyone.

Mariana, Fendi and Tari were getting excited. Andreas turned his head to look at Mariana, then nodded his head. Mariana understood the signal. He then removed the necklace hanging from his neck.

His hands trembled slightly as he removed the ring from its place. She smiled looking at Andreas, then revealed their engagement ring.

His chest flutters hummed merrily, singing long-buried longsongs.

"We've been engaged since two years ago" Andreas said.

Daniel's knees were limp, almost falling backwards upon hearing the fact that Andreas had said.
