Father Wens, who was preaching on the pulpit, occasionally glanced his eyes at the torso sitting in the middle of the row. His voice echoed in the room.
He said: "Because Jesus was not welcomed by the people of Nazareth, He went for a walk by the Sea of Galilee, and there He called His disciples. Simon and his brother Andreas are casting nets. Simon and Andrew had previously known Jesus as the Messiah. Perhaps John the son of Zebedee is among those mentioned in the Gospel of John 1:35-39 (see for yourself in the Bible) and see also the Gospel of John 1:40-42.
Apparently they were once disciples of John the Baptist. The Gospel of John 1:35-40
When Jesus saw them, immediately they were called to follow Him. Without asking, they continued to follow Jesus. Leave their jobs, their families, their households and so on. The Lord Jesus promised nothing like wages or any other form.
How amazing we are to see the faith of the disciples. They were sure that Jesus was the Messiah. John and his brother James were sons of Zebedee. It turned out that their father Zebedee was a man because he had some hired men or workers.
But they also left Zebedee and followed Jesus. Here we know that following Jesus is not easy, pleasant or comfortable, because it is said that they always walk in every place, do not drive or have a place to live.
However, in terms of spirituality, when they followed Jesus for three great years. We also find that Jesus did not call people of higher dignity or intelligence, so that later His gospel would become famous and popular, but simple people. What why? As the apostle Paul wrote: Not many of them are called wise according to their measure. See 1 Corinthians 1:26-28.
We know that Simon and his friends work as fishmongers or we call as fishermen. Because of this work, they were trained in the endurance and patience needed to call people to Jesus.
And if they were willing to follow Jesus, He would tell them a mission: You will be made fishers of men.
This story shows that, if Christ calls a person not on the basis of what is in that person, but on what Christ can do in them, if they are willing to obey Him.
In this story, too, we can highlight the simplicity of Jesus in calling His chosen ones. He simply said: "Follow Me!"
He did not say: "Follow the religion of Moses" or "Follow the religion of Abraham" or even "Follow my religion."
Jesus does not call anyone to follow a religion, or a set of rules, worship or religious ceremonies that are clearly not a source and savior.
.
his simple invitation, He also invites you and me to come directly to Himself, in relation to His person who is a resource and the perpetrator of salvation and certainty.
...Amens....
After finishing the sermon, Father Wens returned to the altar to continue the celebration ritual.
Back to Andreas. The man was still sitting pensively staring blankly ahead, recalling his time in the seminary.
San Dominggo Hokeng secondary seminary is an educational institution devoted to candidates for high school equivalent priests. It was there that Andrew lived a new life. He studied his Christian faith, and learned many things.
Despite many challenges, Andreas is able to deal with them. Father Wens became a good friend and senior to him. Always give support, if he faces difficulties.
After studying at the four-year San Dominggo secondary seminary, he went on to spiritual education for a year, then to St. Seminary. Petrus Ritapiret, located in Ritapiret, Maumere, Kab. Sikka, NTT within the territory of the diocese of Maumere for six years.
However, Andrew did not continue his education, due to an unexpected incident, and because of his erroneous thinking about the relationship between men and women. He thought that being a priest would not be close to women, but he was wrong. A Priest/Romo/Pastor/Shepherd always socialize and get along well with everyone, no matter parents, young people and children.
*One day of the unexpected, at a time when Andrew received training or a pastoral or apostolic orientation, after four years of philosophical study. He received training at a remote station still in the diocese of Maumere, kab. Sikkas.
At that time there was a spiritual event in the village. Andrew and a senior pastor led the liturgy at the event. At that time Andreas was called Brother Ande. (Frater: candidate Father/Pastor). After the show was over there was a teenage girl who had just lost her brother, coming to deliver dishes for the guests, when she saw Andreas, she felt like she was looking at her brother, so she tried to hug Andreas.
Andreas was called before, and put on trial. Being a pastor, one must have three basic concepts: Santitas, Sienia, Sanitas (3S).
Satitas is the holiness associated with religious life and spiritual life.
Sienia is an intellectual or a science.
Sanitas is physical health both soul and body.
Andreas submitted the results of his health report to the leaders, and found that he was experiencing psychiatric problems, so he failed in the third basic concept. The weight of Andreas's heart was removed from the high seminary.
Although at first the father was against Andreas' decision to enter the seminary, but when he learned that Andreas was expelled from the seminary, the father felt guilty, because he was the one who caused the household to collapse and tear down Andreas' soul.
Dad asked her to enroll at the Open University of Madawat, while working at his father's property company, until she met Rena who became the first woman in his heart.
"Um! Um!" noel's slurred voice surprised Andreas from his long daydream. Noel was crawling under the feet of the congregation sitting next to him. Noel's small hand was trying to reach Andreas' body.
Andreas immediately grabbed Noel's body, then sat on his lap. The dance came in a hurry to take back Noel, but Andreas refused.
"It's okay, let him be with me" he said with a smile. Dance nodded, then returned to her seat. Noel was not fussy, he sat quietly on Andreas' lap.
For too long dodging, Andreas was not aware that it had almost reached the end of the event.
It appears Father Wens is holding a hosti (leavened bread) and then says, "Take it and eat, this is My body that is sacrificed for you." Then Father Wens lifted the host, all the people looked at the host with love and love including Andrew, while praying in their hearts, 'My Lord and my God'.
Afterwards Father Wens held a cup of wine and said, "Take it and drink it. This is the chalice of My blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant, which was shed for you and for all for the forgiveness of sins. Do this to remember me." Then Father Wens lifted the chalice, and all the people looked at the chalice and prayed in their hearts, 'My Lord and my God'.
After that Father Wens took the host provided for the people, then walked and stood in front, halfway to the altar.
One by one the people stood up and marched to get the host (the Christians considered it the Body of Christ).
It was Andreas' turn. He took Noel with him in his carriage. Right in front of Father Wens, Andreas stretched out his hand, the right palm placed on top of the left palm with an open position.
Father Wens smilingly looked at Andreas, while glancing for a moment at Noel, comparing the resemblance of their faces. Then Father Wens took a piece of the host, placed it on the palm of Andrew's hand and said quietly, "Body of Christ."
Andreas replied, "Amen." Then put the host into his mouth.
At Noel, Father Wens made a cross mark on Noel's forehead using his thumb while saying, "Lord Jesus bless."
Then Andreas took Noel back to their seats.

sorry for this part I am still talking about Andreas' past, because in the future I will not discuss the past of Andreas.
