My Mr's. Virgin

My Mr's. Virgin
Chapter XXXV

Back to Mariana

Mariana wiped her tears. The clear pearl had long been clad in the eye pelupuk. Novi's recognition of her pregnancy yesterday still ringing in the ears.

"Dad!" The voice surprised Mariana. She's looking. Smilingly.

"Hm! Sit down!" take it to Daniel. Mariana asked him to meet. Even though he had an answer, he still wanted certainty.

Daniel anchored his body beside Mariana. They're old-sighted. No one speaks, only their hearts speak.

A gust of sea bosom gently caressed the faces of the two. The chirping of birds singing a song of longing, along with the pounding of the waves slapping the beach, melodious singing breaks the silence.

Daniel's hand gently stroked Mariana's head. The girl smiled, then turned her gaze to stare at the endless blue ocean, and sky.

"Maybe the heart is like an unpredictable sky. Not knowing when it's cloudy and the rain is coming, not knowing if the rainbow is waiting behind the dark. Love is like that too. Not knowing when a heart will be inhabited by someone. I don't know if I'm happy or sad" he said. Daniel silent.

"I quote that verse from a writer, Mahir Pradana," he continued.

Mariana turned back to look at Daniel, "I love you as lightly as when I'm breathing, but it's hard to forget you as it is when I hold my breath."

A smile was on Daniel's lips. His eyes looked at Mariana. Mariana is not a poetic girl. She's a jolly, hyperactive girl, and tends to be aggressive. However, why did today turn melancholy anyway?

Daniel extended his hand tightly to Mariana's hand, wanting to say that 'I love you more than anything, even if the world hates you, but I will remain here with you until the day I am picked up by the Divine.'

Mariana also clasped Daniel's hand tightly, it was difficult for him to let go of the man. His love is only for Daniel. However, it was heartened to recite a word that might end their story.

"This relationship cannot continue because it brings neither happiness for me nor for you. So, we better get here." He let go of his grasp.

"What does that mean?" ask Daniel gently.

"Let's break up!"

Daniel shook his head. "No! Why suddenly ask to break up? We're not fighting. No wind, no storm. You're kidding me, aren't you?" He again grabbed Mariana's hand, but was gently pushed aside by the girl. Daniel terrace. Heartache.

"No! I'm serious." He looked back to the front, looking at the flock of birds that were hunting their prey.

"But why? We've been fighting until now, just one step away we'll be together."

"When? I'm tired, Dan? I'm tired."

"So fast have you given up?"

"Yes, there's no point in me fighting and surviving. Until whenever your family will never bless our relationship. So better, let's just end it."

"No Ana! If you don't like it here, we go somewhere else. A place no one knows us. Far from my family." Couldn't feel like he had to part with Mariana.

He stood up, and sat in front of Mariana. Grabbing his hand and then holding it tight.

"Ana, I can't afford to lose you. I love you, Ana." He kissed Mariana's hand. His tears are spilling. Mariana was crying.

The cloudy sky, as if also dissolved in sadness, reminiscing about the love that has been intertwined for many years. However, it must end in separation, separating two people who love each other.

"We're leaving, huh? Get the fuck out of here. Leave everything!" daniel Pinta.

"You running again? To where? We tried, but we failed, didn't we?"

"And wherever we go, things will never be the same. This heart has been withered by the heat of the flames of anger and jealousy by your dishonesty."

"What do you mean, Ana? I never lied to you."

Mariana looked Daniel in the eyes looking for honesty there. No lies found implicit.

"Have you ever fucked Novi?" The question posed by Mariana felt like it had been slapped. Daniel's face flushed.

Wanting to deny, but it seems like Mariana has found out the truth. He nodded faintly. Drooping down, regretting his mistake.

"Se ... times, but I accidentally, Ana."

Mariana's tears can't be contained anymore. The clear pearls back into the river soaked his cheeks. His heart ached hearing Daniel's confession.

Daniel embraces Mariana's body, taking her into his arms. That soft mess broke Daniel's heart.

"I don't know how it happened to fuck Novi. That day, I was drunk. By the time I realized, Novi was already in my room without a thread."

"You're responsible, Dan. Marry her!" pinta Mariana on the sidelines.

"No! That's not gonna happen." Mariana broke free from Daniel's embrace.

"Don't ignore an innocent child. Don't you add sin by killing the boy."

"What does that mean?" ask Daniel.

"We can't break back anymore. We can't ignore this. Be the man I am proud of. Be responsible for what you do!"

"May ...."

"Nothing I regret about this relationship." Mariana cupped Daniel's face.

"Knowing you and loving you is a wonderful gift. Thank you for being present in my life, introducing me to love and hurt. Accept what it is. Thanks for everything.

Farewell is not sorrow, even if it should separate us. It's heavy, but believe me I feel it too."

Daniel held his body in his arms. They cry together.

"Ana, I don't want to be apart." Mariana shook her head.

"Treat Novi well. Maybe it's the destiny we have to live. I love you too, Dan." Mariana let go of their embrace.

"It's got a Novi." Mariana handed over the testpack Novi gave yesterday in Daniel's hands.

"It's almost two months old." Daniel's aghast. Not believing the real truth.

Mariana then stood up, passing away Daniel and past memories, carrying together a piece of a wounded heart.

Footsteps keep swinging. Divorce for the sake of tears, accompanied him along the path after step in pursuit of another happiness that might await him there.

'Goodbye, Daniel. Goodbye, my beloved."
