My Little Queen's

My Little Queen's
Chapter.33 Lady Pann and Diana

"Look..!

"Look..!"

Princess Artha knocked on the wooden door that looked worn, the house of the Pann family looked far from decent, the house made of wood was already anchored here and there. Even one of the windows has been broken and only covered with cloth.

There was no answer from inside the house that looked lonely. Princess Artha knocked on the door again.

"Look..!

"Look..!"

There were small steps from inside the house, he walked towards the door.

"Creek...!

The face of a little girl about seven years old peeked out from the door that was slightly opened. He just kept quiet while watching Artha and Natalie's daughter smile at him.

" Hey little sister. Is your mother around?"

princess Artha said kindly as she waved her hand at the little girl.

The little girl remained silent, she was still observing the two girls in front of her with frightened and probing gazes.

"Me, I'm Natalie, your sister Anne's friend." this time it was Natalie who greeted the little girl kindly.

The little girl slightly flinched as Natalie mentioned the name of Miss Anne. Then he closed the door and ran inside. Princess Artha and Natalie looked at each other, thinking the little girl was afraid of them and would not open the door.

When princess Artha and Natalie were just about to turn away, suddenly the door was reopened by the little girl.

"Mom's word, you can enter" he said with both of his big eyes looking at the two with a hint of fear. His clothes look shabby and torn in some parts, as well as the state of his body is thin and not taken care of. Her blond hair looks tangled.

Princess Artha felt very sad to see the situation inside the house, there was a long dusty old wooden chair in the living room. Worn furniture was placed irregularly on the dining table where one of his legs was broken and stamped with a stone.

A fairly pungent smell came from the direction of the room as they entered the room occupied by Madame Pann.

A horrible sight appeared before them, a woman rolled weakly on a wooden cot with a mattress that was already very thin and torn in some parts.

His body was extremely thin and weak, his pale face and sunken eyes were already like a living skull. Princess Artha looked at the woman closely, her age was around her fifties but due to her extremely thin body, she looked much older than her age.

" Are you Anne's friend?" said the woman slowly.

"I.iya Ms. Pann." replied Natalie.

"Where's Anne? is he not coming with you? uhuk..!" he said while coughing.

"Ah, the condition of this room must have made Mrs Pann affected by pneumonia." murmured princess Artha in heart as she observed the condition of the room where Madam Pann was.

"Sorry madam, Anne is doing a lot of work at the palace. So he sent us to see you" said princess Artha.

"That kid, always makes me miserable. When I was dying like this she never saw me and Diana." Madame Pann started to look sad, but there were no tears in her tender pelupu, she said, maybe the tears have dried up because they cry too often.

"Is Diana your youngest child, madam?" asked Princess Artha, she was a bit surprised to see the difference in age of the two. Miss Anne was already in her almost thirties very far compared to Diana who had not even turned ten years old.

Mrs Pann did not immediately answer, she just turned her face up, looking far through the roof of her house that was worn out and leaked.

"Yes, Diana was the youngest child for me." he said. Miss Pann's reply made Princess Artha think for a moment.

"Diana, do you want to buy sugar - sugar!" princess Artha exclaimed as she crouched down towards Diana and smiled sweetly.

Diana looked towards her mother, no sign of prohibition from mistress Pann. The little girl nodded timidly.

"This, take. Buy sugar and sugar and cake for you at the store at the end of the alley." said Princess Artha while giving some silver coins to Diana. The little girl looked very happy, she took the money and ran towards the door. Then he turned around for a moment staring at princess Artha.

Princess Artha was delighted to see Diana smiling at him. After that princess Artha returned to look to mistress Pann.

"I'm sorry Mrs Pann when I say presumptuous. Is Diana Miss Anne's son?" the question of Artha's sudden daughter made both Pann and Natalie surprised.

A moment later Madame Pann began to sob, her sunken eyes slightly watery. His cry seemed to explode, releasing all the suffering he had experienced so far.

"That damned man!! if Anne hadn't been tempted by that evil man, our lives wouldn't have been like this!" raung.

Princess Artha and Natalie are so sorry to see Miss Pann. But they can't do anything.

Madam Pann is starting to control herself. He begins to tell her about his past and that of Miss Anne. Mrs Pann and her husband used to be the owners of a bakery. They sell bread, cakes and cookies, although not a large store but their store is never empty of buyers. Until finally a customer who often came to their store began to steal the heart of Miss Anne, finally they both married when Miss Anne was pregnant with Diana.

Their marriage was always filled with quarrels, as it turned out that the man was a drunkard and a gambler, he also liked to hit Miss Anne when she was drunk or angry. Until finally when Miss Anne was pregnant old, the store they had had to let go was taken by the bookies. Because the store that was once their home was already made a bet by the husband of Miss Anne at the gambling table.

At the same time, the husband of Madame Pann suffered a heart attack and eventually died due to thinking about the fate of those who were lost. Eventually, Miss Anne and Miss Pann moved to the suburbs and settled here until Diana was born.

Five years ago Miss Anne started working in the palace kitchen when someone from the palace knew her ability in cooking cakes and bread. They asked her to work for a decent salary, but Miss Anne could not come to see Pann and Diana often, she would send them some money. Until the middle of this year Miss Anne never send money again, even though it has been almost a year Mrs Pann's health is declining until it has been a few months can not wake up again.

"So Miss Anne hasn't heard from you since half a year ago?" ask princess Artha, this is so strange, thought princess Artha.

"I actually received a letter from someone about two months ago. But I don't understand what that means." he then reached something out of disgrace under his pillow. It was a letter from Miss Anne.

"I've sent some money through j, did the money arrive?I'll be right back and bring enough money, so wait a minute."

Princess Artha read the letter and thought for a moment, she folded the paper again and handed it to Madame Pann.

"I'll show Miss Anne if we meet later" princess Artha smiled.

"Eh, ma'am, may I see your feet? like there's something there." said princess Artha, she noticed a lot of flies crowding the cloth covering the legs of mistress Pann.

"Don't open it!!" exclaim madam Pann. Princess Artha retracted her hand that was about to open the cloth.

"Sorry miss. But you won't be able to see my rotting feet" she said.

"How can it be like this, madam?" ask princess Artha curiously.

"I was suffering from a sugar disease, one day in the spring I tried to fix the broken window of our house, but I fell down my leg and became numb and now immobile. While the wound on my ankle is rotting because it's only treated for it." Mrs Pann explained.

"God, what a pity the fate of Madame Pann and Diana." thought princess Artha.

Princess Artha and Natalie look at each other, Natalie tells princess Artha that they have been outside for too long and must return soon.

"Trap.trap..!"

There was the sound of Diana's small footsteps returning from the store. He looks clean with sugar in his mouth and a bag of snacks that he under with the tip of his shirt.

"Mother, look at me buying a lot of food!" he was happy to show what he was carrying.

Princess Artha and Natalie looked at Diana with amazement, the little girl looked so happy with some of the little food, life had been very difficult all this time.

"Madam, we have to get back, here's a little food and some money for you. I have a friend who can treat your illness, I'll send him here later and there's an acquaintance of mine who can also help you fix your broken window." said Princess Artha while handing the package they brought earlier to Madame Pann.

Madam Pann smiled as she accepted the parcel, she was very grateful for what Princess Artha gave her.

"Thank you, miss." she said.

"Sorry we've been talking for a long time, but I don't know your name yet, miss?"ask Madame Pann as the two are about to leave.

"Artha call me that" said princess Artha with a smile and hurried away.

"Artha! I've heard that name, but where?" muttered madam Pann, but she thought she was immediately distracted by the carefree chatter of Diana who boasted of the food she brought.
