25. Risks

Life is like walking on thin ice?

Max was pondering Seo Woon's words earlier. The puff of smoke from the cup containing the coffee in front of him had disappeared. That means he had been thinking long enough until the hot coffee became cold.

He sank into his own thoughts that were faded until he did not realize that Yana was walking closer to him.

"Max.." Yana patted Max's shoulder.

"Why not wake me up? I'll sleep here.." She sat down next to Max. His eyes were still sluggish from sleepiness.

"Is it better to sleep here than go home in the middle of the night?" Alibi Max's.

Yana's heart was empty for a moment. Max's departure somehow made his heart ache. But this is the best solution. It's impossible to show himself in front of Max's friends. Max will have trouble with this fact.
