Emma whimpering in Vincent's arms. Vincent sighed and patted his head gently.

After giving the deadly warning, William immediately leaves the scene leaving Emma in fear. He knew that the man would definitely come back and take her away with him. No matter how hard he tried to be tough on William, he knew him well. After all she was her husband and the man she loved with all her heart.

The man who was crazy about her ....

"Don't worry he won't be able to do anything. I'm not gonna let him take you away from me"

Vincent gently whispered in his ear while he sobbed.

"I-I'm afraid of V"

Emma tightened her grip around her muscular back, making Vincent worry about the unfortunate thing. Although he tried his best to calm her down, yet deep down, he himself was being overwhelmed with anger.

Vincent was well aware that William would definitely use one of his cunning tricks as this type of game was his forte. As his former best friend, he knew him very well. William is not only crazy but can also cross the line for his loved ones. And Emma is not only his wife but also the love of his life. He had killed many people in the past and now he could become even more brutal just to get it back. Yeah, Vincent knows who Venom is. He was only fooling everyone because he already knew everything before. Vincent instantly understands that the leader of this deadly gang is none other than William Knight when he finds out about this gang for the first time.

The CIA Headquarters

Inside the Head's office.

"Sir, Black Lucifer is back in town. They've robbed about hundreds of banks in New York, Chicago and Austin and now they're headed to San Francisco for their new mission"

Dave said this to Vincent, his voice sounding terrified. Vincent raised his eyebrows and looked at him sharply.

"Agent 004, you have to stop these bedbugs before they even reach their destination. Agent 007 will accompany you on this mission. I'll go over the details of the mission with Agent 007. Any other information?"

Dave swallowed the heavy lump that had formed in his throat before answering him.

"Sir, I've heard about a new gang that's been too effective lately in Southeastern Italy"

Vincent frowned. "Who's their name?"

"The Scorpions's. I have heard that although still beginners, they plan and perform their moves like a professional. Recently they have robbed about two thousand banks and killed all Italian secret agents, police, and even spies. Everyone was surprised how they recognized them. The state intelligence agency has shared the latest information about this gang. The gang is only active at night but performs its movements secretly and fatally. They are very bloodthirsty like vampires because they will kill their enemies in the most inhumane and merciless way. But no one has ever seen either the gang member or the gang leader. But the police finally managed to get the latest information about the gang leader that he was a man. Although people had never seen him, but they referred to him as 'Machiavellian Satan' or simply as 'The Venom' because he would design his plans in a very clever and secret way, he said, but it will execute him in a very cruel way."

Vincent was silent after hearing this. His hands began to tremble in fear. All the blood flowed from his face while his heart descended to the bottom. He stood up from his chair and turned around. Vincent walked towards the glass window with trembling legs as he stared at the city lights with sparkling eyes.

His lips were shaking open and only three words came out of his lips, leaving Dave perplexed to see his frightened and panicked Boss.

Since that day Vincent has tried his hardest to find William, but he always comes home empty-handed and hope dashed. She even hid this fact from Emma because she didn't want Emma to know about it.

No one knows about him but him. That was why he never let Emma go anywhere without her protection because Vincent had delegated around ten agents to capture Venom, but all of them were killed or lost. Vincent is very sure that William is the mastermind behind all this because no one in the underworld has such a sharp and violent brain except for him. That's why she never let Emma go anywhere without her protection because even though William isn't visible to everyone, yet still, she's always eyeing Emma. And now that's what happened, which always scared him.

Now there's no way William will stop without taking Emma back from him.

Vincent let go of his embrace and saw the disheveled state of the poor girl. She slowly cupped her cheeks and wiped away her tears.

"Emma, you have to be strong. You can't be ruined like this"

She spoke softly while caressing her cheeks.

"V, I'm not afraid of myself. I'm afraid for you and our parents. William had previously threatened me to marry him otherwise he would have killed my parents. But this time he went crazy. He had warned me back then but now he would definitely kill them"

Emma cried helplessly. Vincent told her to sit on the bed because she was so scared. He then gave her some water to drink. He quickly swallowed it.

"Emma, you calm yourself first. Hmm?"

He patted Emma's head gently. Slowly the hiccups subside. Vincent then sighed and made Emma look at him.

"Now listen to me carefully"

Valentino's family is enjoying a quiet dinner. The only sound heard in the large hall was the clink of spoons and forks hitting the plate.

Mr and Mrs Valentino eat their food in peace. Madame Valentino occasionally glared at Emma, but Mr. Valentino did not look at her, even for once, which made Emma even more upset that this was the first time she had been cold to him.

Vincent's parents always treated Emma like their own child and loved her very much. Vincent is the only boy and they will do anything for him. When they find out that Vincent loves Emma very much, they are very happy and give all their love for her. Vincent came to a halt halfway through the street when his eyes fell on Detective Evans who was sitting on the sofa looking at him with a cold gaze.

"What are you doing here, Daniel?"

Vincent looked at him with a sharp look. Daniel stood up and greeted him.

"I came here to see Mr. Lucas Valentino's"

 "I'm Mr. Lucas Valentino"

Daniel turned his eyes from Vincent to Lucas. He then walked towards her.

"We're sorry, sir, but we've received orders to arrest your son for for forcibly marrying and holding Mr.'s wife hostage. William Knight." - William Knight."

He spoke with a serious tone. The eyes of Lucas and Vincent were shocked as soon as they heard it.

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!!! HOW DARE YOU TALK NONSENSE ABOUT MY SON!!! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?"

Lucas shouted furiously while Vincent clenched his jaws furiously. Madam Valentino and Emma ran into the living room as soon as they heard the commotion.

THE P.O.V. Emma

I was having dinner quietly when I heard Dad's raging voice. I looked at Mom in shock.

"What happened?", he asked me.

"We should check it out ma'am" With that I stood up and immediately rushed towards the living room.

"WAIT FOR EMMA, DON'T GO!"

Mom screamed from behind, but I chose to ignore her words because my first priority was to see V safe and sound, I ran towards the living room only to see Dad yelling at the police who were staring at him blankly. I turned my eyes to V. He stopped Dad from scolding the cop.

"Calm down, let me talk to him" Vincent spoke softly while holding his father's hand.

"NO! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW!"

Lucas yelled as he grabbed Vincent's hand and continued to shout at the officer.

"Oh my God!", I hurried over to them and looked towards V.

"What's V?"

My breath was wheezing as soon as I heard the officer call out to me. I turned around quickly and looked at him.

"I'm Emma Valentino not Emma Knight" I snapped at her.

"Emma, come upstairs now"

I looked back only to see Vincent looking at me sharply.

"But V, what did he say?"

"I'm telling you the truth, ma'am, you don't have to be afraid anymore. We're here to protect you and take you to your husband"

I became shocked and frightened after hearing his words. I was just about to reply when Mom directly snapped at him which jolted me.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO VINCENT? WHAT'S HE SAYING?"

Father immediately called the guards and ordered them to expel him from here. Vincent was surprised and immediately shouted.

"NO, DADDY CAN'T DO THIS. DANIEL IS AN OFFICER, DAD!"

His name is Daniel. I looked at him just to see him grinning at Vincent.

"Well, I'm glad you know how to behave with a cop but it's a pity you don't act like a Valentino" Daniel mocked.

"SILENCE!! WHA-"

"EMMA!! GO UPSTAIRS!!"

I gasped as Vincent shouted furiously. He turned around and grabbed my right arm. He then started dragging me up but Daniel immediately grabbed hold of my left wrist and pulled me back.

 

"You can't take him"

We both turned around. I glared at him and touched his hand.

"Who decided this? Who told you this shit? I'm fine and happy here. He is my husband. Vincent Valentino is my husband, not William Knight.

"Are you sure about that?"

Suddenly the door opened. I looked back only to see the Devil standing right at the entrance. He looked at me and smiled. I looked at him with a look of disgust.

William went inside along with his minions, Noah Miller and Antonio Romano. I looked at Antonio but he didn't look at me. She tried to avoid my gaze but Noah glared at me happily.

"How are you, my dear?"

William spoke in a gentle tone that made my blood boil in anger.

"Now who are you Sir?", Father spat with gritted teeth, William raised his left eyebrow and poked his cheek with his tongue, causing a small bump on his right cheek.

"I thought Dad knew me?" William said in a mocking tone. Dad glared at him and growled.

"Why do I know you?"

"Because we are the ones who are eager to make a deal with you, Mr. Valentino," Noah replied with a smug grin at me.

Father furrowed his brows in confusion, yet his eyes widened so noticeably.

"Mr Miller?"

Noah nodded with a smile.

"It is sad that we met under such unpleasant circumstances, but still it is nice to meet you, Mr. Valentino. Meet my business partner, William Knight, CEO of Knight Empire"

I looked at Noah but I was surprised when Dad smiled and shook hands with William. Vincent was also surprised by his reaction, but William grinned at him. This is definitely not a good sign.

"I'm sorry Mr. Knight and Mr. Miller, but Mr. Knight, what are you saying? Emma is my daughter's wife.

William nodded at her words before he spoke in his deep hoarse voice.

"Indeed, she's your son's wife now, but she's married to me. We're not even divorced yet and your son has married my wife, which is totally illegal, isn't it, Mr Valentino?"

William grinned while the father looked at him in shock. Vincent walked up to her and grabbed her by the collar.

"CLOSE YOUR MOUTH, I'M SICK OF YOUR BULLSHIT NOW!! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW-"

"SILLY VINCENT!!"

Dad shouted. We were all stunned to hear his loud growl. Vincent looked at him in disbelief.

"But Dad, he's-"

Father raised both his hands into the air which made Vincent instantly speechless. He then turned his eyes to me and looked at me firmly.

"Emma, what did Lord Knights say? Is that true? Are you married to him?"

I looked at her with teary eyes because she doubted me in front of everyone.

"Dad, allow me to explain"

Vincent tried to defend me, but Dad cut him off in the middle of the road.

"So, she's married, right?"He spoke while glaring at the two of us.

"Dad, let me explain"

"WHAT THE HELL IS VINCENT? YOU MARRIED A GIRL WHO'S MARRIED TO SOMEONE ELSE!"

Mom screamed from behind to surprise me. I shook my head in denial because the two of them didn't even allow me to explain my part.

"MOTHER, LET US EXPLAIN!", Vincent shouted back. "NO NEED, YOU LIED TO US!! YOU TWO ARE HIDING SUCH A BIG FACT FROM US!"

I bit my lower lip to refrain from crying as Father and Mother started glaring at me with hatred and disgust.

"Ah, please stop your family drama. Officer, thank you for working together. I'm going to leave now. Emma, come here"

William said in a dull tone. He then looked at me and started to approach me, but the V immediately approached me. I hid behind his back and hugged his coat tightly.

"Don't.you..."

"VINCENT! STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!!" Dad scolded her loudly while clutching her arm but he violently jerked her and shouted with his hoarse voice.

"NO WAY!!! I WON'T LET ANYONE TOUCH MY WIFE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. HE'S MINE, OKAY?"

I was shaken when Vincent went berserk like a bull. He was flaming and his face was flushed with anger. William looked at her and then turned his gaze towards Daniel. Daniel nodded at him and suddenly many officers rushed into the hall and restrained Vincent.

"NO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? RELEASE MY SON!!!" the mother shouted to William but he kept a flat face to all the requests and cries of the mother.

"Look, Mr. Valentino, your son has gone mad. But if you return my wife, I'll leave your son" William chuckled and looked at me. He's too cruel.

"NO, I WON'T GO WITH YOU!!", I shouted while gripping Vincent's coat tightly.

"CLOSE YOUR MOUTH, YOU FUCKING PE*ACCUR!! LEAVE ME AND MY SON ALONE AND LEAVE MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW!!!"

My mother was furious on my face while pushing me away from her. I was shocked after hearing her cruel words. My grip slowly loosened as I looked at him in disbelief.

"No, Emma. Go back"

Vincent panicked as he thrashed from the tight grip of the two men. I looked at William. He stretched out his hand to me and smiled.

"Come on, come here"

"No Emma, don't do this"

Slowly I walked towards William while V kept shouting like a madman. I stood in front of him. William smiled and pulled me into his arms while hugging me tightly.

"Alright sir, I have to go now" Daniel said. William nodded while putting his chin on my head. He then released his embrace and cupped my face to look into her eyes. I glared at him. He laughed and rubbed his nose with my nose.

"Should we go Emma?"

He then held my hand and grinned at V. After that he linked his fingers with mine and started walking outside. I turned around and looked at Vincent dejectedly. The two of us then looked into each other's eyes filled with tears.

But then...

Vincent smirked at me. I grinned and turned around.

"Let's start the game, William"
