My Destiny You

My Destiny You
The Part 29

"So if you are tired of sitting down immediately rest yes. Aish stay in the room first," said Aish to Abi who was relaxing in his room while reading a book as he drove Geo there.

Abi Zayid nodded with a small smile engraved on his face. The sturdy face that had begun to wrinkle looked tired and a lot of thoughts. "Begging Aunt to make you a drink, son," asked Aish.

"What does Miss Geo want to drink?"

"What is Bi, which is not nicotine." Geo answered, his eyes rolling into the room.

In the room were two bookshelves containing thick books. And a bookcase containing science books. The room with the white accent of ash was soothing. Silent, not noisy, is perfect for resting a tired soul.

"What pain?" Geo asked pleasantries after Aish left them. Now there were only the two of them in the six-by-four-meter room.

"It's the age factor" he answered, closing the book. And invite Geo to sit on the small sofa that is there.

"When not here, a lot of busy work?"

"Not busy Bi, just don't want to take Abi and make you get in trouble again." Sahut Geo with eyes fixed on a family photo.

In the photo there is a girl who is smiling cheerfully flanked by her father and mother. He had never seen Aish smile that much, a smile that might have been long gone. Given how traumatized Aish with the departure of the ummi.

Abi Zayid smiled warmly at Geo, then said followed by a small ruckus. "The presence of problems indicates that we are still alive. We haven't reached the finish line yet, because there's still a long, winding journey we have to go through. Along that road there will be many small pebbles. Sometimes there will also be large chunks that block our pace. Makes us have to try harder to get through it. The choice is two, go forward or back."

Geo did not chim in, in his mind justifying Abi Zayid's words. Like him who can still breathe and given the opportunity to continue life because his task in this world has not been completed. Although he wants it, it may be better to die, than to be tormented by the feelings of longing and heartbreak that dominate.

For a moment the room was quiet.

Abi Zayid replied silently, waiting for what the young man beside him wanted to say.

"Let me take the responsibility of looking after Abi's daughter. I may not be able to promise her love. But I will protect him" Geo said seriously.

When he saw the woman being teased like that, he thought of marrying Aish. That way he can protect his honor, however Aish experiences this hard thing because of him.

"Do you still feel guilty?"

Geo silently did not reply, the answer was yes. He felt guilty for what he did not do. Geo could ignore the unkind views of the people on him. But not with Aish who is considered to be a cheap and despicable woman.

"Sir Geo," Abi Zayid stared in the shade at Geo.

"Yes Abi."

"Married it to perfect half the religion. Living life with a partner and joy. Loving each other, filling each other, strengthening each other and reminding each other in terms of kindness. To be together to reach his heaven."

Abi Zayid paused for a moment, "there will be many obstacles in the household. If you ask Aish just to pay for the guilt. Abi is worried that you will be daunted when faced with the wedding storm. So Abi can't give Aish to you for that reason."

Again Geo was made silent. Wanting to protect Aish from the ugly eyes of the people but she can't guarantee being able to love the woman later.

"Stop feeling guilty, Abi's daughter is fine. He's a strong boy" Abi Zayid assured.

Geo was very sure, Abi Zayid certainly did not know that Aish was often harassed with words and treated lowly.
