CHAPTER 25
Hengky Marco finally returned after a week he was in England, the man of course went straight to his daughter's room. He knew what happened when he left because he had sent people to look after his daughter for a week. He also now knows that Amora works as a chef at Novotel. It was only right when he teamed up with Dion Pranadja and stopped by his restaurant. Novotel's pride chef couldn't meet him. So the delicacy he ate at the Novotel was his daughter's own cuisine. Amora lied to him.
"Amor papa is back. Come out.." said Hengky.
Amora was surprised to hear her father's voice, she opened the door of her room and of course rushed straight into her father's arms. Hengky looked at his daughter from top to bottom.
"Are you okay, baby?" ask Hengky.
Amora nodded. "Why didn't you call me abroad, you know how worried Amor is. Papa's healthy, right?" amora.
"I should have said it was Amor, all this week I knew something was happening to you. Don't you think, papa doesn't know. You have to explain everything including your lies all along. Papa wait another hour in papa's study." said Hengky while leaving his daughter.
Amora just stared at her father's back with a surprised look. What his father knew, his face was very flat. It was time for her to be honest about everything and it was time for Amora to be humbled by it.
An hour later...
Amora with weak steps towards her father's study. He knocked on the door and found that his father was ready to rebuke him with a thousand questions and the gaze gave Amora goosebumps.
"Sit.." - Hengky's orders.
Amora followed her father's wishes and sat right in front of him.
"Amor's sorry." that's what Amora first said.
"Sorry for what?" ask Hengky.
"Papa must have known if Amor worked as a chef, right? Amor apologized pa, it was not Amor's intention to lie to papa. But Amor did want to do it before taking over the company and the hotel" Amora replied.
Hengky still did not budge, he just stared at his favorite daughter.
"Do you know if I was kidnapped?" ask Amora. This time Hengky was wide-eyed, he did not know about the kidnapping.
"What do you mean Amor? Who would dare kidnap you?" ask Hengky.
Amora smile. "It turns out the paid man Papa's not smart to look after Amor. A day after leaving for England, Amor was kidnapped and taken to the city of Medan. The culprit of course papa knows, because this kidnapping is related to papa's business. Amor was kidnapped by Steven." replied Amora.
Hengky while standing up quickly, his face was extremely loud and frightening. "How dare that man kidnap my daughter, you're okay, right?" asked Hengky while researching Amora's body.
Amora looked sad. "So it's true that you knew him, what happened to you until Amor became his victim?" ask Amora.
Amora shakes. "That's not the answer Amor wanted from papa. Amor returned because he was saved by Dion. But of course we helped his brother Steven. Because Stenly doesn't want her sister's reputation to be tarnished." said Amora. "But I just want to know why he did that pa, Steven said papa hid Amor from him. He said he wanted to marry Amor because he liked me.
"Based on a mad man, I won't let my daughter fall into the hands of that arrogant man. Listen to Papa Amor, Steven has nothing to do with you at all. Papa cooperated with him in the gold mining in Medan. At the moment, we have not reached an agreement on a new mining site there because Steven is asking for a very high price. Papa's been avoiding it for a few months and papa of course doesn't want you involved. But he was brave enough to find information about you and kidnap you. Papa will teach him a lesson." replied Hengky.
"Amor didn't extend the matter at the police station, because Amor knew something was going on between you. Steven also treated Amor well. But Amor didn't want to marry him pa, the man was harder than papa." Amora said to make Hengky surprised.
Hengky laughs. "So papa is this hard you think?" tanyakanya.
Amora looked down, she was afraid her father was angry now.
"Amor, you know how much I love you. I want the best for my daughter, being a chef is something I hate. Because every time I see you cooking, I'm going to feel excruciating pain. You know why? That's because I'm always reminded of your mom, the person I love the most in this world, the woman who reneged on her promise to live an aging life with me. He left us without saying anything. That's why I don't want to remember your mama for you Amor." said Hengky, not feeling his tears dripping. "But you're silent being the chef at Novotel. You didn't obey my words." he continued.
Amora cried when she heard her father's words. So this is the reason why he can't be a chef. Amora hugged her father while crying.
"I'm sorry Amor pa, sorry if what I did reminded papa of mama. Amor doesn't know that papa feels that way. But Amor really likes to cook. Amor didn't mean to hurt papa." replied Amora.
Hengky stroked his daughter's back. "The wrong father, the one who can't forget your mother Amor." replied Hengky.
A few minutes they were silent, silence in the room.
"Papa's gonna teach Steven a lesson, you take care of your business with Dion. Oh yes, Novotel is now working with us. You'll handle it Amor. Papa hopes you'll take over the company and the hotel. Papa's getting old, papa needs you. Get out of Novotel, you can be our hotel chef. But on the condition that you can share your time as the new CEO in the Sheraton group later." said Hengky.
Amora was shocked by her father's words. He can't say what now. The cooperation between Dion and his father made Dion still angry now. He was very confused as to what to answer.
"Don't argue, tomorrow I'll introduce you to the public. Be ready to be Sheraton CEO. Now rest well. Papa is also tired." said Hengky again while leaving Amora.
