Don't Be Afraid

A few minutes passed, only silence filled the spacious room. Neither Reygan nor Naina spoke.

Naina still blinked her eyes in the middle of the sleeping lights. He turned his back to Reygan, but the man's hands hugged his stomach possessively. He thinks Reygan's asleep.

Secretly the woman enjoyed Reygan's warm embrace. A hug she had missed so much all along.

Naina was confused by her feelings. He hates and misses Reygan at the same time. Kala remembered what Reygan had done first, making his anger peak. But when Reygan was far away from him, he could not at all stem his longing.

"What are you thinking hmm?" suddenly Reygan's heavy voice rang out making Naina hurriedly close her eyes.

Reygan smiled, grabbing Naina's face to face her, "I know you haven't slept."

Naina opens her eyes. That sharp look still stuck.

"Don't look at me like that. You're scaring me." said Reygan, unceasingly kissing Naina's eyes.

Naina wants to rebel about Reygan's actions. But as soon as Reygan's lips gently touched her eyelids, her anger seemed to be extinguished. His heart was beating faster due to that touch.

"I'm sorry that I didn't find you guys so quickly" the man said, tucking his hair behind his ear.

Naina's consciousness returned, she immediately turned her gaze in another direction.

"No papa. Even I didn't expect you to find us." she replied sniffily.

Reygan was not angry at those words, she still treated Naina gently.

"You must have trouble taking care of Steve and Giselle" the man said.

"Not really. Steve's grown up and he's always understood me. And Giselle, I enjoyed my solitude in taking care of her without your help in the least!" Naina doesn't want to lose.

"But you miss me." Reygan is very confident in making Naina tick.

"Don't be too confident. I never miss you once!" lambasted.

Reygan smiled, "Don't dodge it anymore dear. Giselle told me everything."

"Do you believe in the talk of children? Don't be a fool Reygan, what can't a kid as small as Giselle say."

"Take me stupid. And I know Giselle's a smart kid because of your upbringing. He won't say anything no." Reygan won't lose either.

Naina paused, rolling her eyeballs. "As far as you are!"

Giselle's been telling me a lot all afternoon. Naina shows us photos of Reygan as her real father. Naina said that Reygan was so busy working that he did not have time to visit them. And never once did Naina make Reygan look bad in the little girl's memory.

This time, Naina could not fight anymore. Giselle has revealed all her secrets to Reygan. And all of that proves that he still clearly harbors feelings for Reygan.

"Have, don't think too much. You better sleep" Reygan said and drowned Naina's face in her arms.

As morning approached, Naina opened her eyes due to the dazzling reflection of the morning sun. Gather his consciousness and browse through the already empty rooms. Reygan is no longer there.

Naina remembers everything that happened in one day yesterday. His heart pounded as he imagined something beyond his expectations. She thought Reygan was taking her kids away.

Naina rushes up, then runs into Giselle and Steve's room. The woman panicked, as her two children were not in their rooms.

The fear is getting bigger. "Giselle, Steve. You're where Nak is." his voice trembled while tracing the entire room on the second floor. When Naina came down the stairs, her tears were no longer contained.

"Darling.. Don't stay in Mama..."

Naina searched the entire room downstairs. Until his steps reached the dining room. Naina finally breathes after seeing her two children at the dinner table.

His breath gasped, smiling with relief at Steve and Giselle eating voraciously.

"Darling, you're awake." Reygan who had just appeared from the direction of the kitchen greeted him. The man wore an apron on his large body, while in both hands was a plate containing fried rice that still reflected the smoke.

Naina immediately wiped away the rest of her tears. Slowly approaching her children.

"For Ma..." Steve greeted with a faint smile.

"Good morning Mama..." Giselle with her voice.

"Beloved one." replied Naina.

Naina sat in front of her two children, she smiled with relief. Suddenly a kiss landed on his forehead, "Ma's Eve..." Reygan did not forget to greet him while putting a plate of special fried rice made in front of Naina.

Naina flabbergasted. Moreover, the call made it late.

Again, Reygan clasped his shoulders tightly, the man's fingers wiping away the remaining tears on his puffy face. Reygan seemed to know what Naina was feeling just now.

"Don't be afraid, baby. I will not take away the children, as long as you remain beside me." whispered the man. Then kiss her cheeks briefly when Steve and Giselle are not looking.
