After that tense lunch, Naina hurriedly got into her pickup car. He had told Chris before, looking for a variety of reasons. He secretly searches for a safe place from Chris' sight, so as not to be discovered. Naina still has to pick up Steve from school.
Naina was ten minutes late because of the meeting. Steve must have been waiting for him.
And sure enough, Steve was waiting for him. The little boy threw his sharp gaze at Naina.
"Steve, I'm sorry. I have a little business in the office. Let's go home." said Naina, then clasped Steve's hand.
"Don't touch me! Poor fellow!" Steve put his hand away, then just got in the car. Naina who was used to getting in the car.
"How was your school today. Everything's fine, right?" ask Naina, who is actually worried about Steve. A few days ago, Naina had met Steve's homeroom teacher, to pay more attention to Steve than his friends' pranks.
Actually Naina wanted to sue the parents of the children who harassed Steve, but Steve still could not be invited to cooperate.
"What do you care?!" said sarcasm.
"Of course I care. Now you are my responsibility." said Naina.
"But you're not my mother who can manage me!"
"When did I tell you I was your mama?" naina's reply made Steve tick. Steve turned his face away, lazy to talk to Naina.
At the red light, the car stopped. Naina opened the car window, took fifty thousand dollars, and gave it to the buskers on the street.
"Thank you Ma'am" said the little boy with a beaming face. The money Naina gave was enough to eat these two days
"Beloved together. May God always protect you" Naina said before closing the windshield.
All of that did not escape Steve's sight. But he was just indifferent. And just as it turned its face outside, there was a small busker there.
Steve looked at the little boy, very grumpy and pitiful. I don't know what Steve's heart is, he's looking away. Not giving a little help to the child. Steve was rich in wealth, but his heart was poor in conscience.
After taking Steve home, Naina returned to the office. Back to work as usual. That is what Naina does every day. Take Steve before work, and then in the afternoon pick Steve up to school.
And today, Naina's schedule is pretty solid. After attending several meetings and meetings, he also had to make a report, and had to finish the day as well.
Luckily, Naina gets everything done quickly. He can be home by eight today. Arriving home, after taking a bath, Naina still could not calm down.
He still had to make milk for Steve before going to bed. Lately, there's been good progress from Steve. The boy no longer whines at Oma and Tante to read the story before going to bed. It seems Steve is starting to realize that he has been ignored by them. But not aware of the presence of Naina who is always attentive to him.
After making sure Steve was asleep, Naina returned to the room. Reygan hasn't come home yet to make it freer in this room. Naina is not sleeping. He still has to work out Chris' schedule for this one week.
While in this house, there have been many changes that Naina made. Like the layout of the furniture and the addition of some items. No one would protest what he did. In her room too, Naina added a small table for her to work on.
Not long after, the door of the room opened. Reygan's home. Naina glanced at him for a bit, then refocused on her work.
Not usually. Yesterday, Naina still greeted him by greeting him, but never ignored. But this time, Naina looked indifferent. Busy in their own world.
Reygan is equally. The man put his briefcase on the other table. Opening his shirt while going into the bathroom.
The ringing of her phone interrupted Naina who was in focus. "Sister Chris."
"Hello Brother."
Naina shifted her laptop further, taking a more relaxed sitting position.
"This is again compiling Brother's schedule."
"Well eat?"
"Udah Kak."
"Didn't sleep for long. In half an hour, you have to sleep. Ok?"
Naina looks at the clock, half an hour away at ten. "Ok Brother. Yes, brother. Naina's working again, let's get her ready soon."
"Yes my dear sister. Good night."
"Night too Brother."
Naina hung up her phone, she was surprised when she saw Reygan standing not far from her.
"Gosh." screeches. Reygan is normal. The man was wearing his pajamas.
"I just found out your boss is very considerate of you" said the man suddenly with his flat face.
"Huh?" Naina's confused.
A cynical smile rose on Reygan's face, "How does it feel to work with such an attentive boss? Fun, right?"
"What father do you mean?" Naina asked because she felt there was some insinuation in the question.
"You're too good at pretending Naina." Reygan said her name the second time. It made Naina swish. Swished in the sense of sensing a dangerous signal of that call.
"But it's a pity. I can't be fooled by your nature."
Naina bengong, trying to find Reygan's intentions.
"I don't mind at all what you're doing out there. But at least you can keep your limits. You and your boss can do things outside the limits like this afternoon. Don't you imagine what people would say if it wasn't me who had the meeting? My good name will be smeared." scowled the man.
Naina now understood, "But no one knows that I'm your wife sir." Naina's reply left Reygan speechless.
Reygan remembered that during their wedding, Rudi only invited a few colleagues who were very trusted only. No one knew Reygan was married.
Reygan narrowed his eyes, at a loss for words.
"At least appreciate this marriage. You don't deserve to have sex with the other man in front of me." that man is not out of his mind.
"But you did the same, Sir!" reply Naina firmly. "I guess you still haven't forgotten how you messed up with Alena's secretary, right?"
And Reygan is completely out of words to corner Naina.
"Listen this is well respected Mr. Reygan. Don't reproach me while you do the same. I don't mind what I do either. I also know the limits. You better have to find out the truth, before denouncing me!"
