Murderer
CHAPTER 54 - Mass Graves

The little girl who was swinging in the park frowned, when she saw her papa coming down from the green jeep Land Cruiser. In his heart he wondered, 'is not papa in the house?' He stopped playing and got off the swing then ran to greet the papa.

The little girl's steps receded. The man was not his father, but his face was similar.

“You Must be Citra.”

From inside the house, his real papa appears. The two people in front of him were like mirrors. The difference is, the man who just came has a scar above his left eye.

“Partra, this is Om Yudi. Papa's twin brother, Om Yudi on assignment in Papua. So, just came to get acquainted with you.”

This little girl finally understood, if her father turned out to have a twin brother.

Daydreams about the past are crumbling, as her Haris-driven rush stops in front of a former slum project land where Anto once lived. Not having any guidance from that place, they set off for home

The project of building luxury apartments owned by Arthasena company began to run. Citra, Haris and Jaka are increasingly difficult to investigate the place because the slums yesterday, already full of heavy equipment.

“According to Doctor Hendrawan, the Christian whom we have suspected is not the real Christian.” Haris repeated the explanation Citra when in the office earlier.

That morning they returned to zero point of inquiry. Home former barista Ryz cafe aka the coffee maker packaging coffee packaging KopiKu, tunnel former railway project, then last warehouse where Jaka was caught while investigating Doctor Hendrawan.

“It seems .. regarding the coffee packaging, shipping in large quantities to one address that is the warehouse where Jaka was caught yesterday.” Haris said the information he obtained from the former Ryz Cafe barista and brandished a piece of paper containing an address, while driving.

The discussion about coffee does not continue. They drifted back into each other's minds, until the car parked in front of an empty warehouse building. The warehouse where Jaka was caught by the psychopaths.

The three police officers went down, Citra gave a warning to enter carefully into the warehouse. Apparently, the warehouse was long abandoned. Maybe since Jaka managed to run away and Doctor Hendrawan turned himself in to the police.

Several large plastic drums rolled over, as well as empty jerry cans strewn across the floor. Haris held up one of the empty jerry cans, his facial features changed after smelling the pungent scent of the empty jerrycan.

“Liquid formalin.” Haris thrust the box object made of plastic to Citra.

They continued to enter the warehouse, the place was quite dark let alone the twilight was fading. Soon night will replace the orange out there.

The sound of falling objects was heard from the field beside the warehouse containing buildings made from container containers. The image immediately ran looking for the origin of the sound. There's no one there.

However, the blaze emerged from one of the container's former containers that looked different from the others. The building has windows, clearly visible if they often use the place.

“Contact extinguisher!” image Order on Haris and Jaka. The tail of his eyes caught a flash of black shadow running in the opposite direction from the warehouse.

“Stop!” Citra shouted while chasing the figure, Jaka followed Citra while Haris was on standby waiting for help to come. The mysterious figure continued to run towards the river bank.

Dorr!

The image was forced to fire warning shots, but was ignored. He continued to run towards the black van parked at the end of the slant. Not wanting the hunt to escape, Citra was forced to aim at the person's feet.

Dorr!

The shot hit his calf, again the man did not stop and he managed to reach the van which turned out to be ready to go.

“Sial!” The image kicked the stone in front of him while cursing.

The fire was slowly extinguished, the building was already charred. Bara and Citra entered the building regardless of the warnings of the firemen.

“It looks like it is used as clinic or laboratory.” Bara said as he pointed around the place which had several mats, a pole to hang the infusion and also blackened test tubes due to burning.

“Commander!” Haris's shout attracted the attention of Citra. He rushed over to his subordinates.

Haris' finger pointed at the awkward mound of earth and numbered quite a lot on the other side of the burning building earlier. The two of them approached the mounds of land that looked more like mass graves.

Curiosity Citra pushed herself to dig one of them with a crowbar that was nearby. A horrifying sight emerged after the iron tip touched something and Citra tried to take the object with her hand.

The dull white thing he dropped back, his body was so limp that he fell on the ground.

“I—it tu—lang human, Ndan.” Haris' voice trembled as his body also trembled.

“Call the forensic officer here!” image's orders, but Haris is unmoved. “Quick!” then shouted.

“Si—ready, Ndan!” Haris rushes off and calls forensic officers including Bara.

When it reached the point designated by Haris, the forensic officers began to dig with the help of existing patrol officers. Everyone was engulfed in an aura of horror because what they dug was indeed a mass grave that had somehow been made.

The coals compose the bones they find. She was joking with a furious tone, “Crazy. They really are crazy people!”

“One hole they use to bury two to three people at a time. Not only that, their victims were not just adults. Look, this skeleton belongs to a boy who is at least ten years old!” The emotional tone was clearly reflected in the sound of the Bara vibrating. He took a breath and clenched his teeth in annoyance.

Mute, those involved in the excavation of the mass grave were suddenly silent at Bara's remark. These guys are crazier than the psychopaths they dealt with yesterday. At least Banyu Aji and Faisal killed for revenge. They also do not hurt children.

“Doctor Bara, here are two bodies that look new. They're just about to go through a rot!” One of the forensic officers shouted to call Bara closer to his place.

The image and Haris trailing behind Bara, it is true that the buried corpse looks still quite intact. At least Bara could have autopsied the body a little easier.

“Bring all to the hospital!” Bara ordered the officers to bring their findings for inspection. “It looks like I will be working overtime again for a few days,” lamented as it passed away.

“O, yes. You know what I found there?” He stepped back, then turned around and asked Citra while pointing at the burning container with his thumb. The one asked just looked at him in surprise.

“Some sheets of paper that seem to contain a formula whether it be drugs or poisons.” Bara answered his own question.

The two officers' eyebrows linked, 'What exactly are these psychopaths looking for? Are they involved in drug syndicates or are they traffickers of human organs?' Many questions raged in the minds of Citra.

At least in addition to Doctor Hendrawan, they have one more expert. So what exactly is their purpose?

...----------------...

Eventually they all return to the office and overtime to solve the case immediately. When Citra was cleaning up the files on the table, the brown envelope with no description or name caught her attention. He carefully unsealed the envelope.

Some photos in the envelope, making the legs Citra unable to support his body. The image of sitting limp in his chair with his hands tightly grasped a piece of the photo that most made him shocked.
