Murderer

Murderer
CHAPTER 43 - The Loss of Jaka (Revised)

Jaka stepped his feet slowly, the land around the river was quite muddy after rain flushed the outskirts of Manggala. The only way to find out about Doctor Hendrawan is to walk down where they first met the man. The dark and cloudy atmosphere made Jaka's visibility short.

He finally found a road that connects the banks of the river to the residential area of the residents, the settlement was so dense. Simple types of houses that are clinging to each other, typical of suburban settlements.

In this alley, Jaka's visibility is quite helped by dim street light. The digital number on his G-Shock watch already shows at nine p.m. No wonder if the place was already so quiet, only the faint sound of television was heard from some houses.

A person who staggered hit Jaka's body. His hand held the bottle of alcohol, the contents of the bottle were almost gone. He pointed annoyed at Jaka. “Be careful when you walk, dude!”

Jaka passed the drunk and ignored him, not knowing what he was looking for in this narrow alley. God was very good to him. The obsolete neon box that had not lit was the answer to his search.

Hendrawan Pharmacy

Practice dr. Hendrawan, Sp.OT

The house looks empty, the remnants of rain are still transformed into drizzle. There was no sign of life in the house.

“You are looking for Doctor Sir?” Jaka jumped in shock suddenly there was a voice heard from behind him.

A teenage girl stood about fifty centimeters away from him. One hand held an umbrella and the other held a plastic bag filled with fried food.

“You are looking for Doctor Sir?” The girl repeated her question.

“I—iya.”

With her hand still holding the fry, the girl pointed in the opposite direction to the side Jaka came from earlier.

“I saw the Doctor on the way there. Looks like it's in a hurry.”

“Thank you yes, you come home quickly. It's late, not good for a girl like you.” Jaka smiled knots then walked quickly towards the direction the girl pointed at.

The end of the alley is a fork. Deciding to follow instinct, Jaka turned to the right. He continued down the narrow streets that were getting darker and darker. Armed with a flashlight from his cell phone, the road was deadlocked.

There is a wire fence that closes the end of the road restricts the road with a very large yard. A large warehouse-like building was on the right side of the street. While the page contains some used containers that have not been used.

Without a second thought, Jaka tried his luck. If he's lucky, then the warehouse isn't locked. Somehow his instinct told me if Doctor Hendrawan went inside.

It opens! Jaka cried out in his heart. Since the door of the barn was not locked, he stepped carefully. It seemed to be just a link to the large courtyard earlier.

The sound of his feet echoed slightly inside the empty room. But there was no reaction from the corner in the warehouse, meaning the warehouse was empty without guards and contained only a few piles of cardboard and empty jerry cans.

Jaka finally found a door that he could see the light of a yellow light bulb from inside. He approached slowly, trying not to make a sound. Inside there was a heated debate between two men.

“I can no longer follow your game!” The owner of the voice was like a man who was quite old.

“Only grandpa can do this for us! His expert grandfather.” This time a much younger man's voice sounded.

Silent for a moment, then the young man started talking again, “I promise, this is the last one.”

Trying to see who was inside, Jaka accidentally dropped some jerry cans. The noise made the person in the room come out before Jaka could escape.

Looks like Jaka has been trapped and surrounded by the guards. Fierce fights were inevitable again. But their numbers were too many, so Jaka was eventually forced to surrender.

In front of the two men, Jaka knelt with his ankles and hands tied. “Aren't you one of those stupid cops that made me lose a fish?” Doctor Hendrawan lifted Jaka's chin.

“She has seen grandfather and should not be allowed to live.” The young man walked closer. Jaka recognized the object in the young man's hand. It was a dog leash used to hang the dead homeless.

Jaka's view turned towards Doctor Hendrawan. He's looking for some sense, so he can get out of here. Suddenly a guard came in and whispered something to the young man, a wicked grin clearly visible on his face.

“Time to hunt wild dogs!” He exclaimed with joy like a child.

Doctor Hendrawan glanced at Jaka with a glaring eye before he followed the young man out of the room. Knowing there were only two guards outside, Jaka tried to untie his hands and feet. He finally succeeded. He silently attacked the two guards until he collapsed and ran out of the warehouse.

Jaka kept running in the dark alley. He cursed his stupidity of forgetting to charge the phone before going to investigate. This time he focused only on the streets and hoped they would not catch up until he got to where his car was parked.

The sound of a hunting dog was heard from a distance. Slowly the voice approached as Jaka reached the road by the river, someone ambushed from behind and snared his neck. He tried to rebel, but his resistance was in vain.

Jaka's body is weakened. The last thing he saw was the young man in the barn. As his consciousness began to dissipate, he recalled who the young man was. However, late.

This morning, the Citra division again received a report about the murder of a homeless person again. Imagar thought, the killer was already scared and stopped doing the action. But his conjecture turns out to be wrong, the killer still dares to act.

The image towards TKP is only with Haris, because Jaka has not appeared since yesterday. Though his subordinates were not used to skipping work.

In the CTF there are already Bara and Rianti, they look pale. “Tumben, you see a corpse until it's that pale ... does his spirit bother you?”

Rianti hit Citra's arm in annoyance. “Can-can be kidding about ghosts at the scene of the discovery of corpses!”

This female inspector chuckled, she put up her rubber gloves. As soon as the body bag opened, the look on Citra's face changed. He turned to look at Bara and Rianti asked for an explanation. This body not only lost both wrists. But also the legs up to the knee limit.

“You know how this corpse position we found first?” Rianti gave a question to Citra.

“Depends as usual with dog bridle?” Citra answered lightly.

Rianti formed a cross with both hands. “Indeed the killer was still using the reins to strangle the victim, but this time, he did not hang this corpse. Except ...”

“Binding it like being tying a dog.” Bara cut Rianti's speech. “Mutilated body parts are like a trophy for the offender. He took something from the victim's body and saved it.”

The feeling of mixed image, means that Anto's speech has been right. Those people just assume the vagabonds are stray dogs to get rid of.

“Crazy psycho! He thought human life was a toy and that part of their body was a souvernir!?“ Haris felt furious.

One hour they were in the TKP and Citra only realized that one of its subordinates had not yet arrived at the location. Where's Jaka? Is he not well? His mind wondered about Jaka.
