Murderer

Murderer
CHAPTER 47 - Secrets of Past Revenge

*Sirine police car and ambulance woke up Jaka who was asleep in the car. He was surprised to find that the surroundings were already full of patrol cars.

Jaka got out of the car, trying to figure out what was going on. Jaka's disheveled appearance made his colleagues were no exception Haris surprised.

“Jaka! Where have you been?” The same question that his commander asked slid off Haris' lips. Jaka raised a hand hinting that Haris had not asked about her and he asked for an explanation of what was going on in their commander's house.

Haris scratched his head clumsily, he just pointed towards the warehouse. Looking at the direction that Haris pointed, Jaka's view turned to the warehouse. He saw the little boy his commander had brought into the office hanging lifeless there.

Jaka's legs were limp, he retreated a few steps until he almost fell down, if only Haris did not support him.

“That guy's really crazy, crazy psychopath! Could he kill an innocent little boy.” It was as if Jaka was pointing at the wind, because they did not know who was the perpetrator of Anto's murder.

“Doctor that ... Doctor Hendrawan! He must be with the culprit!” exclaimed Jaka, considering the terrible task given to Doctor Hendrawan.

“No way, he is now inside the cell. Doctor Hendrawan turned himself in yesterday.” Haris dismissed Jaka's allegations about the old doctor.

For a moment, Jaka was stunned, he seemed to try to remember the details that happened when he was taken hostage by the psychopath a few days ago. The madman's face was covered in thick makeup, but there was something on his cheek like a burn scar.

“The guy has a burn on his cheek, I'm sure it is!” Jaka's words made Citra and Haris simultaneously turn to him.

The image that had been sitting limp on the dining chair stood up and approached Jaka. He wanted to know the details of the perpetrator who might have also killed Anto.

Before Jaka could explain about the perpetrator, Bara appeared with several sheets of paper in his hand.

“Sorry, I immediately slid here when I knew there was a case that happened here,” he said while installing rubber gloves that he always carried everywhere. He placed the papers on the table and approached Rianti.

Bara saw the pity of the poor boy, just now this boy felt the beauty of having a family as good as Citra, now he had to die without knowing what mistakes he had made. There really are cold-hearted people in this world.

Anto's face implied fear and pain, why torture this boy? The small body was covered in bruises, it seemed like Anto was trying to fight the criminal who injured her. That's why Citra's house is a little messy.

“How could Anto have seen the psychopath?” Haris asked his commander one possibility.

The image is only able to shake weakly, he does not know what is wrong with the boy until the perpetrator can do this all. Citra House has now been given a yellow line of police, for a while he will live in the apartment Rianti and Jaka live with Haris.

He took a cell phone to contact his parents and reported Anto's death to them. But no one answered his call. The thought image of papa and his mother may be busy or there is an event*.

Terrains

*Baretta M9 that has been fitted with a silencer is pointed at the head of a woman. The cold iron snout was tightly stuck to his temple.

Rita knelt with her hands tied behind her back, as did Adi, her husband. They don't understand why Evelyn did this. They have been best friends for a long time.

“Eve, a—what are you doing?” Rita tried to talk to the woman who had been their best friend since college.

Evelyn just smiled cynically, she played the tip of Rita's hair. With half a whisper he said, “You have a past debt to me.”

“Hu—what debt?” This time Adi asked because neither he nor his wife understood what Evelyn was talking about.

The woman did not answer, she was disturbed by the sound of her second cell phone that would not stop. He grabbed the noisy object and saw the name of Citra on the screen of Rita's phone.

“That's pa—definitely Citra. He will cu—suriga if we don't answer his call.” Adi is still trying to negotiate with Evelyn even though he knows it's free.

“Then, when I needed help, you guys ignored me.” Evelyn turned off the phones of her two hostages.

“What do you mean?” Rita doesn't understand.

Adi and Rita try to remember clearly the events of the past, but fail. Seeing the two unable to remember her, Evelyn began to remind them back.

That day was the day they finished their mid-semester exam. To relieve fatigue, Adi and Darius invite Rita and Evelyn to camping at tourist attractions located in the suburbs.

They finally went there early the next morning. Just because it is not good to refuse the invitation of his best friend, Rita who is not healthy forces herself to join the camp. Moreover, yesterday's exam completely drained his brain.

When arriving at the actual campground it is a tourist destination and the place has cottages. However, they also provide an area for nature lovers to set up tents. This time they decided to camp.

When setting up the tent, suddenly Rita's head that was not healthy was dizzy and she almost fell unconscious. Adi who felt responsible for forcing them here, immediately brought Rita to the clinic which was not too far away from that place.

Evelyn, however, wants to go with them. He felt uncomfortable living alone with Darius.

“I'm coming with you, yes,” pinta Evelyn. Adi and Rita exchanged glances, they couldn't possibly take Evelyn with a piggyback. Since the four of them were going to this location by riding a motorbike, the two of them joined hands while Evelyn hugged Darius.

“You just wait here, how can we do three? Except Darius wants to come.” Adi was trying to give Evelyn some understanding.

Of the four of them, Evelyn is a spoiled girl, because she is the only child of a famous doctor couple. He himself was a doctor. Once Evelyn understood, they left her with Darius.

It's late, but Rita and Adi haven't returned yet. Evelyn became anxious, she could not sleep because she was not used to sleeping in the open. Suddenly a black shadow was seen outside the tent and Darius appeared startling Evelyn.

“You can't sleep? Want to catch up with them?” bargain Darius to him. Evelyn nodded, she was anxious about Rita's condition.

Darius glanced at his watch, “Still at 7pm, not too late. We can still catch them there. Besides, the distance is not too far.”

Evelyn put on her jacket, they went after Rita and Adi. On the way, Evelyn did not speak much, until she found Darius turning in the opposite direction to the subdistrict.

“Where are we going?” evelyn asked frantically especially when she realized the quiet warehouse area they had entered.

Darius stopped the bike. Evelyn's anxiety ensued, from the beginning Darius had malicious intentions on her. She had expressed love for Evelyn many times but was rejected, because Evelyn wanted to focus on her studies.

Who would have thought that rejection caused evil intentions in Darius' heart. That night, with no one to help her, Evelyn's honor was cruelly taken away by Darius. Not only that, he left Evelyn fainted there alone.

Some drunken tramps who saw a girl lying helplessly took the opportunity to brave her. The next morning, Evelyn was found unconscious and taken to hospital.

Evelyn's memory was muddled, she only remembered about the vagrants back then and did not remember Darius at all. The rape case also rose to the media and made Doctor Hendrawan angry.

He did not want his good name to be smeared, so he decided to move abroad. Especially after that event, Evelyn conceived without knowing who the father of the child she was carrying*.

Evelyn took a deep breath, she stared back at Rita and Adi. “You know? Who is Citra exactly?”

Rita shakes. He only knew Citra was an orphan they raised as a child.

“He's the son of Darius, I killed his wife and made her kill herself with poison. Then I kidnapped their son and dumped him at Benedict.” orphanage Evelyn's speech made Adi and Rita stunned.

“Lantas what is your destination!?” Adi lost his patience at last. But when he tried to fight, the hot lead penetrated his temple and made him sprawled with blood.

“Tidaaakk!” Rita's cry broke to see her husband fall dead.

“Goodbye, I make sure Darius' son will suffer greatly, if he does not catch me immediately.”

The second eruption of the firearm that was not heard because of the silencer, finally claimed the lives of the two Citra foster parents. Is Citra able to solve the puzzle of her case and drive herself to meet the cruel woman named Evelyn?
