Ep.51 Do I Look Sad?

After the dish they ordered came, they ate it quietly, without a word coming out of their mouths and when they finished they decided to leave immediately.

“Want to stop by the mall first?” max asked intending to let the woman refresh first, so that his mind does not continue to remember the events of yesterday.

Zevana shook her head “Um... Can I stop by the park for a minute?” tanyanya doubt.

He was a little unkind to ask Max to go to the park and he also doubted if the man would agree to it because they had to turn around and go some distance from their apartment but Max agreed just like that.

Although it was now almost ten at night in the park it still looked quite crowded people there were even some small children who were seen coming with their parents.

Zevana prepares to get off the car then glances towards Max “I'll take a walk looking, you want to get off or wait here?” tanyakanya.

“I'm coming with you” said Max turned off his car and prepared to get off with Zevana.

They were really just walking away and neither Zevana nor Maxime started the conversation, Max watched and kept Zee from behind letting the woman walk in front of him.

After a short walk they decided to return and while on the way to the parking lot, Zee accidentally saw a waffle booth at the end there.

He turned around to look at Max and stopped the man's steps “Why?” ask Max.

“Do you have cash?” the question was, he wanted to buy waffles topping ice cream but did not bring his wallet.

Max reached into his pocket and opened his wallet but there was no cash there, he was actually a little embarrassed but he really did not like holding cash because it was complicated.

“You want to buy what?” tanyanya looked at Zevana then glanced around her “Can't use the card?” ask again.

Zevana pointed towards the waffle booth it was following with Max also looking towards the booth “It looks like they are not using kartup” he said.

“I will trade it first, you just wait here briefly” said Max.

Zevana quickly stopped the man “No, no need. I can buy it next time” he said with a thin smile.

Actually he really wanted the waffle but he did not want to bother Max who had to exchange money first and he also did not want to live alone here.

“You sure? Near here there is an ATM machine, will not be long” asked Max to make sure.

Zevana nodded her head “Hem is okay, next time” he said then walked first to the parking lot.

Max sighed violently and then followed the steps of the woman and arrived in the car he let Zevana enter himself “Wait here, just for a moment. Don't open the door to a stranger” he said then walked half-run leaving Zevana in his car.

About fifteen minutes he came back with a waffle with a strawberry vanilla ice cream topping in his hand “This, does it taste right?” tanyanya while giving the waffle to Zevana who almost cursed him for waiting a long time.

Zee frowned but still accepted the waffle and looked at Max full of question marks “Ah, thank you” he said.

After leaving Zevana in his car he walked back to the waffle booth and asked if he could pay with a card but it was true they did not have a card machine. Because seeing Max who asked about the closest ATM machine the seller also suggested to pay via cell phone only and that's how Max can get the waffle.

They are now on their way home, Max occasionally glances towards Zevana who is cool eating his waffles and the stared at finally realized it.

“Ah, would you like to try?” the bargain after the waffle was only a quarter.

The woman just nodded her head and did not offer Max to try it again and in an instant the waffle was just a wrapper.

“Zee wake! Hey, wakeup! Zee!”

Max continues to shake Zevana's body to wake the woman up, Zee looks restless in his sleep even he let out small moans. He looks uncomfortable in his sleep and it looks like the woman again dreamed of the incident in the villa yesterday.

“Zee wake up!” said Max who continued to shake Zee's body, until the woman jolted awake from her sleep.

With chest up and down and breath down Zee gasps at the weak Max “K-why, am I late?” weak tanyanya.

Max shook his head “No, it's still one in the morning. Are you okay, are you dreaming about it again?” ask Max.

Zevana sighed rough then nodded her head slowly “Em, I'm fine.

“Wait a minute” said Max then go out of Zee's room.

When back Max was seen carrying a glass of water but when the door of the room opened his steps became rushed because he saw the woman sitting curled up and crying. Max quickly put the water on the nightstand and hugged Zevana tightly, trying to calm her down.

“What's up, hem?” ask Max gently

Zevana hugged Max tightly back “K-why is she always haunting me? Every want to close the eyes of the shadow is always coming, me... me..” he said almost crying.

Max stroked Zevana's back gently “Iya, now you're safe. You'll be fine” he said.

He gave her a glass of water and drank it to Zevana after she hugged her again until she became a little calm.

“Now sleeping huh? I will accompany you and I make sure the memory will not dare to come back” said Max as if he could control the dream, Zevana looked up to hold her laugh and nodded slowly.

Max lays Zevana down and lies down next to her and even in the same blanket, Max pulls Zevana back into his arms, drowning the woman in his chest.

“Do not be afraid anymore, I will take care of you” he said gently while gently stroking Zevana's head.

“K-why are you so good today? Do I look pathetic?” ask Zevana lirih.

Zee could feel if the man who was hugging him shook his head “No, tomorrow we will go back to work. If you don't sleep now then you'll make me late tomorrow” Max said back flat.

“I'll be fine even if I don't sleep, I won't make you late. You do not need to accompany me like this” said Zevana who actually tightened her embrace.

Max smiles because the woman's speech is very different from her behavior “Can you not argue and just sleep? I also need sleep” he said again speaking in a cool and flat tone.

That sounds sickening but he doesn't want to get out of Max's arms even though it sucks but he needs Max, Max, the man's embrace was comfortable and warm indeed could not be revealed that Max's embrace made him so calm. After a while lying in silence Zevana fell asleep and soon after Maxime also fell asleep.
