“I don't know the truth. But I don't think Aiden was having an affair that night. Or perhaps, she was too traumatic because of her guilt that she could not remember the memory of the night in the slightest.”

Zura and Varlos fell silent, drifting in their respective thoughts. Varlos turned his head, looking at Zura more closely, still with a sweet smile that was very alluring.

“You know? To be honest, you are my ideal type of woman. Too bad our relationship can only be limited to brother and sister-in-law.”

Zura frowned.

“Do you think this is something worth talking about?” zura asked, even the girl changed her language using formal.

“For example you are a widow though, I will still be captivated and feel lucky if married to you, Zura.”

Everyone who heard Varlos' words would definitely think that the man was teasing Zura.

“Please don't ruin my fantasies about your charismatic, Mr Varlos!”

“Haha.” Varlos chuckled lightly, he looked back to the front, somehow looking in which direction.

For a moment Zura was silent. His mind went crazy hearing the idol's confession. Varlos said that while looking firmly ahead, instead of looking at Zura with a seductive look. Varlos only spoke honestly about his opinion. For some reason, Zura felt a little bit of heartache.

“I beg you. Please don't leave Aiden. Keep hanging out next to my sister. Give him warmth. Stay with him and support him. Forgive mistakes.. At least try to do all of that. I am so begging you, Saffir Azura Antarest. No matter how much pain or disappointment you have to bear, I don't care.”

Zura's tears welled up. The girl felt her heart mixed. In front of him, there was an older brother who asked Zura to forgive his sister's mistakes. A very sincere brother, and very fond of his sister. A sister who worries about her sister.

I don't know why, it hurts. Varlos asks Zura to forget Aiden's betrayal. Varlos asks Zura to accept Aiden completely. Varlos asks Zura to accompany and support Aiden as a wife should. And Varlos asks Zura not to leave Aiden.

Zura would support her if their household life was fine.

But, is it easy to forgive a husband who has cheated and acted rude? Zura wasn't that generous.

“You know I'm a lawyer, Zura. And not only that, my connections are all over this city. Ranging from honest people who are firm, to greedy capitalists who are cynical and cunning.”

“While it must tarnish my entire career, despite having to betray all my hard work all this time, I don't care. If Aiden is tortured when he has to release you, then I will make you unable to escape from Aiden.”

“While you feel like you live in hell, I will leave you with no choice but to stay with Aiden.”

Varlos's right. Zura never forgave Aiden completely. Although he gave Aiden a second chance, his heart was no longer the same. Although he could behave as if he had not changed, in fact Zura's judgment had changed.

Zura looked at Varlos nanar, with a bitter smile that was very thin and forced. He was facing an enemy that was too dangerous.

Varlos was the first human to guess Zura's feelings. Guessing that everything he did was just an amazing show.

Varlos smiled, with the same smile. The smile that now felt stifling to Zura. A smile that made his self-esteem and determination waver. A smile that made the girl feel the cliff under her footing. A sweet smile, which felt terrible.

“I'm not asking, Zura. I'm threatening.”

“So, do the job well.”

With that same smile review, Varlos stepped out in undeterred steps. Leaving Zura, as if she had never been there before.

“Selena!”

The call made Selena's body riveted. If the father has called him with a cold tone like this, especially by adding the letter ‘a’, then his life is no longer safe.

Selena turned her head towards her father, who put on a hard and indifferent face. Indicating that the anger of the middle-aged man had already peaked.

“What's up, dad?” selen asked, trying hard to make her voice not shake. Of course all this courage is thanks to the teachings of Zura.

Even though that courage is accompanied by trepidation.

“What does your sister do?” ask Dhika later.

“Sister Adam? I don't know..” Selen shrugged her shoulders wryly. He knew that the older brother his father meant was Zura, Selen's older cousin. The girl just intentionally replied that. After all, Selen's brother and sister are just Adam's sister.

Selen looked at her father with a tired and sad face.

“Kak Zura is his only paternal nephew. Can't you be better with her?” ask Selen. He was really tired of his father severely restricting Zura's life, even more strictly than he and Adam.

“Am I being mean?!” Andhika's voice was rising.

“Stop Daddy's obsession on sister. Dad hurt her!!”

“I just want to take care of it!! I consider her like my own daughter!”

“Daddy is like a Dad who just wants to exploit his daughter!”

“SELEN!!”

Selen's eyes glazed.

“Dad keeps making life plans for sister. Do you think you gave your brother the freedom to choose his life? Bullshit!”

“SELEN!!!”

“Dad told sister to be a career woman or teacher. It is always a choice of A or B. But I want a choice C. Brother wants to be a singer, sister wants to be a song composer, sister wants to be a designer as well as a model. Did dad know? Which part is your brother free to choose?”

“Dad never, though, father never really understood brother. I know, you know, everybody knows you love you too. It's just, dad showed it in a less precise way. Brother is an adult, and she is no longer the daughter of the father that you have to manage all the ways of his life. He wants to live life by his own choice."

"Please, respect the choice of your brother, and you can simply say that you will help and support him. Dad just need to convince brother, that dad is always there for him and will help him, whenever brother asks.”
